Well done. But I think you have one with the opening rear window. Ours doesn't, just the whole rear door opens. We also sleep in it sometimes; we have some plywood sheets that go down flat, I'm 6 foot 1", about 185cm,` and I'm quite comfy in the shorter Rifter. Greetings from Ireland

I've just done similar - the clips are part no 6991Z1.
Some things I did differently: I used spade connectors so I can disconnect the switch if I need to remove the trim panel again, and just stripped a bit of the insulation without cutting the existing wire (it should be a bit stronger; if the joint were to fail completely you'd have a bad day getting the tailgate open again!) - you could also use IDC tap and splice connectors, I've seen another video using scotchlok 560B but they're a bit big for the cable really, looks like RS part 510-4810 might do better.

If the suitcases hit that switch the trunk will pop open and the luggage will fall onto the road.

Hello. While you drive the car automatically locks the outside locks, so the button is disabled unless you press the unlock button on the middle dash. Very convinient, but accidental haha. If you missed it, we also chose buttons that are flush and don't stick out, so that reduces the risk of something accidently opening it while the doors are not locked for whatever reason.
