I definitely got a Monty Python vibe a few times- the owl, the unheated oven, the hare. Anyone else?

Since time immemorial, man has desperately needed to endure the oppression of losses, deal with traumas and reconcile with himself after emotional and psychological crises. Using drugs, participating in mysterious and frightening ceremonies, consulting oracles, and penetrating deep unknown caves are all ways to shake up anyone's perception to create a rite of passage. Before experiences like these people know themselves in one way, after them people know a new aspect of themselves and can reflect on the profound transition they have gone through. Roman religion was not based on valuing personal mystical experiences, but on synchronizing people with political, social and military purposes. This explains why Rome banned Greek religious practices that could discredit Roman beliefs.

I don’t understand these documentaries. Are they old and public domain? Who is this guy? Why isn’t he introduced? It’s clearly from the 90s or early 00s.

Nope. It is a mythologized idea that is part of many myths separated by thousands of years and thousands of miles. Book coming soon.

If Hades had stood up for himself and declared that he had first choice, would we possibly call the land of the dead Zeus?
