Memories of The League on the turntable in Pennsylvania 1982. Silent years of Fripp, Eno, Byrne, Holy Spirit inspired music ends 2008. Visions of videos never made, of farm equipment in flyover Indiana 2012. Awesome dream music... God save the Texas border 2024.
@@foggyshades8338 yeah, I agree. Good morning, Holy Spirit. (The above comment was a personal reminiscent trip through a life's memory land.) much left unsaid. so close but yet so far. Level up, out of this simulation world. John 3:16! edit: ua-cam.com/video/RLOSC3gVFX0/v-deo.html
I remember seeing this group at The 9:30 Club in Washington DC, back in the day! It was one of those next day experiences where you can't recall how the hell you got home last night, in my late 20's!?🙄
Is this the track of which Mr. Fripp made clear, in its album’s liner notes, that its six-note circular guitar foundation, played in its background throughout, was accomplished not with a tape loop, nor with any kinds of track alterations or edits, but was instead played straight through from beginning to end without interruption? Because if it is, then listening again today with a little more playing experience under my belt, I can feel my hand cramping at just the thought of it!
with much (MUCH) practice I cant see how it's *possible* but god would be so boring to play... But I complain about all recording of music in general. (I hate recording takes)
I believe its absolutely possible, Fripp is just an absolutely inimitable player - Once he said he had had a dream where he had seen new structures that were encouraging him to play then when he is back. Furthermore, he was practicing for a month to keep up a stable pace for Fracture. It’s definitely inner space
Yes it is, Fripp wrote that this was the second attempt, because the first broke up after a couple of minutes. A difficult guitar part to play, but with little scope anyway.

I LOVE FRIPP MUSIC!!!!!
prototype of 80's king crimson
One of the BEST tracks I've ever hear! Fripp is genious! Greetings from Belarus
This is maybe Fripp's most outrageous solo ever. The end of it is sheer filth. It's great.
It bears a striking resemblance to his soloing on Requiem (from Beat).

I have no choice but to drive very fast to this.

I also believe that Fripp, Eno and Byrne are inspired by the Holy Spirit.

A lot of fire in the soloing from Fripp here
🔥💥🔥🎸🔥💥🔥
the tubes are hella arcing in my mind as this song plays!
LO MÁXIMO!!!!!!
always dug this choon from the 1st "tLoG" cassette i bought in the early 80's...
Sam Spelvin what’s a choon?
@@trevorsanders5303...erm Tune??
Bought this album back in College back in 86'....I always thought this song to be very dramatic, fit for futuristic dystopian cinema.

I read an interview that that particular part "took an act of sheer will" to perform. I believe it.

I entirely agree!

Brilliant
Quite magnificent!
Love the uncredited David Byrne!
This is great!
what a solo album by RF and TLOG released in 1981!

Miss your crimson uploads :(, have you stored them somewhere before that copyright debacle?
One of the few songs where everyone in the audience would have their eyes glued to the rhythm guitarist instead of the lead
Someone needs to make a riff on the Spider-Man pointing meme but with two Robert Fripps
Sí, es Fripp
"life is good... god save the queen"
"but, could be better... god save the king"
Thanks
I’m liking this, he’s letting himself go here🙂
I greatly enjoy how 3:37 repeats at 10:38
I hadn't ever noticed that! It's really good indeed :D
I also just noticed 1:13 also repeats at 8:41. I really like how these two varied portions of the song are tied together by the same repeating solos.
I think these repetitions are done by studio editing.
@@andsalomoni Very likely. It's a good addition imo.
@@cayugaduck5478 I tried to listen closely, and the sound imperfections seem to be the same in the repetitions.
