- We have a special one for everyone. @HomesteadJay and I are starting a new series where we will be comparing old school boilers and new school boilers. First test is doing a test to see how his boiler handles the same species of wood and same amount and size of splits. Testing our burn times against one another. Tune into both our videos to see the results.

Thanks for spending the time/energy on this series! Its awesome to see how each boiler behaved with the same wood! Now the wheels are turning for more ideas LOL
Plenty of videos to add to this series. Waiting to hear what the viewers want to see.

Thank you. More to come.
Superb video. Once again both You and Homestead Jay have put informative, high quality content that is also entertaining. Have a great day.
Thank you. And we are going to try and keep making videos to compare and talk about. Try and get as much info out there that we can.
There is one thing I believe would be interesting to know. I am not sure how you would figure it out. What is the average water temperature returning to the boilers. @@Treestofirewood
@user-sp6ki8ty2j we could do that. Just need a nice probe on the return lines that will monitors the temperatures. That’s not hard to do at all. Just the cost to purchase the system.
Here’s a question - if you’re heating roughly 6000sq ft - why the G10,000 vs. G7,000? I’ve heard these stoves “like to work”, so getting something smaller I figured would have been better. Thanks! Great series and love the channel.
The reason I bought the 10,000 is because I also have a heated driveway that it also heats. It also heats my firewood kiln. So yes she does get out to work. And when our addition gets done our house will double in size and will also be heating a huge custom hot tub. So in theory it won’t be big enough for all of that and right now is running like a diesel truck when I’m running everything. Watch some of my other videos and you will see. Out of anyone I know I run my boiler year round and with the right wood she barely has to run. No problem keeping a fire in the summer just heating our domestic hot water.
You did a really good job yes my outdoor wood stove get 12 hours burn time I burn down anything I like your new video you did a good jop love your video 🔥
Thank you. What kind of stove do you have?
It is same outdoor wood stove like your
Oh nice
Great way to see which style would work best for your lifestyle. Thank you for the comparison and can’t wait to see how this evolves for you guys
Glad you liked the video comparison. We should be doing a lot more videos from here on out.
Needed to see in the boiler
That’s the one thing I didn’t do. Sorry about that. I looked afterwords and it was just coals. If I would have stirred them up and shut the door it would have went another burn cycle so maybe an extra hr or two.
First time viewer. Come over from Homestead Jay
You have a video tour of your heating set up??
I believe I do. But I think I will do a video here shortly going over what I all heat with the boiler. And really break it all down. Thank you for coming along.
is the machine beside the stove a log splitter
It’s a 16-24 firewood processor. I have a bunch of videos on it already. Few days from now will be processing a ton more wood.
Why doesn’t anyone add an exhaust fan above the door to exit the smoke outside?
We will be doing that here shortly
