Thank you so much 😊 The beginnings on UA-cam are hard. But comments like yours keep me motivated. Thank you 😊
Frrrrr
0:58 chamomile ❌
1:16 apple cider vinegar❌
1:34 6% of hydrogen peroxide (works best)
1:46 (works best)
2:04 beer (meh, it does work but it’s reallyyy gentle)
2:15 lemon water (a bit difference)
2:23 honey and water 2:41 + cinnamon ❌
What works best is hydrogen peroxide 6% with same amount of camomile tea concentration (which made the peroxide turns to become 3% only, as I understod
Why chamomile is not ?
Thnx❤
Thank you for doing this!!!
What a fabulous video!!!!
This video ticks so many boxes for me!! Such an honest and thorough experiment, I really appreciate the effort you put into this! ❤
Thank you so much 😊
Thank you so much for this! You have answered that age old question “Can lemons lighten hair without the sun?” Now I know the answer is yes! Thanks again, this is the most helpful lightening video I’ve ever seen!!! 💖
Ohh thank you 😊 I'm so happy that the video was useful for you ☺️ Thank you for your comment.
This was very helpful. I found that the honey+cinnamon+water mixture works really good to pull out semi-permanent hair dye and for me, it was even successful on permanent dye! I am impressed how well the hydrogen peroxide and chamomille tea worked. So cool !!
really? can I use only cinnamon with water because I can't find true honey
@@nawnaweveye-nz1bzyou can just use regular honey
samee it really doesn’t lighten the hair in the beginning but it gives a beautiful reddish tint to the hair i like adding little amounts yoghurt apple cider vinegar olive oil and lemon juice for shine the lemon juice with the honey water and cinnamon gave a slight lightning effect on the first try with red tints i was surprised because just 1 day before i had hennaed my hair with a brown henna powder but found out it was wayyy darker than i expected and literally after applying the honey lemon juice cinnamon olive oil acv and yoghurt i didn’t achieve the result i wanted but the lightning effect was very very obvious and adding yoghurt made my hair so shiny and healthy so when i was standing in the sun the next day it was so shiny and the color was more of natural brown with natural red tints ( it is said that the mask should be used twice a week for better results or until reaching the color you desire)
Could you do this and lay in the sun, or does that not matter?
@@bastian9693first thing I thought was picnic time for the bees and other bugs 😅😂
Loved these experiments. I lighten my hair with juice from a lemon while allowing my hair to dry in the sun. When it dries, I spray H2O on my hair and let the sun dry it. After 2 days of doing this while gardening, my hair has a wonderful sun-kissed look.
That amazing 😍 I'm spending lots of time in the garden so I should do the same as well 😉 Thank you for your comment ☺️
does the peroxide leave a coppery highlight after lightening your natural hair color?
Could you please tell me what percentage H2O you use? 3% or 6%?
@@silmf3613 100%. I wet my hair down with a water (H2O), hose and let it dry in the sun.
Did it dry your hair out at all?
Can you make an experiment with the most effective lightening treatments plus sun explosure! That would be so cool. I love your video.
Thank you for your comment 😊 That's a great idea for the experiment! Let's wait for the stronger sun 😉
Wouldn't a lot sun damage the hair?
omg thank you so much I'm naturally blonde but my hair became dark blonde I'll try the lemon + water in the sun for a few weeks thanks a lot appreciate you work❤
Thank you so much for this video! My natural hair is similar as yours so makes it even more helpful!
Wonderful! Such a detailed video. Thank you for all those efforts, great job.
Really awesome video, thanks for sharing this!
Sunlight catalyzes these oxidation reactions that lighten hair.
Lemon Juice and Sunlight, Chamomile and Sunlight work. but it's more subtle and it takes more applications than Hydrogen Peroxide, but does less than damage to the hair.
Lemon juice and sun light is the key 👌🏼
this deserves more views! really cool video thank youu
Thank you so much 😊
Oh wow I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers! This was great and so helpful!:)
Thank you so much, it's so nice to hear that 😊 Hehe, the beginning on UA-cam channel is not easy 😉
you did an amazing job! this comparison is what I've been wanting for a long time! thank you!!
I'm happy to hear that. Thank you so much ☺️
Such a wonderful and helpful experiment. Definetly going to try the 6% hydrogen peroxide solution. Thank you for the detailed explanation!
Very helpful, thank you🙏🏻💟
Great video, thank you so much 💗
beautiful video, shot with so much detail and care, thank you for this!
Thank you so much for this comment 😊
This morning while I was eating breakfast, I was thinking and talking with my brother (just thinking and talking not searching for, never searched this before) how to lighten my hair by not using bleach for summery look, after breakfast I log on my pc and check UA-cam and this video is on my front page, excuse me what????????
Really good and quality video, gonna be using this! :)
Hahaha that's funny situation 😁 And I hope that my video is useful for you 😊
You saved me time, I was about to purchase big tub of honey and cinnamon until I stumbled on this video. Thank you!
I'm happy I could help. Thank you for your comment ☺️
Wow, clearly a very effort filled video. Thank you so much! SO helpful and exactly what I was looking for
Thank you. I'm so happy to read that ☺️
Chamomile worked for me, but it requires sun! Lemon and chamomile both help the natural lightening sunlight gives, but basically speed up the process. ^^ Also, this video was very sweet and peaceful to watch.
Thank you for your comment 😊 I tried chamomile with the sun and the results are in the new video. To be honest I expected better results. But I'm glad that chamomile works for you.
This was SO helpful, thank you!
I'm glad to hear that 😊
Love this video. Thank you for posting this ❤
Thank you so much for your comment 😊
It was very helpful!!! Thank you
I'm glad I could help 😊 Thank you for your comment 😊
What works for me is using chamomile tea with apple cider vinegar and some lemon juice and sea salt and honey. Just spray it on before going out into the sun. I have to be consistent with it but my hair got pretty light using this!
I’ve found with experimenting a lot that peroxide mixtures does work but ruins my hair.
I’ll do a banana and cinnamon hair mask occasionally, trust me you DO want your hair to smell like cinnamon.
Hi, what is your natural hair color?
@@jean-nee8972 dark brown, with just the sun it naturally has reddish tones but using the spray it made it more blonde
This is a great video..huge thank you for sharing your experiments x
Thank you so much 😊
Literally the video I was looking for since 4 years ago. Thanks!
Oh thank you so much ☺️
good experiment - thanks!
This was a great video. It answered to many questions. Thank you for your commitment to your experiment. ❤
Thank you so much for your comment 😊
Now I can say a review video done right! Awesome work on this video, you deserve many likes. I am subscribing
Thank you so much 😊
I really appreciate the level of science you're applying to hair. There's not a lot of hair science videos like this. My takeaway was I should just stick with bleach 😅
Thank you so much 😊
Haha yeah, if you need to lighten your hair drastically, I think that unfortunately bleach is the only option 😉
Well done! This was very well thought out!
Thank you so much 😊
I would like to try to lemon mixture on my hair, as I am growing out my greys (naturally medium brown) and I think it would help to give more depth and prevent the ‘line of demarcation’
Wonderful video, exactly what I've been looking for
Thank you, I'm glad to hear that ☺️
Thank you for this! I have had some success with a honey/cinnamon/olive oil/water mask, but its definitely subtle, even with letting the mixture "develop" for a few hours before applying it to my hair, and then leaving it in over night. My hair is a natural dark blonde and I like this mask to keep my hair from darkening in the winter in a way that's not super noticeable.
I think I want to try the chamomile/HP mask to see if I prefer it's results.
very cool to learn that beer works!
How helpful and amazing is this video !

@@LoBelia-DIYcosmetics ❤️ you're welcome, I look forward to seeing more from you and wish you all the luck
my preferred method is honey. I mix honey with conditioner and a touch of salt, then leave on overnight. It lights my hair significantly and uniformly. If i want to have highlights as well, I add a bit of honey to the mix, but i prefer the uniform look
Hello how much honey would u use for your hair
@@magalieroulot12 i have a lot of hair right now, but back when i had a bob, i would use about 2 or more big spoons. You need a lot of honey
So it looks like the honey is working, but it needs more time. Also, the mixture with the conditioner is probably easier to wash off and not that messy. Thank you for sharing.
@@LoBelia-DIYcosmetics likewise, thank you for the video. Yes, it's easier with the conditioner, but i also put it on wet hair, not dry. It can take multiple tries, and sometimes it works better sometimes not so much, depending on the honey itself. The thing is that honey has a bit of hydrogen peroxide in it naturally
@@lalayastill610oh cool, I didn't know that about the honey!
So helpful and interesting! Thanks

Hydrogen peroxide works great for me too!

Good video the first to actually keep going a lot of ppl give up after a few shades

for how long did you leave it ?
Thank you SO much!
Superb job !
May I ask you to describe in detail your method of applying 6% hydrogen peroxide?
Spray ? Final rinse ? Do you leave it in for a certain amount of time ? Does this method require sun exposure?
Thanks !!! ❤
Omg thanks for doing this experiment it helps a lot
I'm glad it helped 😊 Thank you for your comment.
@@LoBelia-DIYcosmetics you welcome 🤗
yes love this is amazing! keep it up💗🌹
Thank you so much 😊
Thank you!! I have very dark hair, and this was very helpful in helping me to choose. I want to lighten my hair because I'm getting gray, and keeping up with the dark is getting harder, harder. This was very informative and put together well.
Thank you so much. I'm glad I could help 😊
Very thorough. I'm looking for natural methods to go with using Henna color. I was going to go with the honey but I'm so glad I've found this in time. I'll do my own strand test first but this will make my own test process much faster.
Thank you so much for your comment 😊 I'm happy that the video was useful for you 😊
What are the proportions for chamomile and hydrogen peroxide? And how long should you leave it on? 🙏🏼
you did a very good job with this
Thank you so much 😊
Sunshine, that's what lightens mine 😃simple.
yessss please more videos
This vid was extremely helpful! I have stopped using any commercial brand products, and switched to making my own natural. But, my beautiful blonde has turned more dirty as I age. I’ve been looking for a way to stay clear of salon bleach. Thanks so much! I’m definitely trying the h2o2!
Thank you so much for your comment 😊 I'm happy the video was helpful 😊
Thank you for making this video very helpful, the hydrogen peroxide was a nice blonde result.
Yes! I like the result after hydrogen as well. Thank you for your comment 😊
This is so great thank you
Glad you like it! Thank you 😊
Thank you for doing this. I’ve always wondered if honey & cinnamon worked.
Me too 😁 Now I know that not really 😉
Thank you for your comment 😊
What I know so far, but never tested, is that camomile tea works when hair is exposed to the sun. It's a very slow and gradual process. I used to mix a bit of peroxide (20 volumes) into a small part of conditioner or hair mascara applying it with the hand, kneading the hair from bottom to middle before sunbathing. Again, it's a slow and gradual process and demands more than a couple of times to feel the results. But it's a good method to lighten the hair safely and make it look more natural. The hair also gets very soflt and shiny with a gorgeous beach look.
When I do the mask and my hair gets lighter,
So when my hair grows,
Will it grow in my original hair color (dark brown) or the lighter shade?
Please help
@@mafazchan6817 It will grow your original colour since the hair hasn't been lightened yet
@@Sam-cr1nu i see🥲🥲 thankss
Could you please tell me what is 20 volumes of peroxide?
@@silmf3613 Oh... That would be its strength/concentration. I believe 10v is 3% concentration of hydrogen peroxide, and 20v is 6% concentration. 20v is the lowest recommended to color/lighten the hair.
Wow thank you very much ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
this was a very valuable video!

I'm trying lemon and hydrogen peroxide
Super interesting!
Thank you 🙂
Phenomenal experiment! I hope you can do more. Can you do tests on hair oils? Which method yields the softest hair? Maybe some people can agree to be your tester?
This has been super interesting, I will definitely try out the hydrogen peroxide and perhaps add chamomile tea. Thanks again!
Thank you for your suggestion. It's a good idea! I have some other tests in my head already but unfortunately with full time job is difficult to manage the time needed for this kind of experiments. I hope it's going to change soon 😊
