Tight editing, a friendly host who is charismatic and endearing, and the best Chinese and Chinese American recipes ever.... this IS the best UA-cam channel!
Her recipes are very well documented with clear directions each step of the way. I have been cooking my way through her channel, and I haven’t made anything yet that I didn’t like or had trouble following. These aren’t totally dumbed down like a lot of westernized recipes, and they use ingredients easy enough to acquire if you live in a diverse area or don’t mind ordering via the internet. I also love Steph and Chris from Chinese Cooking Demystified, but they are slavishly authentic, and I can’t always find the ingredients in the US or even order online.
This is not an entree, it is a snack. In the video Mandy said beef jerky, and the texture is chewy. The flavor profile of this of this dish is delicious.
Interesting, I never knew Bayleaf, Cumin, Cinnamon and Cardamom etc. used in Szechuan/Chinese food, I learnt something new. Thank you for an excellent demonstration.
I am glad you like spicy same as me. Today I used your technique when I boiled chicken breast. I add only spring onion and later my house smell very good. Thank for many tips sharing.♥️♥️
I've been dying for a wok and my husband just bought me one! I just discovered your channel and already on my third episode! I love your work! You make it so easy! Thank you for being amazing ☺️
The first thing I do before I watch your videos is to give you a big LIKE, just because I know is going to be another mouth-watering recipe. Thank you for all you do!
I finally made these little beef snacks, and my god they're delicious. Dangerously addictive... Thank you for the recipe-- they actually remind me of a Thai beef jerky called "nuer tod," which I was first served at the restaurant Lers Ros in SF, and that I miss dearly. So this recipe will be very helpful in filling that void! Thank you

I tried this recipe the other night but used sliced sirloin(it was all I had on hand) and it was still excellent. Your channel has some of the best cooking videos on UA-cam.
I love these videos. So easy to watch, such simple yet direct instructions, and at the end of it all, you get to eat awesome food. What's not to like? Please keep it up!!
I LOVE learning so much about Chinese cuisine, and you are very thorough when explaining each and every process. I must say though...I don't like Cumin at all, so ill probably find another smokey, toasty spice to substitute in its place in this recipe. My dislike for Cumin is unfortunate, and is the main reason I don't like most Mexican dishes, as they use Cumin prominently in Mexican cuisine. That being said, I enjoy the complex flavors of Asian foods more than any other cuisine in the world, and your channel is the BEST for learning about each and every dish. Thank you for your hard work!
Thank you again for you lovely recipes. Do you happen to have a recipe for crispy chilli beef? You are brilliant. The soya chicken is a must to impress guests. Whenever I cook it they ask me to forward your link, which I do. Well done!!! Thank you!!! Don't ever stop. I'm sure people will agree with me, you spiced up our kitchens !!
I have cooked a few things from your channel and they were fantastic! You are so clear and explain things so well it helps me understand how to achieve the results I want when I make Chinese food, each dish turns our perfectly and is so tasty. Tanks for taking the time to give us excellent recipes and instructions😋
wow, just made this and you're right, the hard part is the cooling stage lol, its 11pm here now, so will have to wait till tomorrow to try it but a quick taste test and my mount is on fire and all tingly. yummy!
You are my Chinese food goddess uhh my god, you made my life, my dorm mate who was from china and she made this and I was trying to find this dish online never found but I did today after two years, I m so happy, I really love your channel I watch it ever time my fav video is the spicy hot pot. love yaa love yaa love yaaaa
That looks so amazing! I will have to try this next weekend. I'm thinking I can pack it in ziploc bags to have snacks at work as well. Also, I'm with you, bring on the heat with those chillies! Thanks for sharing.
I've watched a number of cooking channels and like yours too! I only have one day off a week when I'm lucky, and thus I can't make everything I want to make! I have a stack of recipe printouts I want to make but time is not with me! I hope to make them all before I die! I haven't yet gotten around to watching all of yours but they do look sooooo good!!! I can't do dairy stuff, but that's not the biggest concern with Asian cooking! Best wishes to you and yours!!! You will hear from me sooner or later when I make one of your recipes! Take care and thanks for the recipes!!!!
When in comes to Chinese food how to vids You got game girl! I'm a new subscriber and you have quickly become one of my favorite UA-cam go tos. Keep the food coming, well done.
Thank you2.. I love your video..the way you explain the details n recipe is very good.. I ve try follow some of your recipes, n it turn very delicious.. Kudos n thank you..
Going to try making this, seems like a very good idea. fyi tsao guo is not actually the same as black cardamon, it is more peppery and smokey and both the husk and the seeds are much larger and tougher.
If you're not sweating you're not eating IMHO :D Great looking recipe, can't wait to try it out! Thank you so much for posting your recipes, I have tried several with great success! Hello and Cheers from Bay Area, California.
I usually make a roast in the oven eat about half of it and save leftover dried roast, that sat in the fridge, for something else the next day, like chop up the beef for some taco thing or stews. I can easily use the roast to make this.
I swear this is one of the best UA-cam channels
Tight editing, a friendly host who is charismatic and endearing, and the best Chinese and Chinese American recipes ever.... this IS the best UA-cam channel!
Right?! She deserves more subscribers.
Ruvin Eric Perez that’ll come in time no doubt, there’s room to commercialise her content with products books and stuff here.
@Tee Vee I have tried a dozen of her recipes. And they turned out better than any restaurant. If she can teach ME, she's a pro...credentials or not.

You're really good at explaining everything. I love your channel and everything about how you cook.
She really is. She could be a teacher. I mean, she kind of is but you know what I mean. In person.
This is not an entree, it is a snack. In the video Mandy said beef jerky, and the texture is chewy. The flavor profile of this of this dish is delicious.

I have watched her cook for hours on end!! I LOVE this site. My favorite part is when she starts and the way she says Souped up Recipes! ❤️

I just wanted to thank you for helping me continue to expand my culinary horizons and overall cooking skill
I tried this (with some slight changes to ingredients) a few weeks ago and it was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to do it again.

That is ok. You can skip the cumin in this recipe. It will taste a bit different but it should still be delicious.
I love the idea of a "beef snack". Thank you for showing us how this is done 😋
