if you constantly wait for your child to be napping to get things done, you’ll never get anything done. you have to learn how to incorporate him into things.. i would work out and my son would try to copy me, cleaning my son had a kids broom or id give him a cloth and he’d pretend to wipe things down too. or sometimes he’d just go to his toys and play by himself. and now, my son is 9 and is always asking if he can help with everything, he does his laundry, washes his dishes and helps load the dishwasher, always wants to vacuum.
you seem very frustrated with Kaden. it’s all a learning process for him. he doesn’t know any better. it’ll get better girl, hang in there.

becoming a mother at any age is hard and frustrating. it’s a learning process for mom dad and baby.

Getting outside for a walk with kaden or going to a park would really help anxiety and overall mood. You mentioned that you’re home about everyday. I’d be so depressed. I personally have to get out for a little or else I feel blue. Even when my kids were babies.
I don’t have any kids but I’m the same way! Sometimes being inside too much can just bring me down... a walk outside is always good even if it’s just around the neighbourhood...
Yes, we go for a walk everyday we can just to get out. Luckily we live in a quiet little neighborhood we feel safe, but we get out for both us. We need it!

I feel like Kaden gets frustrated because he can't communicate. He's constantly grunting and moving his hands. Maybe ask his doctor for easier ways to communicate with him. GB you sweet baby boy.

yes baby sign language is great for all kids at that age. I used for my son who had a speech delay but also my daughters who did not. its a great tool for them to use until they have more words.
I used baby sign language with my daughter and omg what a relief because she was less frustrated and so was I 😅
Agree with the ASL. I did it with my baby boy starting at 6 months old. It was really helpful. Now he can communicate at 19 months old.
It’s hard but its all about repetition.
Agreed my 8 yr old wasnt taught it but my now 3 yr old was taught it at 6 months at daycare and it helped so much especially at dinner she would tell us all done or more ect.
Hes a toddler. Hes going to play with the trash. Try not to get too frustrated. Try giving him tupperware to open & close an other things he can do in place of that. "The trash can is for trash, but here's tupperware. Try these." Model what he can do. For every undesired behavior replace it with a desired one so he isn't stuck wondering what he can do ♡

I went to school for developmental service work and arm flaring is an early sign of autism. I would consult your family physician regarding this as it can eliminate frustration the baby might feel as communication is lacking. Also I know you like to use scents around the home but I would try and avoid using any essential oils or freahners as they are linked to wide spectrums of autism. Just a fyi, you don't have to take my advice though just trying to help and keep you informed.

Every video Meg has posted with Kaden in it he does the arm flapping particularly when he is eating. He also seems to tremor and jerk at times and look very anxious and concerned when Anthony enters the room and speaks with Meg. I noticed Meg actually acknowledges the flapping by giving him more food. For some reason I find this so unattractive. I also think he may be showing early signs of some sort of disorder. His grunting and whining for food with the flapping seems off to me also AltouaUnrated
@@anniemahrdt9246 yes its very concerning. At the end of the day it is her child but I would recommend she speak to a physician regarding everything. He is 1 now and should be showing more developmental signs so its concerning when the arm flaring and jerking are being replaced by actions and words. This isn't a simple example of a child being lazy to communicate its an example of the child showing frustration due to not being able to communicate.

I don’t know how you do it meg. I am a full time registered nurse and a mom of a toddler. I always think I’d love to be a stay at home mom or work from home but then when I get stretches of days off or holiday time off I’m utterly exhausted. Almost worse than when I’m working. It’s not easy!! You’re doing great!
Hey Meg! I think Kaden is at a stage where he will start to not love the things he used to. It’s just a part of the toddler life and less to do with teeth coming in. One day they love a food and the next they won’t touch it. I just kind of got over this stage with my daughter who is 1 1/2. Just roll with it and as long as he’s hydrated, he will be fine! 💕
Yes this my 3 yr old will be a great eater and then not be interested which is complete opposite of my 8 yr old

I use to have a pretend trash bin 😂😂 I'd put clean 'rubbish' in it, my kids thought they had outsmarted me and were so clever 😂

As much as we'd love to see that, we have to understand that mommy brain is just that. Mommy brain. 100% of thought process becomes way less about us after motherhood.

I saw NOTHING wrong with how she got after Kaden for getting in the trash, he probably does it over and over and over and over, by her telling him no at a young age it’ll process and he will eventually learn what no means . Megan, your doing GREAT

my toddler started playing with the trash around the time she started walking we eventually now keep our trash can in the closet it helps! under the kitchen sink is a good spot for it too if that works in your household

The porch looks great! The colors and style are so perfect together. I don’t have kids but nosy pets and I got this bin from the Container Store that has a child/pet proof lock to keep them being able to easily get into it. I use it as a laundry bin but it’s marketed as a trash bin. You might consider switching to something like that until he’s older so it’s a bit less stressful.

I went to college for early childhood development/elementary teaching and a really important part of Kaden's development is to learn how to do things by himself. If you constantly are showing him that momma will do this for you, he learns that "Kaden cannot do anything." Just a thought 😊

Hi Meg! I’m an orthopedic nurse and I just wondered if you’ve thought about or have been told you can have surgery for your shoulder? It might help a lot if you’ve already exhausted all other treatment options.
Don’t take this the wrong way but even before u had a baby u struggled to get content out I feel u can manage ur time better there’s moms that can’t work from home this just my opinion please don’t take this the wrong way
She struggles with depression and anxiety. Time management doesn't fix that. At least she is more motivated now and trying. Maybe if people were more positive being a upriver wouldn't be so difficult.

Hey Meg, I have a 14 month old and I can completely relate to the fussiness with food and the clinginess you mentioned in a previous video! My daughter is going through a leap so is very cranky and she is usually such a good eater but lately she just hasn’t wanted much of her food. She also LOVES the trash and is always trying to open it and pull things out 🙄 Kayden could be a going through a developmental leap! We’ve also recently transitioned to one nap a day which was quite a challenge. Most comments criticising you are probably people who don’t even have children but I think you are doing an amazing job and trying to keep a toddler entertained all day long as well as doing jobs and things for yourself is hard! 💗💕

The b box weighted straw cups and munchkin 360 cups with handles were my daughter and nieces favorites at that age. The b box ones are nice because the straw moves with the cup and is weighted so they can drink at any angle.
I had to pause the video to go and order those nike sandals in white for my son! Lol So cute he turns 1 this summer so I was a little obsessed with those. By the way I don't know if you've heard of BinkyBro but they have really cute hats, Kaden would look so cute in!
Our favorite straw cup is the Lollaland! They are super cute and my boys love them! Super easy to clean and can be used for any drink! Highly recommend them :) and they last forever

You should try sign language with Kaden- may help him a lot with communication, and curb some frustrations.
I would definitely take advantage of early intervention-it’s available I think in every state but not well known a lot of the time. If you ask your pediatrician they can have someone evaluate and offer suggestions for speech or any delays- please don’t come at me!....All kids develop at their own pace- but sometimes frustration turns into bad behavior when they are trying so hard to communicate and there are options to make it easier on parents and baby and make sure there aren’t any long term issues. I know from experience, just trying to offer a friendly suggestion.

How are your adjusting to toddler life? I used to really enjoy your content and I still do, but sometimes I can feel your anxiety through the screen and it really stresses me out. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m pregnant and I’m nervous to become a first time mom especially when I see how stressful it is for you. Do you have any tips for managing anxiety? During pregnancy and into motherhood? Are you enjoying motherhood? I feel like I have watched you for sooo long, hoping and praying for a family - but now that you’re here I can’t help but notice you are ver high strung and anxious. I try not to let it stress me out, but it does! Especially because we have similar personalities. any tips?
Toddler life is very difficult. It is very fun and rewarding but it is difficult. I feel not enough people show the raw and real side of parenting like Meg does. It's not all rainbows and butterflies and those who act like it are on social media are doing just that.. acting. momma to a 19 month old girl. she is my absolute pride and joy I love her like no other but does she ever push my buttons haha. don't let it stress you out. you will figure it out- we learn as we go.

Hey Meg! I used to try CBD and it didn’t help much for my anxiety. I now use Kratom capsules and it makes a world of difference for my anxiety and productivity. Bumble Bee Hello Vietnam is my favorite 😍

Kratom is 1.Banned in the U.S. 2.Has Opioid properties with “stimulant effects” and 3. In 2019 the FDA states that “there is no evidence that kratom is safe or effective for treating any condition.” . PLEASE do your research beforehand.

@@lexiibooh100 False, it's not banned in all of America. It does not have opioids in it at all. Your body reacts to it like it does with opioids but it is not opioids whatsoever. I've been on it for over ten years. It's saved my life, from alcohol and drugs. Some people are so against it because they feel like people shouldn't be dependent on anything. So it is controversial. Everyone has their opinions but people should do what's best for them.

People are allowed to comment on what they are shown. The parents decide what they want to show the internet so it is what it is. Don't show kids on UA-cam if it's a problem

I don't agree with family vloggers at all but I've watched her for years so I continue to do so. But she is putting him out there for people to do that so it is on her. She can prevent that and just vlog her life and not her son. You can tell she is very money hungry lately. She hasn't responded to comments in years and now all of a sudden she is.
