    Thank you!!!!!! I just got this machine yesterday. No manual and I thought this was the problem but wasn't sure. Thus worked like a charm!!!

      It comes with a small piece of paper with a QR code. Here is the link to the manual.

    Have you ever tried to replace the tiny spring in the safety clutch? Is there a video of that?

    Is it normal for the button to be higher than the sewing machine base? Mine is pops out almost 1/4 inch.

    My front of the REACH1541 has 4 different tension wheels I'm a bit unsure of how to thread it properly. Thankyou.

    I've got a question. I am about to buy a dnu however, I am now torn between the standard or the S version. I heard a juki seller mention that he sometimes wont recommended the S over the standard 1541 for the mere fact that at times the switch will disengage simply because of the thickness or amount of layers of thicker leather. Is the S version worth getting or will the standard be just fine? I work with leather and the S version is initially my choice but I am not sure now only because he said sometimes the switch tends to go off without really even being jammed. Opinions? Your knowledge will certainly help.

      That is true. It is sometimes sensitive. It is a trade off unfortunately. The non S version can be knocked out of time easier, but it is rare. We make some adjustments to the S versions we sell to make them less sensitive.

      Steve, how can u make adjustments at home to make the safety not so sensitive?

      Old comment but was interested in this machine in my European country, talked to my countries Juki dealer and they said that the S version is not available in our market at all, didn't ask why but this might be the reason.

    Do I have to unthread the machine and take the bobbin out before re-engaging the safety clutch

    • @Sewinggold
      @Sewinggold  3 роки тому

      To be safe, yes. It is not a bad idea. Especially from the needle.

    Is this what happens when you wind bobbin and machine still threaded? My top thread will not pick up bobbin after I made a new bobbin. I am very new to this machine.

    • @Sewinggold
      @Sewinggold  4 роки тому

      It could. The thread gets stuck in the hook and trips the safety clutch. Remove the thread from thee hook first, then re-engage the safety clutch.

    Steve, help! I have followed the instructions but after my finger depresses the button I am not able to further turn wheel backwards. Instead, the buttonI makes that popping sound and when I turn the wheel towards me it only goes a little bit and then locks. I removed the needle but it still won’t go

      I have this same problem too. I have only had this machine 2 weeks and had to bring it in once and now I have had to engage the clutch again.

    What happens if my machine doesn’t have the button that you just pressed? Juki DNU1541 (maybe older?)

    • @Sewinggold

      Unfortunately the DNU-1541 does not have a safety clutch.

      You may have a thread or needle stuck in the hook. Watch this to fix that.
