Just stumbled upon your channel. How r u doing man? My GF that im with for a year now has a sweet staffordshire terreir with sharpei. Learning more and more about how to make him happy and safe. Thanks for your videos and interesting politics.
Have you figured out where the name change came from? I mean, we _are_ talking about free-market capitalism here, right? It seems to me that there's a re-branding effort taking place in the academic work that's just trying to appeal to the 'anti-liberal' bias. Funny if you think about the affect of this. No, not funny- but ironic. Academics do tend to intentionally inflate their arguments by burying them in long-winded jargon, which makes the content ripe for cherry-picked selective reading by talking point farmers. Statistics are even more heavily abused. At this point, in most political/economic discussions, it seems that we can end up talking around other people when we are only trying to express a simple point. I love this stuff too, but it has become so inextricably linked to our stupid Trump vs Hillary dichotomy that you can't have a decent conversation about any of it without each sentence having a 14-point preface to buffer you against being labeled as an extremist of some variety. I get really sick of having to explain things that I would like to believe were either implicit or self-apparent. Oh yeah, the irony: wasn't the traditional intent of scholastic pursuit to gain understanding? Now it seems to obfuscate more than clarify. Not to say that political economy isn't the most complex game that we try to understand, but it sure doesn't help that even simple ideas end up having five different names. Especially when the less well-read among us will apply incompatible beliefs/definitions to each of them. I'm only 7.5 minutes in. I'll finish the rest of the video later, and make a more appropriate reply. I have shit to do. By the way, congratulations on appearing in an idubbz video. I just hope you don't become a meme over dog balls. This content deserves better than that. Then again, no UA-cam attention is bad attention. Or rather, it's _all_ bad attention.
i feel a ted x talk coming, you are awesome, and definitely the smartest man in the room. i always learn something new, so thank you!
