Steve Lav has knowledge, but his dog and frank talk in front of customers is total freedom. My mom is from Massachusetts and before she would swear ,she would say excuse my French. Wonder if she knew Steve
In my experience, I try not to push the thrash back through the coil, I will move the rinse water opposite of the air flow, (from the fan side out through the condenser). Really like your videos, and thanks for doing what you do.
I should also add that my tech is a genius. I call him "the guru." I know I am getting great training. I don't know you personally, but I consider you my "American Guru." Keep up the good work.
Good job Nor Cal.. Thorough..!!!, I do the same,, repair a Job back to a good condition.. not just wham bam thank you mam, patch up like crap and run like some do..
How do like the refrigeration field better than heating/AC ? I’m on residential heating and ac company now but I’m getting an offer from a company with refrigeration position. It’s a union company but I’m not sure yet. Any hits will be well appreciated
What is your thought on condenser filter media for kitchen reach in coolers and freezers? If they are regularly washed or changed, my feeling is it is worth the slight restriction and higher head pressure, especially in units that are near fryers or grills. New subscriber. been in F&B operations for 30+ yrs, not an a/c tech by trade, but I have some mechanical chops and recently started studying more about electrical theory and troubleshooting.
I'm a first year refrigeration apprentice in Canada. I did an evap motor replace just like this last week. Tech diagnosed, I returned on my own to replace the motor. Customer was watching me like a hawk. Over my shoulder constantly. Any advice with how to deal with this type?
I think to a certain degree you have to get used to it.. .some customers are like that... you work on their stuff and they pay for it...maybe some have bad experience with techs in the past
Apprentice Phil, been doing it since 1984, if a customer is behind you, turn around and move like you have to go to your van, nicely say your in my way.. I need room to work and concentrate...
Hey NorCal, please tell us where you got that sprayer. Im not real familiar with UA-cam but I found a guy named Steve Lavimoniere that does Plumbing & HVAC, is this the guy? Thanks.
Ok, thanks. In case I cant find the info on Steves page, what brand and model sprayer is that? Im in the Midwest and we are getting close to condenser washing season.
What's your cost on the 9W packard fan? Had to do the exact same one recently to help out someone and the guy charged me 80$ for it. I guess it's the price of small town living.
They work good when you can't run a stat wire. I have one on the roof of 2 story building and it works fine. This one here is 8 years old and last night it no longer will communicate. I will be replacing it with a new one. Same model.

Nice work brudda. Enjoy watching your videos when sitting on the BQE here in New York City waiting 2 hours to get to the next job. lol
That's brutal traffic. Damn.
By the time we die a 1/3 of our life will be spent on the BQE.
It's great seeing good work rewarded with more jobs and opportunity. Thanks for the video.
Love seeing this stuff. I want to get out of residential AC and into this type of work someday. Getting tired of spring and fall slowdowns.
The trick is to do both.
Great video, Dave. Thanks for posting.
One of your better videos thank you for posting I enjoyed it very much
Good work. I'm sure Steven is proud.
Even the usual kitchen music to boot too! :) Multiple offendeeerrr haha! Steve Lav hose nozzle nice.

Jonny Cat I do sometimes but they clean up with hose ok. To lazy to take the motor out. Lol.
No need for fan removal, I don't want you to think I'm ball busting, simply reviewing my procedures. You are a BAD ASS>
Jonny Cat it's ok I've been at it since 1987, my balls need busting I get lazy sometimes in honest about it.
fixing uints + finding lots of follow up work= THE MAN.
Thanks temp dude!
She's a leakaaaa mama, she's a leakaa....ha ha ha...
Good job Dave.
I should also add that my tech is a genius. I call him "the guru." I know I am getting great training. I don't know you personally, but I consider you my "American Guru." Keep up the good work.

That spray nozzle rules!!!! Great tool.
good work.
Pluggo buggo!
Great work !!!
Thanks Harry
badass work music
What's the reason you choose the refrigeration service instead of heating or A/C service?
I will have to get a super spray like steve lav, i looks like its good for giving the ol gundee!!!!!
Do you like the hd cans of foaming coil cleaner on those nasty coils?
sean peterson I use them on small coils. Works ok I rinse them out also.
great job
it's kinda sucks that the condenser is next to the kitchen exhaust, it probably getting all the grease stuck in the condenser fins
How do like the refrigeration field better than heating/AC ?
I’m on residential heating and ac company now but I’m getting an offer from a company with refrigeration position. It’s a union company but I’m not sure yet.
Any hits will be well appreciated
Hvac_jc I’m huge union fan worked 10 years local 104 wages and benefits are untouchable especially if you have a family
Nor-Cal Refrigeration & H.V.A.C any hints ?
Do you like more refrigeration or heating and ac ?

david johnson as long as the get replaced regularly there great.
I'm a first year refrigeration apprentice in Canada. I did an evap motor replace just like this last week. Tech diagnosed, I returned on my own to replace the motor. Customer was watching me like a hawk. Over my shoulder constantly. Any advice with how to deal with this type?

Yes. We love the lurkers! Engage them in conversation, your # 1 job is customer service.

Thanks Brofessor!
Bom dia qual a marca desse spray de limpeza por favor des de já muito obrigado
Who makes that spray wand with the nearly 90° tip?
What's your cost on the 9W packard fan? Had to do the exact same one recently to help out someone and the guy charged me 80$ for it. I guess it's the price of small town living.
That's a fair price.
another great job the way it's supposed to be done 👍 what brand of condenser coil cleaner you use ?
I use the Home Depot can 5$ stuff.
I don't like it when they do that because I can't authorize more repairs without a phone call.
If you keep having issue with that thermostat can you access the duct penetrations inside and mount the box on the ducts? May help with signal
I can move it, i think it's been there for 8 or more years. 1 st hick up for this one.
What’s something like this running the customer &?
$?
do you ever use a hose to wash out the coils? seams like more pressure would work better?
I do on bigger units. Not so much on the small ones. To shop vac a kitchen floor just before 5 pm is not going to happen. That's a 6 a.m. Job.
what are you using to film? great quality video
iPhone 6s. Film edit upload all from the phone.
You think those filters were dirty?!? Come with me here in Stockton, I'll show you dirty😷
Nice fix bro how you been lately I haven't been around the UA-cam seen for a while
HC nice to here from you. What's up bro?
Nothing much bro been busy down here in smog land doing all kinds of different things
did you get that sprayer at home depot? because thats a can of coil cleaner is a home depot special, I recognize the colors
The sprayer I got from Amazon. And yes the coil cleaner 5$ Home Depot all the way!!!!
The Steve Lav Super Soaker!! Hah!!
That Evap was pretty dirty. geez
Aren't they all Multiple Offenders?
just like a bakery condenser-impossible to clean
I know I am late but the customer must not want to pay for P.M.'s regularly? Them coils were beyond dirty sheesh
bblazeff1 yep all over town.
What do you think about those Honeywell wireless stats?
They work good when you can't run a stat wire. I have one on the roof of 2 story building and it works fine. This one here is 8 years old and last night it no longer will communicate. I will be replacing it with a new one. Same model.
Good to know!👍
Looks like never be cleaned
