Thank you for featuring the LN Dovetail Vise. I'm currently weighing the pros and cons of getting this vise and your video has been helpful. I've been lucky enough to have visited the Lie-Nielsen shop in Maine twice now. It's a great place, with a sort of magical quality to it. I enjoy your videos - keep 'em coming.
Every single item I've ever bought from LN has been top drawer. This looks like a very good way to solve the back problems that come from bending over a vise to cut dovetails.
Have you thought about drilling holes in the end wings (where the clamps hold it to the bench) so that you could put long bolts through to attach to the bench (through the dog holes or through newly drilled, dedicated holes?) It would allow you to use the end section of the vise without having the clamps in the way. Just a thought. Thanks for showing us your new vise (or should I say "vice?" Hehe!)

Can,t wait to see how it works out. Nice
That is an excellent idea and I will try that. Hopefully the dog hole spacing will work.
