Piano Sonata No. 8 in C Minor, Op 13. "Pathetique": II. Adagio cantabile

To me, this is one of the most beautiful #classical #piano pieces, and it's been both a joy and a challenge to learn to the level I felt comfortable sharing with the rest of the world. This piece requires a special sensitivity and nuance to melody and accompaniment in order to get just right. There are portions where just about every pianist has a slightly different interpretation (which is wonderful to see all the variation out there). I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed recording it.
(I suppose I've done a half decent job since the automatic copyright claim algorithms have decided that my performance is similar to other recordings. I guess I'll take that as a compliment? That said, rest assured that the recording is my own. I'd link to a SoundCloud version typically, but I've had to dispute the claim there -- tied to a different performer no less -- to reinstate the track.)

Beautiful piece Kerri.
I have been haunted by this piano sonata this year, Schubert Piano Sonata in G. Major D. 894 performed by Marta Deyanova. There are a number of versions of it but this one is slower. If I see you again, I'll explain why it has haunted me.
I'm a shallow classical music fan but some of the sonatas are so moving.
