I’ve had a transplant for 2 years and recently SMP. For me they both work well together, but only when shaved OR grown out for a couple months, as some of my native hair is still slightly thinner in areas.. so it still looks patchy in the growing out stage. Also, SMP doesn’t fully cover hide scars on both the donor area and the recipient area - never knew this happened, but my recipient area ie the skin around my hairline now has a thicker rougher texture. Probably not noticeable to others, but still something I have to live with. I can still have long hair now so that’s great but i reckon some point in the future i’ll slightly regret the transplant if i want to rock the bald look permanently. Thought you might be interested!
Shaved mine bald. While I think hair looks a little bit better, it hasnt affected my life. I still have mates, matches on dating apps, and dating women still. It hasnt harmed my life like I thought it would
If you have beard.. good facials.. nose/eyes. etc.. and tall? + Rich or have money? trust me hair doesn't matter... but the problem if you don't have all that. Hair is huge difference to your confident.
I'm not rich or high status - I'm a teacher, so my salary isnt great. And like I said, I'm also bald. I can still date women and get matches online. This myth that you must be super hot or rich incel talk@@zorashki
@@zorashkiDo you think hair can compensate that you are short, have a weird nose or eyes and be poor? If you are ugly bald you was probably ugly bevore.
Do you use zero shine lotion when you go out, I got SMP done here in NYC at one of the best places and it came out great, but Ofcourse like most SMP, the light or sun can make it shiny. So I have to use zero shine when I go out, just wondering if you wear it or are wearing it in your videos, yours looks awesome too
Had mine done with terry also 2 years ago now and booking in for a top up soon. Best thing i ever did! Agree though about the 3 day mark i shave it as the sides start to grow through, shaving rash i get a bit on the neck as im shaving so much with the foil razor. Also i have a shiny head but i wouldnt change my decision. Anyone thinking about it go for it🤗
Would you ever consider making a video of what it looks like when ur hair is grown out? It seems like that’s smp most talked about main downside but it’s rarely shown
Hey fellas. 37 and bald here. Been shaving my head since 32 years old. Recently been looking into smp. I think it looks great in this video. My two questions would be: are products effective at managing the head shine effect I already have? I will try a couple products now before possibly doing smp to see if they work. I don’t think I’d like a shiny buzz cut look. It looks a bit odd on the sports announcer Kenny Smith, for reference. Second: if I opted to only smp for a few years what would happen if I didn’t get a touch up and just went back to classic bald? Would it look strange permanently or just fade away completely? Thanks!
There are loads of different moisturisers you can use that can defect shine so that’s not a worry. I’d recommend a top up every 5 or 6 years but if you didn’t top it up it doesn’t completely disappear not as far as i know anyway
Cheers for replying, are you still as happy with it as you were the day you gotbit done . I've been considering this since around 2018 . But more than ever at the moment.
Which foil shaver are you currently using? I saw you showed something in the previous videos, but I think you never mentioned the name of the product (sorry if I’m wrong)
Hey....iv considered it , looked into it as videos and pics look so good. So i went to a reputable SMP clinc in West Mids, Birmingham- BW is there intial. The Owner, whos had SMP came to great me, and to be honest it totally put me off. It blanently looked like a blue green tattoo, with large dots, i was shocked and to be honest i was gutted as i thought it was something that would suit me as i dont want a hair transplant , just a buzz cut look. Always wondered why you dont see more guys with this procedure if it looks natural. I guess it does under certain light conditions.
This technician and company are supposed to be one of the leading practioners of SMP in the UK. BW is the companys intials ....practioner Simon. I guess i need to see some other people who have had it done to compare results. Where did you get yours done?
Bro I got a shaving device called babyliss pro fx3 it literally shaves my head completely in max 3/4 minutes i got smp aswell i got to say it looks good on me i look like some puerto rican gangster and it totally improved my looks i use to look 10 years older While you do look good too with the smp i do understand why you would get a hairtransplant you can’t beat having real hair grow out your head , i wish i could a hair transplant would do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately i’m not eligible I don’t have enough donor hair back in my head and i’m norwood7 in scale of male patern baldness. Unless they bring out cloning tech I can’t get a hair transplant. My advice is if you really want one do it nowadays it’s super cheap in turkey and they do a fantastic job
Might give that one a go mate, sounds like it shaves a treat. And yeah I’m not that bothered but I can definitely see the appeal, they want me to grow my hair out to confirm whether I’m eligible or not and that’s something o don’t really want to do 😂 but maybe one day for sure!
Seems kind of contradicting what you’re saying Josh. I think you’re just not happy, which we all go through at some point in time. I’d say do your own diligence before getting an SMP, I’ve watched many videos about it and have decided to book appointments with a consultant. Stay positive, mate.
I think 95% of smp looks fake. I'm balding and I no longer care. Too much pressure on blokes in the modern world to look "good". I'll get my teeth fixed, gyno surgery and a bald scar on my chin fixed, cause no hair grows there. But hair no, I don't think I'll bother.
Got my SMP six months ago. Best decision I ever made. Zero shine 2.0 is my favorite product. I buzz my head first thing every morning. My only regret is that I didn’t do earlier! @tourguideadam
Yeah I don’t believe the SMP itself stops shine, that’s entirely dependent on the skin and whether you use certain moisturiser products. But glad you don’t regret it bro

I got this done about 8 years ago. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
How is your SMP in different lightings regarding shine? Do you use anything to dull the shine or is it not affected
I have natural full hair but even I can say OFC there is shine you're almost bald lol no hate to people in this situation

How long have you had your SMP now ?
Are you making any more videos of it close up in good light.
