How Frostcraft broke the Great Sword META | MHR Sunbreak

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak's Title Update 4 introduced 2 new monsters: Velkhana and Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax, who come with their own unique armor skills. In this video we'll take a look at how this update affects the Great Sword specifically. Our main focus will of course be the new Frostcraft skill, which is pretty broken. If you want to really draw out the full power of a status GS like Scorned Magnamalo's, augment for Buildup Boost. It'll make roughly every third hit even stronger. I did it, and it's nuts when you have Frostcraft, since it's also a percentage increase on your raw damage.

Thank you for this! I had a build with bloodlust and dereliction. While it did a lot of damage, it was also getting me killed. I followed your build and rolled MoH via QC, I only lost a lil bit of damage compared to my previous build.

Because elemental GS doesnt get the attack bonus from adding slots.

No slots, low affinity, and the biggest factor: needs at least level 4 handicraft to get the bare minimum of 20 purple sharpness. You need to have good charms and augs to make a decent build for it.
