The blessing is beautiful and may you be blessed with happiness and good health in 2025! I love playing for our Epiphany service at church. Shine His light!
I was told chickens not liking snow is instinct because they are wary of predators grabbing them if they got stuck . Our run is fully covered so they do come out . The only way I can get them to come out of the run is by throwing straw on the ground 😂 but they seem to like staying in the run any way. I am definitely trying your bagel recipe they look so good . The chalking of the door was so nice , I grew up Catholic and never heard of it .
I have to tell you Joan, that your channel is my absolute favorite. I always look forward to new ones from you, and I'm always learning something. During your video's where you say, "I didn't film that because you've seen me make _______ a million times" I'm saying out loud, no show us again 😀 Because I do pick up different techniques, helpful hints, etc that helps me. When you made the bread recipe from the back of the Costco organic flour bag, and you said you use 1050 g of the dough for your 13" pullman pan and that left enough dough to make 10 dinner rolls I got right on that . I hadn't used my pullman pan in awhile and went and checked , luckily mine was also a 13" so I made the dough, weighed out 1050 g and made a great loaf of bread and had a bonus of 10 dinner rolls. We had a couple rolls for dinner and I put the rest in the freezer to be able to pull out on nights my husband wanted dinner rolls. Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to let you know just how much this subscriber appreciates the time and effort you put into your channel. I have two questions on today's video. Did you like the new ranch recipe better than your other one, and the same question for this new pullman pan recipe, did you like this recipe better than the recipe on the back of the Costco flour bag? ❤
First of all, thank you so much for the kind words - you have no idea how much that means to me. I did not like this recipe as much as the Costco one. I will stick to that one for a while until I test others! And yes, LOVED this ranch recipe. I need to convert it to make a big dry batch so I don't have to do the spices each time. Once I figure it out, I will put it on the website. Here is the one I used:natashaskitchen.com/homemade-ranch-dressing/?
Thank you for the ranch recipe link, I will sure give it a try. I kept meaning to go back to the video on the crock pot Christmas candy . I had commented on it I had made that one before, and this year I was trying a new recipe that had peanut butter chips in it. You asked me to let you know how we liked it. It was ok, but I won't make it again, the original recipes for it was better.
@RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead it really is I am Catholic and I have always waited Till after the 6th to take down my decorations in honor of the 3 Wiseman, but I have never heard of the chalking of the door and I'm old 😅 But I Love it
@RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead some of my friends have eggs that have a yolk no white and dried up. Another friend hers were black and smelly. The chickens were old though
Here it is. I liked it, didn't love it. I will keep searching for the perfect one! hopewellheightsblog.com/easy-pullman-loaf-recipe-pain-de-mie-sandwich-bread/
@ Thanks Joan, I made it today and its very good. Question, do you slice all of it and store that way or do you slice as you need it? It’s only two of us. So afraid it will go bad before we used it so have you frozen any? If so in a chunk or by slice. Sorry for so many questions. Joyce
Great video. I couldn’t find the one hour easy bagel recipe on your website. Can you please point me in the right direction? Lunch looks really good. Ok I searched just easy bagels on the website or is it bagels updated, the recipe from a Bizzy Kitchen?

Chickens are just crazy!!!
We also blessed our doorway. Planning on taking down our decorations next week after the 12th for the Baptism of the Lord.
I would like to keep them up, but I like them down by Doug’s bday.
Great snow day!😊
Thanks!

Ops I showed my doors today on my video! That’s some awesome snow!!⛄️
We had snow, it was pretty, bring on the summer - lol!! I don't know how you guys do it with all you get!
The blessing is beautiful and may you be blessed with happiness and good health in 2025!
Thank you! We wish the same for you!
I’m so jealous of the snow! Thank you for sharing the blessing. Is the prayer the same every year?
There are different versions, but yes, mostly the same
Snow Days always felt like a bonus day here in NC when we received one. You got a lot done with your day.
Oh I bet it’s a like a bonus for you!
Productive snow day, we are to have snow on Thursday in Little Rock ❤
Enjoy it and stay safe
Nice day of baking ❤enjoy your evening
Thanks!
Really enjoyed the chalking of the door, Thank you 😊 🙏
I’m so glad you liked it! It’s a beautiful tradition.

Jealous also!! I want my first retirement snow storm!!!!!
Congratulations on your retirement!!
@ thank you, Joan!! I’m writing that bread recipe down !
We get so much snow here that many of the chickens around here stop laying. Busy day
We are only getting 3 eggs per day. Chickens love the cold, but they need a minimum of 16 hours of daylight to lay, so winter is their natural “break”
@RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead some of my friends have eggs that have a yolk no white and dried up. Another friend hers were black and smelly. The chickens were old though
Could you share the link for the Pullman bread recipe that you made on this video? Looks really good. Thank you.
Here it is. I liked it, didn't love it. I will keep searching for the perfect one!

What would happen if I use a regular loaf pan for the bread instead of the Pullman pan?
I think it would be just fine! This was a specific recipe for the pullman pan, but I think it would be ok in a regular pan!
@ Thanks. My husband doesn’t think the Pullman pan makes bread big enough for a sandwich and two sandwiches are too many. I’ll give it a try.
@@sharronleman5768 I get that!
Is the bread recipe on your website? We got about 7” snow with some ice layer in there.
Here is the recipe:hopewellheightsblog.com/easy-pullman-loaf-recipe-pain-de-mie-sandwich-bread/
We are on a snow watch for more this weekend!

@@RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead Thank you
I have way more mugs than you. Kristy keeps saying she’s going to take one away every time she visits and because I have so many I won’t even notice
🤣🤣🤣🤣. A video popped up today from The Minimal Mom about why you only need 1 mug per person in your home-I did not watch it!
