Some people really do read their opponent from peripherals of seeing them pressing buttons. For example, friend of mine almost always could read when I would wake up button or dp since I played on a loud arcade stick and he was playing next to me on his pad. That stuff is real. Both visual and audio can be used to read opponent when playing side by side.
Unexpected moment for me are Angry Bird and Hikaru. Angry Bird dominant all players like crazy till he meet modern player expert like Tachikawa and having trouble againts it lol. Hikaru bested all players left and right till he meet XiaoHai who more experience and also the longest living FG player, slowly adapting his tactics. Man, what a match

The quality of matches at EWC were by far better than at EVO, the rewards were by far better than at EVO, the whole tournament structure at EWC was better than at EVO. He's veteran KOF player who just stands in Xiaohai way every year at EVO. Xiaohai is literally the last generational player, who is a goat at his own game plus other multiple fighting games. This is what Leffen and Sonic Furry failed at a high level when it came to SF and Tekken, where the competition is a whole lot tougher, and then literally abandoned the game it doesn't go their way. Guys like Daigo, Tokido, Sako, Onuki and Haitani are known as the 5 Japanese God of fighting games. They've been winning another multiple fighting games beside SF, this is what separate the Legends from the rest. Xiaohai is trying to follow this path since his first SF appearance in SF4. He hasn't stopped since until his first break of winning the last season SFL with Mena then winning this tournament on his own.

Bison is pretty much average in SF5 losing his main move psycho crusher which happened to be in VT. I've seen Nemo's Bison, it's pretty good actually compared to most players.
