MELON KALIKIMAKA - MELON BOWL COCKTAIL with MELON SYRUP. Christmas in August? | Bar Talk & Cocktails

- This week I thought I would show you something a little different. Bar Talk and Cocktails is on Patreon. And on Patreon I do a video series called Crafting Cocktails with Bruce. Basically it’s me making up a cocktail on the spot based on suggestions from either my Producers Viv and Aaron or one of my Patrons. A while ago one of my Patrons Henry asked if I could make a Melon Syrup. I’ve never actually made a Melon Syrup so it sounded like fun. It was a pretty simple syrup to make so I thought to myself “Why not take it a step further and make Henry an original drink with said syrup?” (I kind of got a little carried away with the whole melon thing) So we re-edited this Patron only Crafting Cocktails episode to give you a sneak peek of some of what goes on on Patreon. So If you would like to see the full extended version of this episode on Crafting Cocktails and many more extra cocktail videos, give Patreon a look.
To our new viewers and the ones that have been watching for years now, thanks for tuning in!
Cheers!
-Bruce

Thanks Zachary! Keep checking back.
@@BarTalkCocktails For sure. Halloween will be here before you know it. Can't wait to see what you have cooked up.
@@zacharyjames9602 Can’t wait to see what we come up with as well ha. I’d better start giving it some thought.
Very tasty🤤👍 we use melon & lemon Vodka 🍈😀👍 Thanks Bruce!
Vodka: 1/2 Cup. Stawberrys, grapes, pineapple Blende mix to ice sauce.. is that 'Bar Fly' or 'Dump'.. Fly yes , Dump no ..
I have been hooked on Perrier Lime all summer. It just seems to go with everything, simple or complex.
Can’t go wrong that’s for sure.
I love @BarTalk&Cocktails!! WOOOW!!
Thanks!
Really enjoyed seeing you figure out the drink as you went!
Did you have to cut a flat section off the bottom of the cantaloupe to get it to sit on the table without rolling around?
I didn’t need to cut off the bottom. It sat pretty flat on its own.
Love you Bruce you're one of the best on this UA-cam thing!😎
Thank you! Much appreciated.
Love the make it up as you go thing. I recently discovered strawberry mint at the local nursery. Now I have the perfect use for it.
Happy experimenting!
Tequila martini or Jelous Woman: 2 cups Tequila mix sour sweet juice, pineapple, apple, banana, strawberries, blueberries×mix with ice pack to top slush it/ mix 2.a Gin pineapple juice in it with ice slush.. mix together for "Olive"..
Have never seen a cocktail made with cantaloupe before. I tried some straight cantaloupe juice and mixed it with some Kraken rum. It wasn’t terrible but I’m not good at figuring out mixtures and ratios like a professional such as yourself Bruce! Thanks for sharing your expertise! Always look forward to your videos! And you come up with the coolest names for your drinks! Melon Kalikimaka to you and yours also!
Hey thanks! Hope you give it a go, it’s divine.
I figure some nice “funky” rum would work best with cantaloupe, rather than a spiced rum.
Can't wait for the "Countryass" cocktail 😎🤗
So 9 drinks are the limit from world domination
😂
I'll have a big bowl of christmas any time
It’s only four months away!
It needs work to be an "Olive"..
6 or 7 for 2.98 waaaa for me my limes 2 for 2.77 cad :( in australia, u should let the camera person taste some i wanna see their reaction ha
Oh those are some expensive limes! Thanks for tuning in. Cheers
If t'wer mine, I'd call it the Shotgun Wedding - because it can't elope.
Ha that’s a good one! Thanks for tuning in.
Hard, "Open Hand" Fighting, Stylischen-R: Jägermeister Vodka Twisted with Lime and salt .. 1, 2/2 35oz.shot mix with sour Lemon juice, ice ground up to mix, and a peach in 1/2 sauce with ice 1/2 peach serv on side..
Totally making this for the wife, she loves melon! Cheers.
Hope she likes it. I think she will. Cheers
this looks good, but I feel like rum would have been a better choice
Give it a go! Rum would certainly work well.
Bruce, is there a cocktail you don't know how to make?
Oh probably. But I always keep exploring, researching and experimenting. What else do I have to do!? Ha
In before TIm! Sorry could resist! Love Cantaloupe
HA!!! I'm first to leave a comment on your comment!!!
@@TheSpiritoftheCocktail Nope sorry Tim, Bruce was

Are you sure that isn't muskmelon? 😉 Looks delicious, I may try it with a honeydew to see how that works.
Give it a go, it won’t disappoint. Cheers

Thanks Daniel! Keep checking back lots more on the way.
Very creative and satisfying . Serve with a spoon as well so the fruit can be eaten after the cocktail. Cheers

@@BarTalkCocktails 😎
i am gonna make this 1 tomorrow , but i am pretty sure its a Galia Melon not a Canteloupe
Hope you give it a try! I used a cantaloupe here.
I'm sooooo alergic to melons, it ain't funny. But this looks awesome!!!! I'm scared to try this......
aw man that sucks.
I’d have to advise against it then. We need you around to watch my videos and be the first commenter!
