I think Radcliffe meant that Maybot's whole purpose was to infiltrate SHIELD, so the second she's accomplished her mission, he really doesn't have a use for her anymore. The writers just chose to say it in a more robot like fashion with "You weren't meant to last".
Having LMD May be basically a brain dump of May makes this storyline work for me. Because it changes the story from "how does the android deal with pretending to be May" to "how would May deal with being an android".
The whole “does a robot have a soul?” question is very existential but in the MCU Ghost rider showed us humans do in fact have souls, but since those quantum brains were made with knowledge from the Darkhold who knows.
I always have to mention: AOS doesn't drop the ball often, but not bringing back Agent Blake, who was revealed to be the leader of the Watchdogs in S3, & introducing the Superior here, is a huge fumble. Him & the Senator are the weak links to a near perfect season imo ✌😎
I love this season!! Even the filler episodes are entertaining and provide so much context for the rest of the season. I had such torn feelings about Philinda too here…you want them together but NOT LIKE THIS 😭. But the LMD does have the same feelings and desires as May, so we know that his feelings are reciprocated at least :).
