    This is probably one of the best product demonstrations I've ever seen of any product! Well done Mike!

    Looks like a great fully weighted studio controller and stage piano combination.

    Amazing value , lovely sounds all round… the price ,sounds & 88 Keys are worth the price alone….. The Japanese team who built this unit at Casio are blessed indeed… puts the Yamaha Digital Pianos around the same price range to shame !

    There are many electric piano sounds that are available for download for the PX-5S. Search for CasioMusicGear on Soundcloud to hear them.

    Mike, one thing that gets lost in these excellent demos is that you're a heck of a player!

    What is the difference between Casio Privia PX5S and Casio Privia PX5S Pro?

    I thought tremolo was panning back and forth, not volume up and down. Also, I wish they got a better eq on the Rhodes patches.. sounds small and boxy to me. Over all not a back board for the price. I bought the Rd 64 cause it sounded a little more authentic to me.

    Great value and solid sounds, esp welcome on the eps. But the styling? Casio seem to think the circular course of fashion is such that we're ready for our keys to look like some obscure Akai or, indeed, Casio from the 80s.

    Casio is returning gradually to the professional market.
    She has to go slow to replace their products in the market! It would not do anything INTERMEDIARY want to compete with the market as krome or FA6 or higth or end.
    She has to redo his name in professional equipment as it was in the 80s with his synthesizers and samplers famous of the time. This takes time.
    The logical one moment she will come up with intermediate or high end keyboards when they procure their name in the market is consolidated. In Brazil the PX5S been doing so successfully walking missed in some stores.

      +ADRIANKEYMUSIC It's interesting that then,when you wrote your post,you said Casio would not compete with the likes of Korg Or Roland...but here we are,a few months later and Casio is releasing their flagship workstation synth(the PX-560) in October and from what I've seen and heard,the PX-560 surpasses that of the Korg Krome and actually resembles that of the Roland FA-08,in terms of quality!
      Best of all,is that the PX-560,is only $200 more than the PX5S!!

    • @ADRIANKEYMUSIC
      @ADRIANKEYMUSIC 9 років тому +1

      Casio is really outperforming every new release. Actually he entered the professional market to stay and compete ..
      I hope this new product will with good price here in Brazil. Korg and Roland are still very expensive.

      +Philo Beddoe The PX-5s is a nice stage piano, but the PX-560 can't match either the Roland FA-08 or Yamaha MOXF8 in terms of sound engine, number of tones or build quality. Doesn't mean it's not good, but perhaps it's time to stop posting that it's a better workstation than the MOXF8 or FA-08.

      They were never in the "professional market". How old are you? Casio used to produce toy synthesizers. But not anymore

    este instrumento muestra la nueva imagen de casio que trasciende a las lineas de juguetes.. lo que seria bueno es que saquen un teclado ligero con sonido pro sin el peso de los parlantes.. pero bien este modelo habal bien de la marca.

    Are there speakers on this? Your webpage is confusing if it does (not listed in specs) but the right side black part looks like a speaker.

    • @calebrabion
      @calebrabion 6 років тому +1

      No it doesn't have speakers. The right side black part is a compartment for 8 AA batteries. Yes it runs on batteries if need be.

      Are you happy with this digital piano? I owned the XW-G1 synth and its sounds were poor.

    • @mr.newdev6794
      @mr.newdev6794 10 років тому

      Am I happy... yes would be an understatement. I LOVE IT! I like mine more than a Roland Rd 700-nx... plus it's more than half the price. Of course it depends on what you like... but should you consider it.... yes.

    • @mr.newdev6794
      @mr.newdev6794 10 років тому

      They just edited the sounds on the piano to make them sound better... which ik how to do now:)

    • @Wulfcry
      @Wulfcry 10 років тому

      TomZentra The XW-G1 has the same PCM format as the other mainstream synths difference is to get out what you want?. You need to program the sounds in performance mode. With the zones different oscillators/tones can be layered set dsp on it. Its a bit of a challenge but that what a synthesizer is in addition to what an workstation is or arranger.

      Hello! No, the PX-5S does not have speakers included. The similar PX-560 does have built in speakers, if that's an important feature for you:

  • @bjornronneberg

    It´s name says digital piano. Why don´t you concentrate on that? Because its not a good stage piano? I need good piano sounds, good e.l piano sound and good B3 sounds, incl a good tremolo function. If the PX-5S could deliver that, I guess thats where the focus would have been ! This demo does not work at all for me. Sorry
