@OnlyBallet Actually, I do like him :-) and I especially love his joie de vivre here, which clearly connects with the audience. His dancing is powerful and seemingly effortless - I would just like him to be perfect *all* the time!
You and me both, he is so amazing,... and what a wonderful Vaganova rector he is.. what he has done there in 5 years most wouldn't do in 15 if at all. He excels at everything.
Such a pity we can´t travel in time! And yes it´s really incredible, he really saved Vaganova from a financial crisis and gives us the most beautiful student performances I´ve ever seen!
Jasmin, did you see the latest performances of a very rare program he picked at Bolshoi gala 4 days ago? It was exquisite. He is an amazing artist and incredible human being;
Not just Paquita but 3 rare ballet, 2 of them with his revised choreography, Awakening of Flora, Niada and Fisherman and Day and Night of the Hours. They were all exquisite
Those are grands jetes in attitude efface, and hte back leg is supposed to be bent. Fantastic extensions, bueautiful feet -- the cvideo can't keep up with him, but from all I can see, it's perfectoin, and he's completely gracious throughout. LOl, that was funny, because in a way I feel the same with some dancers but I couldn´t find the word for my feelings, some bore me to death, jet still they must be good because they are there in good conpanies for a reason, but even worse, I understand now,my feelings to a ballerina I would´t name:she really annoys me.Not the case of Tsiskaridze, I loooooove him
Hmm! It seems to me that there is sometimes a fine line between having an "easy" technique and looking careless. I just wish he would always straighten out both his legs when he jumps - often the trailing leg is not stretched fully.
Did you maybe think why? He had such horrible knee injury that he was on a death bed with sepsis after the first surgery and then 9 more to save his leg and his life, he was not suppose to dance at all after that and walk with the cane. So maybe it will give you a little different outlook. That was in 2003. That knee was apparently bad earlier but he didn't know about it and when he slipped sideways, all of those muscles and tendons tore off completely. There is alwas a reason for everything.
