This story is a good example of dramatic irony. She admired MC for who he was but they went to different schools and he didn’t talk about his life there so she only saw the “lazy” side of him and thought he’d changed. She tried to use the president as a goal post because she figured he could be just as amazing but the gag was he was that president.
Besides that scene where the FMC got tricked by the guy, this episode is alright but we do really need episodes with different tropes from the usual ones and episodes for a new breath of fresh air for the viewers.
If the FMC was a true childhood friend, she would be supportive and not judgmental. Her doing a 180 flip should get the MC to call her out her flawed behavior. That’s going to strain their friendship until she properly reflects on her actions and learns from them.
