A book on how to prepare your résumé for them and a big present for Leno. The writers of this skit must have been seers! Merry Christmas to everybody:)
nah, it's reference to the show's early years when it's basically on the brink of cancellation every single day. During that early period, NBC would give them short term contracts, and even at one point, a notorious 6 week contract. It's kind of a miracle that Conan's show lasted as long as it did.
@@mattkomar7622 Yeah well NBC demonstrated that they never really valued Conan, he was just "tolerated". So it still holds true, although I suspect Conan really thought he was "set for life" once he finally got the Tonight Show. Whatever "Golden Era" of network TV there was, died the day NBC threw Conan under the bus to let Leno ramble on for another couple years.
@@bernlin2000 Conan was always too good for NBC. The execs had no idea what humor is. I remember when I was a kid I wondered why Leno had the more prestigious slot when Conan was funnier! Although I preferred late night since Conan could fool around more and had more time. His show was just so much better.
This is the first time I ever saw Conan O’Brien. I remember watching this segment when first it aired live in 97. I was only about 12 years old but after watching this, Conan officially became my favorite talkshow host and has been ever since. Conan Rules!
Flask in elevator was one of the all-time greatest scenes on TV. I remember watching that as a kid and I still think about this bit every holiday season.
Conan was famously on the verge of cancellation constantly during the early years, so it's less a case of foreshadowing and more a case of "always has been".
i really needed this. :) conan/andy and everyone that was involved. thankyou :) (and thankyou for re-uploading older stuff for younger people to see this gold)
Thanks to the uploader for putting the punchline of the skit in the thumbnail. Everyone knows with jokes you put the punchline first then the setup then the punchline again
My girlfriend got me the Infantilized cologne for Christmas. She must have seen this clip too, otherwise I have no idea where she'd get the idea. Anyway, right after I opened it, I starting chasing her around the house and spraying her with it.
A wide shot of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree falling over at the end would’ve literally killed me. Team Coco cut that original NBC shot out of this clip.
Back when a podium less Andy seemed very useless and rudimentary to the show at the first glance but once you start digging deeper, you'll find his place irreplaceable...
That elevator bit was why Conan's humor always appealed to us.

@Holbytatown must have watched the Chris rock interview

I told my gf how Conan is ageless and looks like 20 years ago, before realizing the clip is over 20 years old.
But he has aged very well, in fact.
Flask in elevator was one of the all-time greatest scenes on TV. I remember watching that as a kid and I still think about this bit every holiday season.
Conan, you’re a legend.
Not gonna lie..... Andy looks *adorable* in those jammies 😍😍😍😍😍
He's also doing product placement for Ben & Jerry's with his jammies. ;)
absolutely... he looks like a little boy
Andy always looks like a cute baby
I remember this one.
Ten days before it aired I met the girl who was to become my wife.
Time flies.
Wholesome
I remember this episode I was about to turn 18 years old. I'm about to turn 40 now. Wow time flies.
yup, i just turned 42
This was shot 3 months before I was born
i am same age as your.
I feel old, but finding this clip again is like I’m a kid at Christmas.
Somebody has said it and I will say it again...ConanClassic is the gift that keeps on giving
Merry Christmas to Conan, who almost made me not graduate high school because I was up late watching him every week night.
Andy has been always a force to be reckoned with!
"We cant take a camera on an elevator cause it has a cable!" ... Generation Y: Confused screaming!
Ooh I'm early
Wait, is that some kind of foreshadowing? 7:20
And the present for Leno is y'uuge
Conan was famously on the verge of cancellation constantly during the early years, so it's less a case of foreshadowing and more a case of "always has been".
Merry Christmas to all Conan fans!
You too
Merry Christmas
Cassel Krishnan how the fuck r u
Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays
1:15 bro, conan laughs, but he sounds like squeaker from toy story XD
I can't believe they used to do bits like this, since I've only had access to conan via youtube. This is awesome.
Dude, I love those guys! Because Conan and Andy runs like that in the hallway, they look so funny to me, and I love that part! 😄
It's a shame Fallon can't be this creative and do remotes.
They wouldn’t be funny though
Fallon sucks.
That is what it should be like on Christmas morning
“We killed them they‘re dead!”
Man, I feel old. Felt like I’ve been growing up with Conan through all his backdrops
Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays to you, man.
Thank you for posting these classic gems!! Love love Conon and Andy!
"Andy, turn around for the people"
*doesn't turn around*
and got an ovation anyways
But turns...round.
7:05 Conan should destroy Leno’s present 🤣
well, i think conan already predict his future
WE NEED MORE CLASSIC CONAN!!!
When the jazz music plays, it always killed me. 😂
Max and the bad are invoking “David Rose - The Stripper.”
kelsey grammar's chainsaw sounds like a good name for a band.
“Kelsey Grammar’s Chainsaw - Flesh is Burning”
ua-cam.com/video/chbVCyl6lMw/v-deo.htmlsi=t9rMmB9OjCIFNU3J
I can dream.
Merry Christmas, Conan and Andy 💖
Simply genius. Merry Christmas to the Conan team!
MAN!
They are so silly!
I liked how they purposely went back and destroyed the painting! XD
i really needed this. :) conan/andy and everyone that was involved. thankyou :) (and thankyou for re-uploading older stuff for younger people to see this gold)
how Andy became young again and Conan even more creepy :D
Andy is hilarious!
“You can’t take a cámara on the elevator”
2019: can’t relate
Conan looked like he was created in a Late Night Host lab
This skit feels so much like the Eric Andre show lmao
Merry Christmas y'all 😊. #CLASSIC
the elevator scene 👏🏽👏🏽🤣🤣
Merry Christmas Conan and Andy.
The way they leave the sets and go into the elevator makes me miss those trips I used to take to the NBC building in Manhattan...
Merry Christmas everyone... except Jay Leno.
😂😂
I like how they fight over the flask😄
1:15 Who brought the duck call into the studio? XD 🤣🤣🤣
I didn’t have stairs growing up
They are like Brothers
Conan is no Letterman, but this bit had some laughs.
Thanks to the uploader for putting the punchline of the skit in the thumbnail. Everyone knows with jokes you put the punchline first then the setup then the punchline again
The NOBOdyCares channel. You both make this Christmas not suck.
Conan "Take your Ritalin"
2019 "Way ahead of you"
I have been watching his show for like 20 years.
The silliest ones are sometimes the funniest.
Really weird how Andy just stands there off to the side without a podium
NBC gave them a warning then.
Awww poor Conan and Andy😂😂
Thanks for these 25 look backs on Conan.
Merry Christmas Conan and team, may you guys have a great time with your love ones :)
Kelsey Grammer is Side Show Bob so chainsaw makes sense lol
Merry Christmas, dear Cocoloco and Andy :> ♥
This would've been great if they did it for Christmas 2009 :P
I can't believe they got a motorcycle and a pony for this bit lol
Merry 🙏 ❣️ Merry Christmas tu all many blessings tu you and your families and remember tu enjoy your blessings and those tu come Chow 🙏 ❣️
Leno probably got the show as a Christmas present.
Conan looks exactly like Steve Winwood ;)
My girlfriend got me the Infantilized cologne for Christmas. She must have seen this clip too, otherwise I have no idea where she'd get the idea. Anyway, right after I opened it, I starting chasing her around the house and spraying her with it.
Fatafati 😜😜😜🤣🤣🤣
🎄
Merry Christmas!!! 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅
love that tree of the Rock!
What an elaborate bit
Saved the best one for last!
Merry Christmas, Conan. 🎁
Happy holidays 🎄
25 years....my god
Lil Sebastian!
conan is great
this is cool and fun
#Team CoCo Classic
#elevator😂cameras
*"Take your Ritalin!"* lmfao
That hair
Conan has aged like a fine wine.
A wide shot of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree falling over at the end would’ve literally killed me.
Team Coco cut that original NBC shot out of this clip.
I love classic coco I miss it
Hahaha Funny enough I have the same looking flannel pajama pants on as Conan but have a black shirt on haha
One time he says he likes it one time he doesn’t you can’t trust this funny dude 💙
Love u Conan! ❤❤❤😁
I didn't imagine it was so hard to get out of that building
This is so good. Must be a 15 year old video but every bit is funny. Impressive!
22 years be precise.
Damn, Andy look young back then!
Foreshadowing.
Why am i even watching this. I have work to submit in an hour. 🤷
This was aired 22 years 😱
I agree. This IS the dumbest thing they have ever done.
...and that's why I love it.
I guess the books came in handy when Conan and Andy were Fired by NBC in 2010
College in a nutshell 😂
They were both so young....
Remember, Jay Leno does not want you to blame Conan O’Brien.
So don’t blame Conan.
Don’t.
Back when a podium less Andy seemed very useless and rudimentary to the show at the first glance but once you start digging deeper, you'll find his place irreplaceable...
