Nice to see a new video, enjoyed going through all your stuff last month! The next best thing to actual fishing, is watching it 😆 as I do videos myself just as a bit of fun really, I have an understanding of how long it takes, especially for you with multi cameras and audio, your efforts are much appreciated. All the best and well done on your recent league successes.
Thanks bud, I had a great season match fishing, just hope the cameras don't curse me this year. The videos require a lot of work, particularly if I decide to do cuts to music, montages etc. I'll probably just be vlogging without too many bells and whistles to ensure I actually get something published whilst being short on time, just need to work on the energy levels 💪
Thanks Steve, I think it's important to explain things, I try to keep it as simple as possible where I can, we don't always need 10 different rigs and 6 lines to fish effectively.
Welcome back good to see you posting vids again, I used to occasionally fish the Pilks Saturday opens it was always a squat and pinkie match and hemp won the day roach all the way, that was 2005-2010 time then I moved to Oz and not caught a fish since :)
Yes I imagine hemp will be a great bait when it warms up a little more. More recently I'm told pellet can do the business. Rob (match winner) clearly had some local info because he fished pellet on an inside line and had a dozen fish on it and he never fishes pellet on a natural venue.
Thanks Stephen. Plenty of bites to be had, on the short line, I'd probably cut back the bream feed, cup it tight and load more worm in on the long line but it's a waiting game if you go for bream.
Nice to see you on video again John, another great watch. Well done on the result, not far off really. Wonder if you would have managed the win if you'd just plundered that inside line. Looking forward to watching the rest as the season progresses.
Great to see you are back and going to be producing some new content really have missed it . I have always liked your content lt is always informative and helpful even when things don't go quite too plan keep up the good work pall cheers Graham
Yes, ithe stamp got better, just like the week before but unfortunately the wind made the last half hour really hard work to present the bait otherwise might have caught a few big dogs.
They're in the dark ages David. They have a 'process' to apply. After nearly a year of trying to get an application, I finally got one, sent my membership card off and never heard a thing back, they never returned my card. The majority want to see the videos but a small minority in power have some issues with it, I could list at least ten reasons I've heard on the grapevine but I won't get into it, I'm moving on, their loss.
Great to see you back John and well done on third place. You had to keep trying the long line, just in case a bonus bream/skimmer turned up. Were you the only one to catch a chub?
Great days , donny rovers beat colchester and ...hes back , well done john , makes a change from the surfing conditions of your last outing ( i think) , great vid as always
Really appreciate your time and energy making these video's John, so much better than the rubbish that's mostly on the tele, would you have caught some more skimmers on your short line if you had fed small balls of groundbait laced with maggots etc. or would that have brought more bleak and smaller fish in ? Cheers.
Thanks Roland. It's hard to say what the groundbait may have done, I suspect maybe it would have drawn smaller fish in but I honestly don't know. I thought the fish would come up in the water loose feeding like they did the week before and this made the bites much more positive but because the temperature dropped the night before I think they were reluctant to sit higher and were staying on or close to the bottom, so maybe groundbait would have worked on match day, every day is different.
Yes I already watched and commented on your video. I joined a new club G.A.C. about 3 yaers ago. My introduction to the head bailiff . Involved him calling me a tackle tart and informing me I was not to mention where I was fishing on any of there waters. You can imagine if you were a young angler who was not used to such nonsense. This type of behaviour does nothing for our sport. It just allianates anyone from doing it in the first place.
I'm afraid to say Roberto that you always get one no matter what you do in life. I have to say that as a UA-camr and match angler my experience has been on the whole positive, there's thousands of anglers and most will bend over backwards to help you. As for the tackle tart comments, what you choose to spend your money on is your business and nobody else's, maybe just a bit of the green eyed monster came out in him. I like quality tackle but I don't always buy the top end, I buy what I'm happy using, does the job in hand well and feel offers value for money, there's a point at which you get diminishing returns for the outlay.
@@HOOKEDFishingChannel Thanks for taking time out to reply to my message. Your comments are greatly appreciated. I am glad you are now putting out more great videos. I always look forward to watching them. It's a pitty angling videos are not held in the same regard as football. Where depending on the quality of the video. You get paid a good sum of money accordingly. I'm sure your videos with the varied angles of shooting would be in the premier league. Keep on bagging.
Sorry to here you can't get a filming permit for Y.D.A.A. ? Seems a strange one. There is not a lot of entertainment on the T.V. An interesting and entertaining video programme like you and other anglers are making. Has got to be better than half the trash on .T.V. I know exactly what you mean about time taken making videos. The rewards are not great. Although thousands in your case , watch your videos . It does not pay the bills. Hope you continue to put a few out when you have time. I look forward to watching them. Good luck.
Thanks Roberto. YDAA are just dinosaurs and anti social media. I'll make what I can for the channel, won't be fishing too many YDAA waters this year as have other fishing commitments.
Very true, i think how a bait binds and breaks down is more important but I'd rather use one I like the smell of than something awful that lingers on your hands for days.
York DAA cannot stop anyone filming in a public area , this rule states on their web site that you need permission from the trustees if not then its an offence to film , what utter claptrap its a public area and no offenses are committed unless they are indecent
Appreciate that mate but I don't need the hassle of getting barred from the club waters or whatever action they decide to take if you break their rules.
Nice to have you back John. Enjoyed that
Glad you enjoyed it, cheers Neil.

Welcome back mate missed your content you are probably one of the best out there for the tactics and explaining what you are doing 👍🏻

Nice to see you back John well done in coming third

Great to have you back John, well done....💪
Thanks Phillip
Good to see you back John. I think we are there this coming Saturday so so some good tips.
Thanks Stephen. Plenty of bites to be had, on the short line, I'd probably cut back the bream feed, cup it tight and load more worm in on the long line but it's a waiting game if you go for bream.

Thank you Mike, filming is easy, finding the time to edit them not so much🤷♂️
Nice to see you back John, plenty of fish just not the bigger stamp
Thanks Philip, it was nice to get back into talking to the cameras, the editing is time consuming but I'll do what I can this year.

Great to have you back john, if only the fish were like the last hours stamp, you would smashed it...still 3rd top effort.
Yes, ithe stamp got better, just like the week before but unfortunately the wind made the last half hour really hard work to present the bait otherwise might have caught a few big dogs.
Great to have yoy back john much appreciated for the content
Thanks James
Great video John great to see you back. Pity about the York amalgamation I would have thought videos would be a good advertisement for their waters

crackin venue, well done john, and welcome back. regards mick.
Tnanks Mick, good to be back👍
Great to see you back John and well done on third place. You had to keep trying the long line, just in case a bonus bream/skimmer turned up. Were you the only one to catch a chub?
Thanks Andy, yes I think that was the only chub caught although I know Rob said he caught a dace as well as the one I got.
About time you did more fishing videos?
Welcome back. Great vid, appreciate the time it takes to sort your cameras, edit and upload. Cheers 👍🍺
Thanks Ant, appreciate you watching and commenting. 👌

The weather never gets any better but if Yorkshire is winning at football, who cares 😊
Well done john
And it’s about time you got some new content out 😉😉😉
Cheers Darren, I'll consider myself told off🤣

If weather forecasters got paid by correct forecast they wouldn't get paid .🎣
LOL, too true. ☔

Doing any videos John?
sounds as the ground bait catching you, not the fish, you not what they say angling products catch fisherman , not fish
