He was at the corner store getting White T's for a show and somebody told him to go to the store up the block from my house. He took pictures with the clerk and everything. It was like 8 pm and his show was downtown that night like a 10pm. I was so PISSED I couldn't go. From what I heard he was late to his set, and STILL did another 20 mins to make it up. Real humble guy, dude.

After marriage and kids I went back and earned my B.A. and M.A while working 40-50hrs/week. Best decision of my life! Black folks need more education, plus it's one less obstacle to overcome. My kids know that college is not a "choice" for them, it's a norm.
