24:50.....Many thanks for sharing....i am 100% Bidayuh (Serian)....."Bidayuh" Meant,.......Dayaks Tribe who traveling / walk from jungle to another jungle, walk from land to land....normally known as a Land Dayak Land is Dayuh(Bidayuh word) / Darat(Malay word)..... BI + DAYUH = Berjalan kaki dari darat ke darat
Beautiful and very very interesting! A big thank you to those who willingly go the extra miles to bring this great history of the origins of the Bidayuhs as knowledge and education to the newer generations and the rest of the world! Thank you.
As part of the younger generation (Gen Z) who is also mixed (Chinese-Bidayuh), having grew up in Semenanjung i dont know the roots of my own culture. I hope more videos like this come out so i can get to know my own roots better
Hopefully, you guys will someday complete the Bidayuh story of Sungkung, the place of origin of the Bidayuh where one will see a lot of copper ring ladies walking about doing their daily chores. If only the Dutch and English did not separate them.😓😰
I would suggest an expedition/exploration by a group of expertise or interested parties (Archaeologist, Researchers, Historians, Biologists, Explorers etc.) to climb up Mount/Dorod/Derod Sungkung and make a research on it. Then this Mount Sungkung is to be recognised/declared as a "Pilgrimage Site" by the Indonesian Government. This official Pilgrimage Site is for all Bidayuhs either from Kalimantan or Sarawak to commemorate the origins of our existence and places of our forefathers. Just my tot.
@@siyokkobos Precisely but before that we must arouse the interest of the academics by first visiting the Sungkung Complex and sharing the videos of their culture. I've done my part. I hope you guys will continue from where I've left.🤞🏿🙌🏿👏🏿🙏🏿
Please don't get me wrong. The "Pilgrimage Site" I mentioned is not of religious in nature. It is more to visiting a special place where we can claim as our own. Considered one of our heritage/historical site. Like the chinese visiting The Great Wall of China or The Forbidden City.
Penempatan suku bidayuh terawal adalah di bung bratak. Sebahagian mereka berpindah ke daerah penrissen dan sekitar bau seperti krokong, serembu, singai n jagoi. Bung bratak lebih awal dari rabak mikabuh.
we are all part of Austronesian people...we originated from taiwan ..its kinda hard to think that the people in sarawak came from south since taiwan is right across our north...it will be logical to think it opposite ...
Human population migration moves in multiple directions, in different waves. Just because the austronesian wave of the “out-of-Taiwan” theory move in a generally southward direction, they also branch off at different points in time depending on population pressure. Back then, Borneo island itself was really massive and empty, it only made sense that they branch off from Sungkung, which lies right across the current Sarawak border as no one were around to claim the deep jungles of then Bau, Padawan and Serian.
@taiton2661 borneons also have genetic input for austroasiatic , this migration happened during sundaland, from the west , if you see genes of dayaks many have austroasiatic gene , they not full austronesians . Which means when austronesians migrated south it meant that they already meet austroasiatic inhabitant and inturn they mix together . Pure austronesians would be Filipinos and sulawesi islanders , were before arrival of austronesians ,it was inhabited by melanesian people , while . Java sumatra, borneo and smenanjung would be inhabited by austroasiatic before arrival of austronesians .
Belum lgi sejarah dayak bidayuh bukar sadong lgi ngeri... Kenapa? apa sbb banyak konflik berlaku di sekitarnya bidayuh bukar sadong vs bidayuh bianah? Sadong vs rejankg kalimantan?

Hello! I'm currently doing a research on the Bidayuh culture. I would appreciate it if anyone who is Bidayuh reach out to me. Thanks!
I think you can refer to DBNA(Dayak Bidayuh National Organization). I believe they can help. Good luck on your research.
Hello! How was your research? Where can it be found? I am going to research too. Can I contact you?
