Just saw Tool 11/1/23. Unreal! If you ever get a chance to see them live jump on it. You will not be disappointed. BTW I’m 69 years old and hope to be seeing them live til they no longer tour.
Milwaukee show was unbelievable! Had VIP seats 6 rows back in front of Justin. It was my 60th birthday present from a wonderful friend! I've been a fan since the beginning!!! Third time I've experienced the wizardry of TOOL!
Man I love tool! They just tick all the boxes for me. This song in particular is one of my favorites. Can’t wait for you to hear Jimmy and H. Great video sev 🤘🌀
The spoken word part, is done by the legendary Henry Rollins of Black Flag and Rollins Band fame. I highly suggest you check out some Rollins Band tracks!
This song was out when i was getting a divorce, it changed me. I never cried over it and never ever looked back. Great Lyrics I MUST ERASE YOU, I MUST MY MISTAKES AGAINST YOU !!!! 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Black Flag is an American punk rock band formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, California. They are widely considered to be one of the first hardcore punk bands, as well as one of the pioneers of post-hardcore. ✌️
"if you don't like this..... slap that unsubscribe button!" lolololol love it! I knew this one was hiding on ya. 🔥🔥🔥 people sleep on this album as a whole, I think its because they came in on the laterals/10,000 days eras. If you grew up listening to these albums as they were released its ranks high because of the era it was released in. Nothing and I mean nothing even came close to this sound.
I came in at AEnema , love the earlier stuff too. And as awesome as this song is I'd put it in (damn the pun has crept up on me, I didn't intend it) the bottom half of Undertow
I get so full of happy energy everytime I watch one of your awesome reactions to the Glorious Tool - so, forget about your suggestion of "unsubscribing to your channel" LoL :) This song pulls me in, grabs me and never lets me go without a fulfilling sensation of hopeful redemption. I guess today is going to be a wonderful day... thanks, man!
30 years old and still blowing people's minds. If this came out in 2023 instead of 1993. People would be losing it, number 1 on I-tunes and top of the charts
The proper reaction. I listen to the entire Undertow album every day including Digustipated. I need to hear it again 2 more times already. Also, the spoken part was Henry Rollins, he has a band called Henry Rollins band.
Yyyyyyyessssssss!!! This is the album I started with 30 years ago!!! Finally a reaction artist reacting to more than just sober from undertow. From undertow, next, you should check out 4• I love your reactions.
I remember getting this album when I was 12. It was then where tool became the soundtrack of my life and still is. I used it for everything and it’s so cool seeing people still discovered what I was lucky to find as a kid. Changed my life
This album is so underrated and this is possibly my favorite Tool song. It’s heavy, raw and has a good groove. Oh yeah, one of Maynard’s all time screams.
I'm sure someone else mentioned this, but the spoken word poem was Henry Rollins, not Maynard. Rollins is another legend between Black Flag and the Rollins Band which would be another great rabbit hole to explore. That said, there's actually a video floating around UA-cam of them recording this song and Henry writing and recording that section in real time. Pretty cool if you like the behind the scenes stuff
Yeah!!!! Your awesome! Unsubscribe if you don’t like this. Hahaha! Finally this is get the recognition it deserves. When I was 16 close to 30 years ago undertow and bottom at that time was one of the top three for me on the album, every tool song is amazing don’t get me wrong. I would put the CD into my ghetto blaster, which thought was mind blowingly amazing 🤩 and just disappeared into a fantasy of choppy, juicy beats. This is an amazing album through and through.
Lyrics of some of these songs on undertow are about MJK being raped as a child. There’s a reason he doesn’t sing them anymore. He’s stated he hates that he wrote them. It’s easy to get caught up in the band’s music and compositions that something so horrific is missed by just rocking out to it. Prison Sex is another. The record label tried to put it on t-shirts. The band protested. Musically it’s amazing, no question. It’s something he had to scream to get out, and he’s grown beyond it. It’s not something he wants to revisit, but there for survivors that need it. Very raw album. Sober is about Paul. Just out there. This album is all about the demons (not in a religious way). Ænima is where their (MJKs lyrics at least) real human progression becomes notable.
love your reactions bro, pure authenticity.. can't fake true appreciation of great music. Love those books behind you, read most of them. 48 Laws of Power? COME ON!
The dude who played bass on this album also played for Ministry. You need to check out Ministry and the song called Thieves. Watch the official video too. I promise this song to be right up the crunchy, choppy, and as bad ass as you can possibly imagine.
Thank you! OGT92 and Bottom is currently my favorite Tool song (again 😁). I was pushing for this one 😍 1000% It's time to intro Sev to Rollins! As an OG Rollins band fan, I gotta say you need to start with Low Self Opinion, or Grip...off of End of the Silence Imagine if a HC punk singer put together a backing band made up of trained jazz musicians, playing hardcore music ❤ 'Liar' is the Mtv song.😉
Tool is my favorite band! 🤘 Great reaction bro, I see you enjoyed the drummer, he’s a beast! But if you want to listen another monster, please react to Anesthetize live version, from Porcupine Tree, you going to love it, I’m sure about that. Greetings from Houston Texas, USA 🇺🇸🤘🎸😎
Hey Sev,, yeah, my brother, that was not Maynard,,, the spoken word was Henry Rollins lead singer of the punk band black flag 🏴 This is the only song in all of tools discography that has a guest singer on it.🤘🏼🏴🤘🏼
Hey Sev,, happy Thanksgiving, my brother, I don’t know if you guys celebrate that in Australia lol🦃🦃🦃 anyways the spoken word on this song is done by Henry Rollins, the lead singer of iconic punk band Black Flag 🏴 my best to you and your family🤘🏼🔧🔧🔧🤘🏼
Love Undertow, is it their best? No, but it's vital, monumental TOOL..."There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you...there's no other choice..."
Yeah the Spoken word section was Henry Rollins who was the singer in Black Flag and if you haven't checked them out yet and like punk rock I'd give them a look
Team CHOPPY DROPS!!! Love your reaction vids man, reminds me of when i first heard Tool 30yrs ago, blew me away.. still does. You gotta do this double off Aenima; Message to Harry Manback & Hooker with a Penis.
Undertow and Aenima both had a lot of extra texture that is sort of lacking on the later albums. they really used to go in with the distortion and dissonance. especially when the bass gets distorted, that's when you really start to need extra adjectives. chunky, scratchy, scrapy. the opening riff of Sober for instance, and Stinkfist
PULL OUT THE ADJECTIVES!
I was excited 😊 hahahaha
They were out my friend, they were ALL the way out!!!?
Just saw Tool 11/1/23. Unreal! If you ever get a chance to see them live jump on it. You will not be disappointed. BTW I’m 69 years old and hope to be seeing them live til they no longer tour.
Isnt it fascinating how good music attracts people of all ages? Im 20. Will be seeing them in January of next year!
I am 44 and have seen them play over 30 times. They are even more amazing live.
Milwaukee show was unbelievable! Had VIP seats 6 rows back in front of Justin. It was my 60th birthday present from a wonderful friend! I've been a fan since the beginning!!! Third time I've experienced the wizardry of TOOL!
i saw them last year at the O2 arena in London , amazing. i was 65 at that time. Never tire of them .!!@@bubbasboyngirl
Me too I'm 60!! Yasssss sista!!
The spoken voice section actually wasn't Maynard! It was Henry Rollins! Amazing song, fantastic reaction my friend!!
He needs to check out Rollins Band.
And live Zac has performed that part
I think everyone has known that for a few decades.
This album is a bangerthon .
Man I love tool! They just tick all the boxes for me. This song in particular is one of my favorites. Can’t wait for you to hear Jimmy and H. Great video sev 🤘🌀
H. Yess please Jimmy yes yes yes
Oh yeah! “H”!
I love how raw this whole album is!!!!😁🤘❤️🎼
The spoken word part, is done by the legendary Henry Rollins of Black Flag and Rollins Band fame. I highly suggest you check out some Rollins Band tracks!
Hahaha the "Taxi Driver" style monologue from Henry is classic
This song was out when i was getting a divorce, it changed me.
I never cried over it and never ever looked back.
Great Lyrics
I MUST ERASE YOU, I MUST MY MISTAKES AGAINST YOU !!!!
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Black Flag is an American punk rock band formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, California.
They are widely considered to be one of the first hardcore punk bands, as well as one of the pioneers of post-hardcore. ✌️
Saw Tool in 1994 in a bar in Baltimore. Amazing show.
Having Henry speak on this track was amazing. Great song.
TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!
G,o,a,t,s
change my mind
My favorite TOOL song. Loved the 90s!!! Just seen them on Tuesday live. Amazing show everytime!
Henry Rollins from BLACK FLAG is like pouring hot sauce on the track. ✌️
sevsimo, UNDERTOW is arguably their best LP. Every track is a top-notch CHOP! ✌️
Henry Rollins did the spoken word part! Check out Rollins Band - Liar for another amazing song.
haha... 'I'LL TEAR YOUR MIND OUT! YEAH I AM A LIAR! YEAH!' I hope he does. He'd love him.
Badass song!! Love this whole album! Can't wait to see what's coming next! 🤘🤘❤
"if you don't like this..... slap that unsubscribe button!" lolololol love it! If you grew up listening to these albums as they were released its ranks high because of the era it was released in. Nothing and I mean nothing even came close to this sound.
Exactly right. I tell people all the time that when this came out it was different because everything else coming out was grunge.
I came in at AEnema , love the earlier stuff too. And as awesome as this song is I'd put it in (damn the pun has crept up on me, I didn't intend it) the bottom half of Undertow
I get so full of happy energy everytime I watch one of your awesome reactions to the Glorious Tool - so, forget about your suggestion of "unsubscribing to your channel" LoL :) This song pulls me in, grabs me and never lets me go without a fulfilling sensation of hopeful redemption. haha appreciate it my friend!! My pleasure, thanks for tuning in!
Just saw tool on nov 13th for the first time in about 23 years.
They are so fn good live
30 years old and still blowing people's minds. If this came out in 2023 instead of 1993. People would be losing it, number 1 on I-tunes and top of the charts
So glad for you to jump back into Tool!!!!
Hell yeah Sev absolutely classic TOOL. This song is definitely top notch. Kick ass reaction brother, please keep em coming champion 🤘🌀🌀🤘
This album is amazing
Yes!! Was hoping for this one to pop up. Thank you!🔥
wow...Tool was dangerously close to making a rock song here...😝 (GREAT album)
Surely we are getting closer to reacting to Sober and H.!
The proper reaction. I listen to the entire Undertow album every day including Digustipated. I need to hear it again 2 more times already. Also, the spoken part was Henry Rollins, he has a band called Henry Rollins band.
TEAM CHOPPY DROPS!!! LET'S GOOOO!!!

Yyyyyyyessssssss!!! This is the album I started with 30 years ago!!! Finally a reaction artist reacting to more than just sober from undertow. From undertow, next, you should check out 4• I love your reactions.
Reminded me why I used Undertow as my pre-snowboarding ritual - it inspired that "Go Big or Go Home" mentality we need on the slopes!
A gentle prompt again, my friend, to please check out Sober Live at Reading Festival 1993 (Pro-shot). A bucket list experience.
I remember getting this album when I was 12. It was then where tool became the soundtrack of my life and still is. I used it for everything and it’s so cool seeing people still discovered what I was lucky to find as a kid. Changed my life
Hard pressed to pick a favorite T00L song, but I think this one is it. ALways coming back to blast this one! Love it
This album is so underrated and this is possibly my favorite Tool song. It’s heavy, raw and has a good groove. Oh yeah, one of Maynard’s all time screams.
"shit adds up at the bottom".
I love this song!
Funny as fuck
Wow bro I am impressed on theses tracks you have been blessed with.
I can’t wait for my request!
Justin C. is certainly a genius on the bass. But you can't sleep on Paul D`amore crucifying this entire album.
Lol, we never shut the Air Con off in America. Unless it’s 70degrees outside which it is atm in Florida 😃
Great song! I wore this tape out in my car back in the day.
No better live band than Tool seen them 6 times and not enough.
Henry Rollins...spoken word !!!
❤Tool ❤
Bottom ...tool army est.1993..

Yes and yes
I knew the air drums were coming out early!😊
Henry Rollins was the guy speaking in the middle. You need to check him out too and his band, Rollins Band.
And more importantly, Black Flag.
Man…I thought you had already heard this one…just happened to be browsing YT today and ya it’s fucjin awesome. 😎
One of my faves...
Yes!!! This is going to be great!! On a thanksgiving morning this is perfect haha 😂 my favorite track on undertow

The dude who played bass on this album also played for Ministry. You need to check out Ministry and the song called Thieves. Watch the official video too. I promise this song to be right up the crunchy, choppy, and as bad ass as you can possibly imagine.

It is kind of sad that you are just now hearing this song. I was listening to this song over 23 years ago.
Don't question a Tool song, just experience it...😅
A great album
Undertow is my favorite albumn
Bro, trying to air drum to Danny on the 100th listen is a challenge.........you're having a crack on the first 😂
Love Undertow, is it their best? No, but it's vital, monumental TOOL..."There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you...there's no other choice..."
Love these homie. My fav reactor.
appreciate it my bro thank you 🙏
Sh*t adds up...at the Bottom.
The whole Undertow Album is underrated. All the songs are Bangers besides Sober.
You're going to need a freaking Gatorade after that one
damn right 😂
Yeah the Spoken word section was Henry Rollins who was the singer in Black Flag and if you haven't checked them out yet and like punk rock I'd give them a look
It's like lotion for the ears
It puts the lotion in the ears, or it gets TOOL again!!!? 😉🔧🎶🌀😅
The chug Project volume 1 and 2 by Ola Englund 👍🔥
Team CHOPPY DROPS!!!
Love your reaction vids man, reminds me of when i first heard Tool 30yrs ago, blew me away.. still does.
You gotta do this double off Aenima;
Message to Harry Manback & Hooker with a Penis.
haha.. welcome.

You gotta do the song Flood now!!! Best song on the Undertow album!!!
Meshuggah I next, just trust me sevv
Death Blooms
Wasn’t Maynard at that spot. It was Henry Rollins from Black Flag and Rollins band
The spoken part is Henry Rollins….. you have to do a reaction to “Rollins Band”…. Song…. “Liar”. with Video…. 👌🏻
I guarantee you’ll enjoy it
The guy talking is Henry Rollins from Rollins Band
Allow me to introduce you to Mudvayne!
🤘🏻🌀
Speaking of HENRY ROLLINS , you should react to ROLLINS BAND - GRIP. among others. but that’s my pick for now.
The one and only feature tool has from another band vocalist
Correct me is I’m wrong but the spoken word portion is Henry Rollins of black flag?
sevsimo reacts the greatest Tool song is Sweat. Without Sweat, tools are worthless
My favorite TOOL song🔥
HEADPHONES CANT BE TURNED UP LOUD ENOUGH YOU NEED SUBS AND 5000 W RMS
