- As an adult collector, I fell hard for the Girl of the Year collection. I absolutely adore each and every girl I have, and I hope you enjoy meeting them all. Also included in this video are my contemporary character dollies, and all the outfits/accessories I have for them.

Lanie will forever be my favorite girl of the year. I got her on Facebook marketplace for $20 who has the artist watermark and older eyes with her camper. Your Lanie is adorable. Also she’s from Cambridge so a good Massachusetts representative.

Ooooh a nice long collection video excellent. Can't wait to sit down and watch this evening. Yesterday I was in a charity shop (thrift store) and saw a Barbie with the orange and yellow hair and I said it's the Shelly Barbie!!!! Then I realised it was a modern version with rainbow hair not the vintage one haha.

Actually Felicity and Lanie have different eyes! Felicity has the decal green while Lanie has the original hazel. 😊 21 was the first doll with the original hazels.
I meant that they were brighter than the later eyes (Lissie's are indeed VERY green). I did not know #21 was the first with hazel eyes :)
Sonali is of Indian descent, too. So technically Kavi wasn’t the first. 😉
I wasn't collecting when Sonali came out, and she was just a friend not the main doll :)

Hi i bought 2 days ago a 1978 Sun Lovin Barbie doll with a blue and green halter pant suit original Barbie fashion outfit how do i get out the pink color on her roght side of her scalp and her hair i washed her with dawn dish soap and it still didn't come out
She has the tan lined and is made in Taiwan for $2.50 at a thrift store
If it's a stain, you'll need to do the stain removal treatment (in my "Tips & Tutorials" playlist). Dish soap won't remove any stains, which is why the pink is still there after you washed her.
