Thank you for the the time stamps
I know it's a bit late but this is actually pretty cool of you to timestamps everything
am I fucked up, or is this little bastard cute asf? 1:38
Are you going to make a video on the Swarm Leeches?
Sera would be a frightening place to live in
If Australia is a planet...
@Just Some Guy without a Mustache you're literally everywhere
Honestly
@@user-iy7jo7bq4f hahahahaha yep
Really?
A good shooter doesn't just need fun weapons, it needs fun enemies to shoot with said weapons, and the absolute rainbow of creatures the Hollow provides gave Gears of War some *really* fun enemies.
Personally, I enjoy the tickers. They're cute in a freaky, teeth-chattery sort of way.
The fact you can kick them and send them flying was also a fun bonus.
@@Rahab369 bonus points if you shoot one in midair
@@curtismcpsycho8212 bet grab your Snub first person to get three gets to eat Spaghetti with Dom
The Corpser Hatchlings are kinda cute like some spiders can be too.
Recently I started thinking about E-Day and the early stages of the war. From what I pieced together it seemed like the Kryll were crucial to the Locust victories in the early stages of the war. Due to the COGs demobilization and the surprise of the first two days of the war, the locust were able to overwhelm any resistance they faced. But the wiki states that when the COG mobilized they were able to check the Locusts advance, apparently turning the tide in Tyrus as well. But without the Kryll they wouldn't have been able to destroy cities as efficiently, or overwhelm COG strongholds. Personally, using Gears Tactics as a reference, the Hammer of Dawn Strikes were ineffective and the COG should have instead launched something akin to the Lightmass Offensive to try and destroy the kryll.
The lightmass bomb was a relatively new weapon at the time. Plus when you're getting attacked from everywhere including the air and under the ground it must be hard to figure out their weakness.
@@justiron2999 I think you and the op both have a point here. On one hand they should've used something simmilar to the lightmass bomb instead of the Hammer of Dawn but on the other, I think they were working with the best weapons they had at the time especially considering that they were being overwhelmed. The Hammer of Dawn just bought the Seran's enough time to not be outright destroyed.
@@jmsgridiron5628 To add onto this the novels made it clear that despite humanities best efforts during the first year of war the Locusts were constantly overwhelming humans with their superior numbers, and massive amounts of Hollow creatures (a Brumak alone could wipe out probably over a hundred soldiers.)
They kept taking city by city in a short amount of time, and worse they were able to salvage and repurpose any left over weapons from all the human soldiers they killed.
The Hammer of Dawn in the grand scheme of things was meant to put a stop to their unstoppable march on Sera. But the C.O.G knew that it was never going to kill them all, just buy them time to properly muster their defenses and try and hold them back from the few cities left standing.
Desperate times comes with desperate solutions
The COG was authoritarian and like most authoritarian states its military was mostly underwhelming with bad leadership to the top
I feel like these creatures should have survived the emulsion bomb if they were the wild versions not tampered with by the locust. It could've made gears 4/5 more interesting if the COG then started using them to rebuild society. Plus Cole could've been seen as a type of equestrian with Reavers since he called the one he rode horsey and seemed to care about it.
Damn comics make the locust seem sm more intelligent and organized, definitely gotta read them now
I just had a thought: do you think the way General Raam controls the Kryll, he controls other creatures, (Corpsers, Brumaks, Reavers, Drones, etc.) telepathically as well? Maybe Queen Myrrah controls him as well? Maybe the entire Locust Horde has a telepathic bond that they hear like the COG's TAC-COM, you ever think of that?
Well the swarm in the newer gears games are a hive mind and can communicate within each other, so it wouldn’t be too far fetched if the locust had some ability to communicate as well, maybe to a weaker extent
Yes the queen can telepathically communicate with the locust but idk if locust can telepathically communicate to other locust or if they just speak to eachother
Well we know she can, we seen her propaganda too
Major shoutout to horsey, he was the real MVP
me seeing the bloodmount: so technically when it's using it's talons it's kicking the enemy? cool.
Another legend in the making! This is exactly the video I have been waiting for!
When you get to control a Brumak in Gears of War 2 will always be badass! Reeking havoc on the Locust horde was a power fantasy.
*Rest in Peace Dom & Maria*
Gears of War 2 is probably one of the best sequels to a video game that I've ever played.
No matter how many times I hear it, "they're sinking cities with a GIANT WOOÖRM" will always make me laugh
You deserve much more views and subs ! Honestly keep it up !
Thank you that really means a lot!!
I’m just wondering why we never saw a Lambent Corpser. I mean in Gears of War 1 we saw that open Corpser sink in that pool of Imulsion. That just drown it? I am just curious if a Corpser could become lambent. I also wonder what happened to the Corpsers after the Imulsion Countermeasure was set off if any survived.
Alot of speculation is because they're so heavily armored on their legs they just sink and drown due to the weight. Another way of speculation..is that most were wiped out with the nexus flooding
@@zhikari3231 Well a Bumack is also heavy yet we saw one turn lambent. I wonder why the Corpsers never did.
@@Nenshokaze true. The brumak did go lambent...but I feel that was more of a onscreen reason and that they really had no last boss (as of writing this I cant recall if we'd taken down Mira yet/scourge or no. It's been a few years) corpsers probably had a lambent form that they couldn't really figure out. I'm betting they just became part of the swarm
@@zhikari3231 Ah, I see. That was after Skorge was killed and they used the Lambent Brumak to sink Jacinto.
@@CesarLopez-is3wt Right
I would love to see the gears 1 to 3 get remastered
Gears of wars ultimate is gears 1 remastered
Let’s go Abz !
😁hope u enjoyed!
If Australia was a planet, it would be Sera
The corpser is how big Americans think our spiders are like
I’ve always loved and feared brumaks
So to simply put it Marcus and his squad killed one of the Locust gods and still they thought they’d have a chance? 😂
I just found this video and it's a awesome video you did an amazing job
Thank you I’m v glad you enjoyed it 😁working on more content just as good!
Fun fact! Wretchs and Brumaks are not animals that lived on Cera like the Corspers. They were made like the Locust. I'm pretty sure the Brumak is something to do with gorilla DNA! I can't remember the Wretchs DNA but you get to see them in the new hope type place under ice. You get to see one In a pod
Also disclaimer: I'm not sure about the Brumak being made by humans! I think I saw a theory I can't remember. But, Wretchs were definitely made by humans!
I think the things in the pods were sides which were primitive expirements of the locust
@@black-nv5lh Are you sure? They have the facial features?
@@Nelty. they were the first of the locuats and wretches came after the locust forst were made.
Those were Sires, the first experiments into making the Locust which was a mix of human DNA, a creature from the hollow, and Imulsion. It's possible wretches were used as the DNA from the hollow
I think Tempest's beam attack could be like the chemical based laser we use on modern warships. Just a thought, but imo it more interesting then just chalking it up to emulsion.
Hey since the Locust were made by mixing human and hollow creature DNA, since the wretch is the most humanoid do you think it was wretch DNA that made the Locust?
The tickers are not exactly small. You left out that they can swallow any weapon which makes the gears believe they have a black whole inside them. When they are killed sometimes a weapon they swallow will pop out
Fantastic video bro!
Thank you bro, glad you enjoyed it 🤝
Replaying all the gears on insane and truthfully your lore vids are the only thing keeping me from going insane, so thanks man.
P.S really wish we got a spin-off game of the pendulum wars.
Sera is basically if Australia was a planet
Lmao sounds about right.
Great video!
Thank you!!
The ticker fighting ring could be seen I think during a solo play of gears of war 3
We already know what Brumaks, corpsers, and, tickers look like without armor but what do the others look like?
51:05 so what I'm gathering from this is that Seeders literally shat on the COG. Kinda funny.
Time to get the 🍿
i made it here brother, another great video. Really, you do good with these.
Not all the locust were killed in the hive Buster's DLC for gears 5 you learn the islander chick was part of a unit that hunted the remaining locust into extinction even killing the babies
It's even possible that maybe the locusts are still around in the swarm
In the hollow it was called the hollow and in the hollow lived hollow creatures that were called hollow creatures which were found in the hollow
Great Video 👍
What was the video of the wretches taking from looked so realistic
Did you know that the rock worm in gears of war 2 was sensitive on his rare end thet if you shoot him here he will walk faster to escape
Time to bust out the popcorn
My guy omg this is fucking awesome!!! Nobody like you brother. Keep ‘em coming! 💙💪🏼
Thank you bro that really means a lot! 💙
I like to think that general raam befriended the kryll during his childhood
The siege beast looks like a seeder without a secondary mouth maybe the seige beast is a seeder variant
41:45 my favorite level was killing the rift worm from the inside
A good what if episode would be if the lambant wouldn’t be able to infect things, meaning E day would never happen (maybe) and the locust would live in…peace?
There would be no locusts
@@xeltransusanoo I didn’t think abt that one
There would be locus', rust lung would still exist, just not turn things into mond controled zombies@@xeltransusanoo
how were those clips of the locust serapedes fighting the humans made? are those mods?
Bro, what game allows you to play as a cerapede? Please tell me
Gears of war 3 beast mode
Judgement
So when a riftworm poops you can Harvest that for resources and no one ever discovered these creatures before the Locust emerged
21:04 couldve easily taken him out but flies away
❤️❤️
What game was that for the tickers ? Can anyone help
Yes it just started like 5 minutes ago
Gears 2 was the best hands down
17:00 I am sorry but that brumack concept art is so much better then the one in the game
Than*
I miss the creatures from the hollow
So does this mean all locust creatures are also descendants of the kids who were immune to imulsion and thats why we never see them again after gears 3 because we see the brumaks die, but never reavers, never tickers, never wretches.
No we just flooded the inner and outer hollow, they probably exist but almost extinct
I feel like a mutated blood mount is a carrier
I think the corpsers turned in snachers and bloodmounts turned in to pouncers
12:17
When you have 1197 words for a 1200 word document.
Only see this video now Great job some effort out of you in fairness
Thank you brother!
The reavers could just be lean versions of the gas barges like if they leave baby reavers out in the wild the will eat and eat untill they litrally swell up
Ukkon was the real mvp for the locust
borderlands but on Sera 😳
26:51 I wonder why an acid spit wasn't considered as a Giant Serapede's second ability?
What happened to them after gears of war 3?
Qrill = flying pirhanas
Man they look weird without armorand weapons
You didn’t have to show Tai dying 🤧 that was a big hurt piece
I thought the siege beasts were just repurposed Seeders tho
Will you do a movie about the swarm and scions?
I will do lore videos on the swarm soon too! Based on all the lore and info we have so far, if there’s enough lore on them to turn into a movie then I will do that :)
Stay tuned!!
@@KingAbzTV awesome
Why weren't the heart leached in the game ?
Wait what’s the difference between a normal human and a gear
A lot. The humans in Gears live on a world called Sera. Sera is not a colonized world like in Halo or Mass Effect, instead, its the world the people and creatures come from. Basically it's earth but much much different. Back to your question. The difference between a gear and normal human is the sheer amount of bulk that an average gear displays. A normal human would look like any average Joe here on earth. Not too tall, nor too weak. Here's when things start looking different. A long standing theory concerning why the people are so huge comes from the fact that Sera is not Earth. Meaning, that humans as a whole evolved slightly differently than how real life humans did. Since Sera is a naturally hostile and unforgiving place by it's own nature, the humans of Sera evolved to be much more muscular in order to compete with what else was living on the surface at that point. If the Hollows critters were deadly than imagine what other creatures lived on the surface at that time as well. Hopefully this long-winded explanation answers your question.
@@nikosc97 and here I am thinking they were modified like space Marines
Thank god they were diverse otherwise the creatures would of been cancelled.
Hey how do I buy a monkey dog.
Great video and...
Ticker lives matter lol
Tickers lives do indeed matter
Which Gears of war is this
Swarm lore is fan fictiony cringe. Og gears trilogy lore is so epic and coherent
If the helmets control the bloodmounts why dont they run wild when you shoot them off
Gameplay reasons obviously
great video but you seem to repeat the same point in a few instances
Thank you, and thank you for the feedback.
Most of this vid was many lore videos clustered together to create a movie. I chopped up any repeated info but may have missed a few, sorry!
What about Berserkers?
They aren’t hollow creatures, they are locust.
I love clay Gears of War I win
I feel like the Hollow creatures are still out there
Fun fact: with the Seeder the mouth is underground and the Nemacyst is coming out of its anus
Like your channel but you repeat a lot in different videos
Thanks for the feedback Ivan, my videos has improved since the older ones, but this lore movie had many previous videos in it so there may be some repeated info
Ukon is such a stupid character. This experiment garbage lore is lame
