Summary💡 Avoid needing constant spoonfeeding by instructors and instead learn to Google solutions to problems. Don't defer difficult topics like JavaScript logic; spend time on the core logic used in real-world development. Avoid spending too much time on details like CSS gradients or Express server intricacies; focus on the core logic that takes up most of the development time. Practice coding yourself instead of just following along with tutorials. Learn to Google and use AI to find solutions to problems; don't rely on others for help. Don't rely solely on a single video, course, or instructor; diversify your learning resources. Add blind spots to your learning journey to challenge yourself and improve your memory of syntax and concepts. Consistent practice is key to becoming a good developer; coding the same application multiple times helps solidify understanding.
just watch the express hospital server vid. it blew my mind, got me a lot interested. coding it myself was even more interesting. i never ask a TA. i think i am the lazy one who doesnt want to read an article. helped me a lot
00:01 Avoid being dependent on spoonfeeding in coding 01:15 Focus on learning main application logic. 02:21 Focus on understanding the first three lines and not just the thousand lines of code. 03:25 Focus on writing real core logic for applications. 04:28 Practice coding yourself to enhance learning. 05:33 Learn how to Google and solve problems independently. 06:42 Decentralize your learning and code yourself for effective learning. 07:47 Memorize syntax and code yourself to become a better programmer.
Correction: Focus on understanding not the first three lines but the thousand lines of code because that is where the main business/application logic is.
What all u hv mentioned is really a good conclusion of why people don't get into coding properly or get good at it. It would have been more amazing if u talked about how to handle these situations a little more. Like how actually to get an overview of the "Difficult bit" how much is needed to be skip and how much pre-requesits to be followed. And I believe a lot of people don't google because sometimes they don't know how to google for a particular issue, which is solved by an AI up to some context.
Really liked the first 3 points. There is always a disadvantage of being too curious about something. When I first began my journey in Web Development, after coving CSS I used to see lots of mini CSS tutorials all over youtube and those tutorials were really beautiful and difficult to come up with on your own. During those times I used to feel I will never be able to become a developer if I do not know how to make such beautiful designs with CSS but over the course of time I realised that I do need to learn about CSS in so much depth 'yet'. Similar case happens when using library or any programming concept/tool. How does it work under the hood? But just because I am curious and I want to know that does not mean I need to know everything right now. FIrst learrn basic and essential stuff that makes you a developer and after that try to explore things that makes you curious.
The only coder I know that was specifically fired was fired because his code was very sloppy and it reached a point he had a QA guy attached that had to regress-test every update and worse, sat with him and told him how to fix the bugs by line like "please change the if condition on line xyz to this one"
I can't put in words how much u helped me man with this video, i was surfing yt in incognito and wasting time (while i actually sat down to learn development only 🙃)i just came to comment that idk how to say this but u were a eyeopener( although these are the things people have been saying to me ) but idk y just i was not listening to anyone, all the things u said were like as if they were said for me, i cant believe i am also like this, i fr have been stuck in html css part only for the past 3 months, just trying to be perfect in everything and not touching the further bits of js, i hv wasted so much time. thanks
Good video… people need to be told truths like that. Only way to get good at something is to keep doing it yourself. Monkey see money do is never gonna make you good at something.

Anyone could learn CSS/animation in a few weeks but a thorough understanding of CSS takes close to 9 months to a year if not more. By then even applying advanced concepts becomes second nature. As a freelancer writing the most elegant logic is meaningless if you're unable to display it effectively.

Learn what you need, seems like terrible advice imo. As a software engineer you never know what you might really need down the road. I see a lot of fad regarding directly learning frameworks skipping over the core language concepts. Every tech stack (or their dependencies) have footguns, which if not being aware of (or skipping) can bite you later on. In the express example, defining routes and implementing business logic is the easy part. What about the middleware, what if the UI requires CORs related header? Or authorization logic. Sure these things can be learned on the job, but if lacking in plain awareness of what may be wrong, can bite you or make you waste hours. For example, quire recently I had to deal with cached responses from NextJS app router. Which took a really long time to drill down, cause we were not aware that it by default will cache the GET calls.
you inspire me if you help junior developers and people who want to enter in the field of software ENGINEER BY GUIDING US WITH YOUR KNOWLEGDE AND YOUR EXPERIENCE ,NOW THIS YEAR IS REALLY HARD TO ENTER IN THIS FIELD BECAUSE OF MANY TECH LAYOFFS WHICH SHOULD STOP NOW BECAUSE IT JUST SCARES PEOPLE,ME IM TRYING TO ENTER THIS FIELD BECAUSE OF MONEY IM A PROFESSIONAL CHEF WITH 20 YEARS EXPERIENCE AND WANT TO ENTER THIS FIELD BECAUSE I WANT MORE MONEY AND BETTER LIFE AND ALSO BECAUSE OF SOMEONE I LOVE THAT PUSHED ME TO LEVEL UP AND THIS IS THE ONLY OPPORTUNITY I KNOW ,I KNOW ITS HARD AND STRESSFUL AND I KNOW THAT LIFE BECAUSE OF MY RECENT WORK BUT I HATE BEING POOR IN THE EYES OF MY LOVE ONE AND I REALLY HAVE TO CHANGE THIS

Good video and well done with getting over 100k views. I work in a bank and am part of a large scale digital project. The one gap I see is coders don’t understand software engineering. I’d rather a programmer think about a solution and give a robust solution with little bugs that someone who develops quickly but is buggy and no proper structure. I watched Jack Heringtons No BS TS when I started with typescript 2 years ago. Good resource .
Summary - 1) Decide and stay focused if u really want to code, 2) Kiss the ugly frog first deal with difficult part of learning than delaying it, 3) Spent time writing code so its easy for u to understand, 4) Learn to use smart extensions of AI tools or Google to solve the issue by urself, 5) Follow right people, mentor to steep learning curve.
I think many of the things that u mentioned are true for any student regardless of the subject. It's like a success formate for any branch. I am not a coder, but I find similarities with my studying.
First comment was Hillarious 😅. He said that company paying 80k per month and employee is angry about not teaching him how to set gradient😂😂. Bhut Chutiya baat kr di sir.

what he meant was, "thoda dimaag lagao, aur important chizo pr focus karo"

Summary - 1) Decide and stay focused if u really want to code, 2) Kiss the ugly frog first deal with difficult part of learning than delaying it, 3) Spent time writing code so its easy for u to understand, 4) Learn to use smart extensions of AI tools or Google to solve the issue by urself, 5) Follow right people, mentor to steep learning curve.
I think many of the things that u mentioned are true for any student regardless of the subject. It's like a success formate for any branch. I am not a coder, but I find similarities with my studying.

Hi harkirat, requesting you to launch a web3 bootcamp, the way you have launched the MERN stack 0-100.
I have had a very strange experience with a guy who was extremely motivated to learn to code. Extremely.
In fact he was doing a course in one of our technical schools here in Trinidad.
However he was a dunce and after doing his homework for the third time I stopped helping him
You can't be a labourer by seeing some other labour to do his labour 😂😂😂😂
Trying to build project using Javascript cant remember the next step and i have watch videos and then built the projects 🙌🙌
Harkirat comparing CSS and JS is the shallowest comparison
You are a labourer at end doing "can be automated tasks" or writing code most of the times which can written by AI - well said.
Thank you big bro labour to teach your juniors labour...😅
