Sonic Villains: A Sonic Fanfilm is an action-packed 2D animated feature film of MULTIVERSAL proportions for the whole family!! Sucks since Scourge specifically was thought up by Ian Flynn and Spaz, essentially making Evil Sonic into a new character. And Chicken Penders still thinks he owns Scourge…

Anti-Penders Beam is a pretty good name. I call it “The Pendering”.
I can only imagine how crushed Scourge’s self worth would be knowing that at the height of his fame him and his dimension were rewritten out of existence by the cosmos itself.

I like how you guys actually showed Scourge murdering his Dad with him Spin dashing him to shreds. It really shows why Scourge would probably cry about that in the issue where he and Jules spoke to one another. It was probably in the heat of the moment sort of thing for him
See, when I read that issue, I took Scourge crying as the fact that Jules called him out and broke down how pathetic he was in a matter of seconds and then pointed out that he couldn't do anything about because of what that verses Sonic would do if Scourge killed his father in retaliation. But your take is really interesting too!

@@comicscinemaothermedia9247 Mammoth Mogul is one of my favorive villians from Archie verse and while I was a little upset/sad he was moving to backstage I did nod because it was the only smart play left.
Its even more hilarious that in whatever future hell Silver has to suffer in Mogul went good and regretted not acting when he could because he was up his own ass.

I really love the little details in this. The censor sound effect, the little explosion effect when Scourge cracks his knuckles, the reflections in Scourge's eyes. Its a fantastic Spiderverse style intro, and Scourge's voice and the animation are incredible!
The Flynn Run version of Scourge was really intresting because it took an after thought of Pender's for a gag comic and broke it down and actually discussed the morality, psychology, ideology, and conept of the character. Showing not just what Scourge was but also what Sonic isn't by default.
Giving Scourge an entire spiderverse “let’s do this one last time” recap is surprisingly fitting for him as well as entertaining. I hope we get some more of these for the other villains.🤣

He’s literally an Alternate Universe Sonic, so yeah
I always love this when it comes to evil multiversal twins. Whether if it's Negaduck to Darkwing Duck, Ultraman to Superman or Scourge to Sonic, when they realize that they are alone in a multiverse of "good versions"... You may not like the evil twin, but you can definitely understand why the realization that all your counterparts lead happier lives would feel like having a hammer constantly bashing down on your self-worth. Would you give up your individuality to try and become "part of the good guy club".. Or do you, in true villain fashion, double down and try to differentiate yourself further from the status quo? The realization that no matter how big or powerful you become, you'll never be able to displace the "good versions" that outnumber you... That's the kind of stuff I love to see when we deal with evil twins from mirror earths.

Or Lord Drakkon from Power Rangers! Drakkon is a pretty good example of this, it KILLED him to realize that in a multiverse of Tommy Olivers Who've been on the wrong path at some point, he's the only one who STAYED bad.
Shattered Grid did a fantastic job of elaborating his outrage and pain over realizing that while every version of Tommy Oliver has been used for evil at some point, he's the only one who was really and truly evil, and he went on to murder two of his alternate selves!!!
One of the most interesting versions of that I've seen is the comic version of Owlman.
He discovered that, while there are infinite Batmen, there is only ever one Owlman in the DC multiverse at any given time.
And he REVELS in it. Because in his eyes, he isnt "Batman but evil", he's THE Evil Batman, the darkest reflection of the Dark Knight.
He isn't the inferior knockoff. All other evil alternate Batmen are inferior knockoffs of HIM.

Dang, you got everything down pat, the reboot screwing up Scourge’s plans, Locke and Rouge being present for his transformation, even the more exaggerated facial expressions that are common in Archie Sonic’s art-style.
The only thing I will say is that he and his crew kinda left on bad terms aka they literally betrayed him so why would they save him but other then that this is fire

The Destructix - Mammoth Mogul’s crew - and Fiona were the ones to break Scourge out of prison, not the Anti-Freedom Fighters.

The voice actor for Scourge feels very very very fitting. I love it. And Scourge's introduction feels much like a spider verse introduction which as we know are fire so this is fire. Great work

You know, for a moment I forgot Scourge doesn't have a canon voice. So I was like "wow, that sounds just like the original!"
This made me kinda like Scourge, instead of being indiferrent about him.

Yeah unfortunately the Megaman crossover had the Super Genesis Wave which literally rewrote everything and essentially removed Scourge from existence (dropping his revenge plot) “by accident” so comic book fans never figured out what happened actually to him. Though it’s neat that this movie is essentially connecting everything and will probably give him so form of closure.

Scourge is pretty much a testament to the idea that even If real-world legal complications force the fictional world to change; some things are never truly forgotten; stand the test of time.
But Scourge, despite all his prestige, all his arrogance and "support", still stands alone as a green blight in a cosmic sea of blue heroes.....or at least, used to. Now, he's on even ground. His world is gone. His allies are gone. Were it not for Rosy, he would be all alone again. He knows that there are vastly different iterations of the Sonic Universe out there. So few compared to what was known before.
Reminds me of why I am gonna be a part of this fandom for years to come. It isn't often a fan film gets this much love and support, let alone a rating from the MPAA. Goes to show that Sonic has more appeal than ever before, and thousands of fans that can come together to make something truly memorable

For me, it’s the fact that his development was cut short due to events outside of the comic so what happens or what was supposed to happen is unknown to the readers.

Doflamingo, with his menacing smile and strings of control, unleashed his Devil Fruit powers. His strings danced through the air, aiming to ensnare Scourge and bring him under his control. But Scourge, with his lightning-fast speed and cunning, evaded the strings with ease.
Scourge retaliated, using his incredible speed to launch a barrage of attacks. He darted around Doflamingo, striking with precision and agility. Doflamingo tried to defend himself, but Scourge's speed was unmatched.
As the battle raged on, the clash of powers created shockwaves that shook the very ground they stood on. Each blow exchanged between them was a testament to their strength and determination. The clash of their abilities created a spectacle that drew the attention of onlookers from far and wide.
In a stunning display of power, Doflamingo unleashed his ultimate attack, creating a web of strings that threatened to ensnare Scourge completely. But Scourge, fueled by his determination to protect his dimension, tapped into his hidden potential.
With a burst of energy, Scourge transformed into his Super Scourge form, radiating an aura of pure power. He tore through Doflamingo's strings with ease and delivered a devastating blow that sent Doflamingo crashing to the ground.
Victorious, Scourge stood tall, his dimension saved from the clutches of Doflamingo's control. The battle had been fierce, but Scourge's determination and speed had prevailed.
And so, the tale of the clash between Doflamingo and Scourge became a legend, a story that would be passed down through the dimensions, reminding all of the power of courage and the strength to protect what is dear.
I love the Into the Spider-Verse style of this short. Poor Scourge really got messed up by the Penders lawsuits nuking his entire universe from orbit. (I wonder how he feels about Penders trying to license him out to another company and then his book getting cancelled within a week? Probably he has no polite words whatsoever.)

As a Rosy VA my buddy who voices Scourge is no doubt one of my closets and kindest friends! The irony is the second the cameras turn on we gotta pretend we wanna tear each other apart 😂 I always loved the antis and they’re my favorite villains

This looks astonishing! I love how it's not just copying what worked in Spider-Verse, but puts a lot of its own personality into the narration. The music bangs, the voice is spot on, gosh the attitude is so cool! The art is insane! And it's doing something creative, shifting the focus from the regular Sonic point of view to something else entirely in its vibe. Wow this is cool, WOW this is cool!

Dude this is SOOO COOOL!! I love this characterization of scourge. I feel like a lot of the Archie characters had so much more personality than a lot of other sonic media around it. makes me even more sad that we most likely wont ever see them again.

Scourge was my favorite character from Archie Sonic. It always sucked how unceremoniously he was written out, especially because Penders wasn't even responsible for the character taking off the way he did.

I like how he's acting like the power up made him immediately better than everyone, instead of him instantly failing a 1v2 against Sonic and Shadow. That's something Scourge would do.
I mean this is the same scourge that fought the freedom fighters,the suppression squad,AND sonic all at the same time and managed to hold his own so he may just very well be the best

@@johnnygyro2295 I think he won the first time all of them clashed,he tied against the suppression squad and freedom fighters AND sonic,he won in the invasion against sonic,and his fight with sonic and shadow at the castle was stopped because multiple other characters showed up including silver and stopped the fight

Man, I can’t wait for this project to be finished! For as much flak as the Archie comics got, some of it is deserved, they did have some interesting concepts especially Scourge. I really love how you introduced him in a spider-verse style intro. You even put in the genesis wave that essentially killed off a lot of Archie characters. I can’t wait what’s in store for this project. Hope for the best for you and the team working on this!

It takes place post Genesis wave in an altered version of Mobius where the Freedom fighters win but become a tyrannical police state under the rule of substitute Freedom Fighter/council member Hamlin Pig. There the Destructix end up becoming hired guns for a rogue Shadow android turned mob boss named Opaque, where he operates a warp ring smuggling industry. They end up doing stuff like heists, territory disputes, assassinations, and causing unrest for Hamlin while evading the feds, even if it's not always a success. Plan A is Scourge as the main character while plan B is Fiona in case Ken Penders gets risen up over it
Oh, and one more thing... A question: "Why stop at a multiverse? Heck, why stop at the OMNIVERSE? Wouldn't you like to go even bigger?"
Once all of the Sonics are taken care of, I’m sure Scourge will go beyond the Sonic-verse.
Well, me and my friend exist beyond the Omniverse, so he would need quite a bit of power to get here.
@@Baconboi1972 I wouldn’t bet on it. If Sonic can achieve plenty of elevated forms, then Scourge can also experiment with chaotic energies. Keep in mind that this particular anti-Sonic is a dark reflection of ARCHIE Sonic.

It really is too bad Scourge’s story was cut short along with several other possible ideas only hinted at from the Sonic Comic Encyclopedia (yeah that was a thing lol). Looking forward to seeing more of him and the other villains backstories.

Spider-verse style intro for an arrogant jackass whose backstory hinges on the multiverse is absolutely perfect.
This looks amazing! My only problem with it is that it feels like there’s a lot of sound effects missing and it kind of ruins the immersion. Stuff like the comic book making no sound feels weird. I only assume it’s because it’s still not finished. Keep up the good work!

It’s a nice start of Scourge The Hedgehog story being an Anti clone to King 👑. He’s honestly my favorite of the Sonic Archie Comics villains because he’s a prime example of being a “BADASS KING” Respect him.
