This is a BS story: every member in that camping trip needs to be investigated by civilian investigators. The military is great with hiding the truth just not to discredit its own image. Soon enough, each of those members will be given reassignment orders overseas to separate and close the investigation. Civilian investigators can’t enter military bases nor can they ask where they have been reassigned. They just disappear.

There has been fellow soldier on soldier killings since forever. I mean the "practice" goes back decades if not generations, all one has to do is a slight google search in digitized news articles from the past 50 plus years and see it's nothing new. Doesn't take away the horror of it or lessens the victims in anyway, it just is what it is. There has been an uptick in gang connected violence but that's just because gangs are a relative new thing in comparison to the US military as an institution. (I am NOT saying this was gang related, just pointing out the differences of military crime per generation) Most folks who join the military do so out of no other options in terms of career choices and/or life choices, lower/working class people are more exposed to gangs and gang life than their upper class/high suburban counterparts who are more likely to tend a high end university than military anyway. There is murder and violence from every class, it's just seems to be more gang related fuckery and other illegal activity in the military today then there was 40 years ago.

The police will be investigating his “friends” anyway if he was telling the truth, the detectives have to investigate all possible suspects no matter who they are. Even the family. And if they aren’t investigating then they aren’t doing they’re jobs.
I just read the autopsy report and did a little digging. His “friends” knew he was missing since the morning and came across park rangers but didn’t mention anybody missing and they finally reported him missing at 7:30pm. One of them also mentioned they were afraid he had hurt himself because he had suicidal tendencies..Trying to make it seem like he probably vanished in the ocean. There was no body found only a decapitated head, which autopsy report could not have been caused by a boat or shark. Ruled it a homicide because his jaw was broken and eyes were missing 😢 I get the chills just thinking it was probably the guys he was with.. their story has so many inconsistencies

Hate crimes especially are two or three actively involved. And one of these campers was female, which is not to say the ladies aren't capable, but it would seem to lower the chance of a group ambush. Any good lawyer would shrug off the time comment. These are people trained to note the time on all kinds of forms and in exercises and combat. But there is one, maybe two involved in some revenge or perceived slight. And if so, the woman is the main pivot of it all. Just a guess.

You're more likely to die from a deployment though, and if you're that afraid, then you can join the Coast Guard, or Peace Corps. Don't make the mistake of thinking media exposure equals total numbers or per-capita incidents.

@zion_don1 I will say if you kill a stranger, you usually don't dismember the body. since nobody knows that they are with you, you don't need to hide the body for longer than you need to get out of the area. Dismembering takes time and every second you are with the body is another second to get caught. if people know you were with him, dismembering makes sense. If the body disappears, you can pretend they just must have walked off. ...but it doesn't make sense to dismember a random stranger.

There has been fellow soldier on soldier killings since forever. I mean the "practice" goes back decades if not generations, all one has to do is a slight google search in digitized news articles from the past 50 plus years and see it's nothing new.
Doesn't take away the horror of it or lessens the victims in anyway, it just is what it is. There has been an uptick in gang connected violence but that's just because gangs are a relative new thing in comparison to the US military as an institution. (I am NOT saying this was gang related, just pointing out the differences of military crime per generation)
Most folks who join the military do so out of no other options in terms of career choices and/or life choices, lower/working class people are more exposed to gangs and gang life than their upper class/high suburban counterparts who are more likely to tend a high end university than military anyway. There is murder and violence from every class, it's just seems to be more gang related fuckery and other illegal activity in the military today then there was 40 years ago.

I just read the autopsy report and did a little digging. His “friends” knew he was missing since the morning and came across park rangers but didn’t mention anybody missing and they finally reported him missing at 7:30pm. One of them also mentioned they were afraid he had hurt himself because he had suicidal tendencies..Trying to make it seem like he probably vanished in the ocean. There was no body found only a decapitated head, which autopsy report could not have been caused by a boat or shark. Ruled it a homicide because his jaw was broken and eyes were missing 😢 I get the chills just thinking it was probably the guys he was with.. their story has so many inconsistencies

@zion_don1 I will say if you kill a stranger, you usually don't dismember the body. since nobody knows that they are with you, you don't need to hide the body for longer than you need to get out of the area. Dismembering takes time and every second you are with the body is another second to get caught.
