Over 770 raving comments for 4 hours of no lyric, freeform, acid washed jamming. My faith in humanity is restored.
Over 990 raving comments now. Your faith in this huge manatee is even more restored.
Amen 🙏
Pffff, if you really think that i'm going to listen to 4 hours of *this,* then you're absolutely correct.
my thoughts exactly haha
Word...
Underrated comment. :-D
.. just go for peter*s birthday 1:54:39 .. starts with a huhh
a lot of it is really boring or just kinda bad. the other half is great though.

@Wild Eye Pastiche: a work of visual art, literature, theater, or music that imitates the style or character of the work of one or more other artists. Origin: French "pastiche", a cognate of Italian "pasticcio": a pâté of diverse ingredients. Unlike parody -- a spoof, a send-up, a take-off, a lampoon, a caricature, a joke -- pastiche celebrates, rather than mocks, the work it imitates.
That feeling when you've always said to yourself, "I wish my favorite jamband / psych rock band would stop recording traditional albums and just release their jam sessions as albums," and now you've found exactly what you're looking for.
SO TRUE
Idk what you been listening for but there's a lot of groups who played like this back in the 70s: Eletric Moon, Focus, Traffic, Camel, Jeff Beck, King Crimson, Chicago to name few
@@givdb5513 its allright man, every path is nice
(Shameless Plug) We gonna do something similar soon ;)
Krautrock band 'Electric Sandwich' is great too! As many 'krautrock' bands are!
BRAIN RECORDS (and many more) is one of the fantastic labels who put out this great genre!
PS: This sounds a little bit like the RESTONED..
4 hours?? ain't got time for that.
*3h53m later*
wait what
lmao, I normally put it on late night while i'm doing things before bed. turn it down a little hop in the sack still listening. Wake at 2:00am still listening. Some great jams here.

You guys were the original hippies man.. y’all are cool
Everyone knows you're not that old.
And my 22 year old nerves 😅
It's like when I was in college in the early 80's & lived communally in an old house with a bunch of hippies trying to be a Grateful Dead cover band. I'd be upstairs studying while they rehearsed in the living room. I'd be like "Hey guys, can you stop trying to learn "Eyes of the World" over & over, & just go back to those Kickass freeform jams that go on for hours?" "Maaaannnnn, we can't earn any Cocaine money if we don't learn any songs. The frat boys will throw drinks in our face if we don't play songs!"
this just saved my acid trip
Haha Electric octopus has done this many of times for me
Ahh substances
go listern to tanerine dream for good trip
🤣🤣, this call make my day!!! 🤙
same ghaghaa
My 6 year old daughter came up with a visual while listening to this...
"I see an Octopus playing 4 instruments, keyboard, drums, guitar and bass... The head of the octopus has lightning effects within and its tentacles are see through but flash bright colours, all the colours of the rainbow and in time with the music! " Love that. Love this music so damn much. Love the fact its instrumental allows personalised visuals and feels... Yet the music beautifully teases, guides and takes you... Such a fresh breath of air yet music like they used to make it! Frickin groovy and transcending... From me and my daughter, thank you ❤️
Awesome sir!!!!☆☆☆☆☆
Your 6 year old reminds me of me at that age. When I was little and used to hear the song, 'Albatross', I used to see Seahorses in my mind and imagine the tune was for them. Strange, yet so well thought, as of course, the connection with the sea.
Cool 6 year old 😎
Got to love how once in awhile UA-cam recommends something very random and it's exactly what I didn't know I needed.
Same ......
I don't care what anyone says... these jams saved my soul today ;)
This is one of the best albums to put on when its past midnight but you and the homies deep conversation got another 3 hours and you just sparked a joint because life is good

This randomly started playing on autoplay as I'm at work. I didn't really notice til I had to ask myself why I was dancing in my desk chair 💃 Hell yeah! This is legit!
I'm gonna call it. This is the best 4 hour long album ever.
Easily the longest thing I ever listened to except for a couple of classical pieces like JS Bach.
I love that I can put this on and trust that it's going to be 4 straight hours of good music playing while I do my stuff
no
Through the years, there has always been a very intense murder competition between bands to release the best 4 hour album ever....it's a tough world out there.
I agree with you bro
how music should be, fresh, new, evolving, and above all , free. magic of the moment!
How Life should be!
Ironically, this is great music to put while working for the Man
I Always play these guys at work. Actualy Makes work a little relaxing

Blasting this at the front check in desk this very minute!
When I saw this authentic looking hippie/psychedelic era photography, I clicked because I could tell that this album could be great. TBH, I have never heard of Electric Octopus, but it's a cool name. Cephalopod rock.
It's been a very long time since I listened to an LP this long that was effortlessly enjoyable. Thank you for uploading this great piece of experimental music. I'm having a very hard time experiencing a sense of community at a time when hostility and prejudice seems to be the unofficial rules of engagement. Sad.
But there's always music. ❤️🎼🎸

Increíble esto tan bonito que escribiste gracias a la música , y es totalmente cierto siempre va a estar ella. Espero todo marche mucho mejor

@@BroderickMcGarvey Thank you. That means a lot! 😍
I'm late to the party, but there are good people out there. There are a ton of shitters though, and sometimes it's hard to stay positive through it all. Hopefully you can find joy in whatever you like doing and whoever you're with.
I have known the jam for a couple of years already and could not listen to it for a whole year because I chose it as music during bringing home my old cat eternally...good to be able to enjoy it again.
Just one of those things you just join, not knowing exactly why but you just close your eyes and join
And before you know it,you’re hearing a picture
this album has literally saved my life
How?
You know its a good album when you look down and realize youve been listening to one video 3 hours already
Why is UA-cam the best place to find new music. This is good shit
You guys are so amazingly talented. I can hear Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green practically everyone who’s ever played amazing guitar and you guys bring every bit of it together. That’s crazy. Dude I pity da foo' who gives this a thumb down. "Groove Appreciation Deficiency" is y'all's diagnosis. The prognosis, however, depends on whether or not you can DIG IT!!
I loved it. They can make it in the neo-psychedelic era. From the album cover i really like the person with the curly hair, because he looks a lot like me.
man, 5 years have gone by since I first heard this and as time has passed I appreciate it more and more, wish I could jam with these guys, you know?

H everyone of Electric Octopus and all listeners around the world! very good music, music very good !
I work as an analyst, and this has literally carried my focus this afternoon. Thanks so much for this beautiful music. (Fighting the good fight on the inside.)
Coming from someone who primarily doesn't listen to this type of music often, this is a VIBE
No real need to get stoned to appreciate this music. Much simply has that kind of has that wistful melancholy daydreams vibe to it where you just want to space out and chill out. It's like blues and acid-rock without the lyrics.
I just had to get stoned to dig it but, once high, it allowed me to dig infinity by 703%
Maybe this wonderful album combined elements blues soft rock using a minimalist sound base?! Thanks Electric Octopus The Bong Druid of Mammoth Mountain Google and You Tube! With boundless respect to the Music of Earthly World!
GOD BLESS THESE GENTLEMEN!

So rediscovering Real progresive music ,it's a blessed founding,thanks a lot!😂
I love this kind of music I used to "trip" in the late 80's and early 90's and this would have suited that vibe. I confess that my mind was never fully accustomed to cannabis/weed might be because I opened a few wrong doors or right ones depending on what way we look at it. Having said that I remember at least 3 sessions where I was so stoned beyond the point of rescue and these delicious sounds would have eased the ride somewhat.
There are some very "Herbie Hancock meets the Blues" moments going on here and even some sprinkles of mindless Syd Barrett seeping through.
"tripped" on weed? Lol
@@Boognish_
Some do.
Sometimes..for some people...bit of ganga can be like a bad tab of acid
Imagine a concert like this.
i like to play this while im baking, very relaxing!
I work on restoring vintage cars, very nice hands on work too... But, wrestling the attitudes of a few people who want instant results at no cost with no thought of the the design and craft required to make a 90 year old machine as reliable as new (!?), makes me think twice... And then Electric Octopus settle into my earphones and all is good for 3hrs 53 minutes with the machine at hand! Thank you so much!
Preaching the ways of the Mighty Electric Octopus to anyone I deem enlightened enough to deserve this!

Had stressful periods of studying, work and personal growth in the last 7 years and have finally come to a crossroad where I feel immensely well after some harsh days. Not to get into details, I have my stuff sorted out and can have some days off where I feel like so much is off my chest which is unbelievable as I never thought this would happen any time soon. Well enough I will photograph this band on Friday and see them play in Innsbruck. I can only say that they are at the pinnacle of this development I have had as I feel fine on the couch with some wine and no troubles on my mind. Thank you! Best wishes, Alex

Go find yourself a nicee fat doobie and relax. LIfe is too short for clinging to all that hate.
Aylbdr Madison twat !!
oh yeah, i didn't like the band at all. They were stoned out of their minds and jammed for 4 hours straight after a 1 1/2 hour warm up.
I mean you can certainly enjoy them if you are too, stoned out of your mind. and let yourself into this mindset. For me it was just 3 guys repeating nonsense for an elongated time (guitarist was playing a wah-pedal for 50 minutes without a change).
I see that people like this music to zone out, but I felt as if I was lost in a sea of zombies that were praying towards mediocrity.
The place was packed and all, but damn, it was boring.

That's what I needed for my long work sessions! Specially useful when I'm reading because bands with singers create interferences in my ADHD brain. Thanks for existing.

the first song sounds like no quarter by zeppelin at times, so cool!! this album is already killing it!! 🤘🏻
Sometimes sounds just let you relax and flow. Jangled nerves need some relief, especially now. Seems to match the extensive isolation and boredom we all have to endure, but continues to let us know there is a tomorrow, even if it is a lot like today. Touches the mind and occasionally the soul. You got anything better to do? Feel free to go somewhere else....
This is pretty cool. Finally youtube's algo hooks me up with something I actually needed to hear.
The thumbs down people were so frickin stoned they misjudged the thumb. Most didn't notice, the others were tooo high to be arsed to change it and the rest, obviously not stoners 😂👍🏻👍🏻 Because this is the best music I've heard since CAN, Pink Floyd and BJM 🎶❤️

This is my good night sleeping music. I turn the TV off and blast the 3hr n change and I sleep like a baby ! THX for uploading this magical trip. It's been on repeat for almost a week.
That hubcap is a vortex of pure 90s-ness.
Random gold mine! First the name of the channel intrigued me then i saw the album title. First off epic band name! Second epic album name! And i can groove and feel the shit without tripping. Im excited to trip again. Got a whole album to listen to and intoxicate in the jams.
I've just been "shocked" by Electric Octopus, and it feels like home.
You fucking know that 💜🧠
Im normally not a jam band guy. But I'm loving this album.
What’s your fav kind of music
Same, but this hits right.
Same here, but to me this isn't necessarily "jam band"; it's four hours of groove with a splash of funk and some soul for flavor with just the right amount of smooth. Bands like the Grateful Dead are jam bands who don't know when to finish a song; these guys--this set anyway--seamlessly transition over 4ish hours without being repetitive or boring.
Danke dir Du All-go-rythmus . Es war mir eine Freude, diese Musik kennengelernt zu haben. Zeitlos.
Damn, I'm glad this one popped up somehow. Right on!
I was skeptical... at first.. now i believe this album is truly worth every step, moment, and bit of energy it took to experience this album. This album is fire as oll heck swear on my right butt
