- All Aboard the Yorkshire Express goes behind the scenes at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway; taking us back in time to the golden age of steam. This year they're celebrating their fiftieth anniversary and we join them as they welcome coach trips, wedding parties and train spotters alike in what they hope will be the railway's busiest year yet.

Only television production could make a train totally dramatic and chaotic 😊😂🤣🤣🤣
Only "British" TV

Question for anyone watchjing these who saw them when on channel 5. Do these version have more in them that were cut from the TV version as each episode has bit I can't remember on TV or 5 on Demand?
@Orion Was wondering if something like that the ads cut out the footage.
Was this taking during the 2018 season please
This was such a wonderful video. I wish there where a bit more of these types of videos up.
Fantastic upload thank you
Awesome Video Thanks
Why is the engine sometimes on backwards?
Because of the way the track is set out there isn't anywhere except pickering where they can turn the train the right way round so when they get to the station they run it round and stick it on backwards.
@@wilfbm9067 Thanks for the info!
@@wilfbm9067 There is no turn around facility at Pickering, although double track and points means the engine can move from the back to the front of the carriages! For the engine to be always facing the right way one needs a turntable!
@@Myrddin1955 there is a turntable at pickering engine shed
@@wilfbm9067 You are correct, but it isnt used by the bigger trains (for whatever reason) hence the running of reversed trains. Stand to be corrected but never seen it used on my four or five visits!
I love this.
How far is it to prickerwing to Wick?
Watching from the u.s. Ohio 😃 Smitty out 😉
Same! 😂
I would love to see Southern 4501 here on the North YorkShire Moors Railway but I’m afraid that’s only a pipe dream!
Won't fit. Pity.
@@maestromecanico597 why wouldn’t she fit?
@@rudycarlson8245 Typical British railway loading gauge (width) is 9 ft. In America it is 10 ft 8 in. Most American equipment width is in excess of 10 ft. 4501 would trash all of the level loading platforms.
When are you going to do Season 3
These are shown on channel 5 years before this, there was a couple during covid at Christmas I think.
I feel bad, Laura is pretty but they always get her from the most unflattering angle like a slightly behind silhouette in the car.
Was/is there a series 2?
There was 3 series
Yoooo first comment! (Only watching because I’m high asf🤣)
Yes lad
Even better you wrote this twice and edited one.
Never mind, if they had run out of coal there was plenty of gassss available.
The panicky eight recurrently examine because move pragmatically kiss beside a seemly facilities. clear, dangerous sausage
Agreed
i would be scared to ride the run down pile of junk.
Just carry on being a saddo then? I suppose you would prefer a Boeing 737 Max?
@@keithdonnellan5564 I learn every day... I was always under the impression Boeing 737s were planes, I never realized they were trains as well!
What are you scared of?
That it will shake itself to bits?
