Inkobe also known as Mutakura, is a popular Zimbabwean traditional dish usually served as a breakfast meal or as a snack. At its entirety the dish constitutes of 3 ingredients namely; maize kernels, peanuts and roundnuts. In this video uMandiweni shows us how she prepares this special dish straight from the heart of Nyumbane in the town of Matobos. eNyumbane is a rural area that is situated 35 kilometres from the City of Bulawayo.

MaNdiweni’s Method:
Serves: 5
Ingredients (Medium Size Cup)
» 2 Cups of Maize Kernels
» 2 Cups of Peanuts
» 2 Cups of Groundnuts/Roundnuts
How To Cook Inkobe:
1. Pour water in a large pot. Fill the water to the half way mark.
2. Add all the Ingredients all at one.
3. Place on Fire/Stove and cook on medium heat and cook for 4 hours.
4. When the water is about to finish, add two teaspoons of salt.
5. Simmer to low heat for 10mins.
6. Serve with Love.
