I thought I heard something like that once some days after my brother died. Before that I think the day after my brother died I was sitting on the porch and I heard a woman's voice coming from my left side that said, "He's alright Jim." Then I heard in my mind not outside audibly but in thought within, "It's hot in here." And I recognized it to be my brother and had knowing that he will be in Purgatory for a few days. When I first heard the woman's voice before that my father was walking down the hall behind me and had just reached the window behind me and immediately after I heard the woman's voice my father looked out the window and said, "Did you say something" and I said, "no". And he said, "I thought I heard someone's voice." Some days after that when I was alone I thought I could hear just on the edge of perception something that sounded like a countless multitude of voices that sounded perfectly as one voice that made two long tones that went on for quite a while. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I thought maybe it was the refrigerator so I checked but it wasn't. No matter where I looked I could not find the source but noticed it sounded the same anywhere I looked. Some months later my mother came up to me with a woman's shirt that was pink and had the word ,"LOVE" on it in big gold metallic letters that I didn't recall seeing before. She said to me, "Did you stretch this out." And I said, "No I don't recall ever seeing that shirt before." As the shirt was so gigantic that it went down to my knees and was wide enough to fit about two or three of me in it. She told me that it fit her before and was a tiny shirt not like it was at the time she showed it to me. I examined the shirt to see if it was stretched out but the threads and lettering on the front looked normal as far as I could tell. I asked her if she was sure this is the same shirt she thought it was and she said yes and that it fit her good before. My mother is petite and not a giant so this was very unusual.

If Jesus died on the cross for us and our sins , and said the price has been paid , and we go to confession to be forgiven our sins (if we're truly sorry) then what's going on with purgatory ,,,, We hear of people who were very good in life, who kept the commandments, went to church, gave to the poor, loved their neighbors, etc,,,,,, and their in purgatory , and the story about one of the three children who were there when the blessed mother appeared ,,,,, she /the blessed mother said that the boy who was killed has to spend till the end of time in purgatory for his sins ,,,,, what's wrong with this picture ? Where's all this forgiveness we hear about , I'm soppose to forgive people who transgress against me but when I die I'm to be tortured ( possibly till the end of time) for something I might've said, or done in the short lifetime I'm here on earth ,,, things just don't add up in my mind about so many contradictions that makes no sense,,,, this is part of the reason that I'm turned off by Catholicism . Relax. You won't go to purgatory. There's no such place. Heaven yes. Hell yes. Purgatory no. You are saved entirely through the blood of Jesus Christ - His finished work on the cross. The Holy Spirit then in dwells you - despite all your imperfections and continuing sin ( we all sin daily). So think about it - if The Holy Spirit Himself is prepared to dwell within you - even despite your sin - then why would there be somewhere called purgatory- where you go to be "cleansed" of sin when you die? It makes no sense - and like many RC dogmas - it makes Christ's perfect sacrifice " not enough" ..... there's always something "extra" required ....
It is not a matter of you believing something to be real or not. It is a matter of doing what is necessary and real. Purgatory is there because even if we have confessed our sins and had been forgiven, the sins still had spiritual effects on us and on our lives. They still have consequences. If we had not done our penances for our sins to be purified here on earth then we have the chance to do it in purgatory. This is why we have to suffer here on earth. Our time here is not to be happy but to learn to love the way Jesus, Mama Mary and the saints did. We can not go to heaven directly because we are not fully purified of material sins, attachments, things, ideas etc. BEWARE of hippy feel good theology. Jesus is very clear that the gate to heaven is very narrow. IT IS NOT A HIGHWAY WHERE ANYONE CAN ENTER EASILY.

I thought I heard something like that once some days after my brother died. Before that I think the day after my brother died I was sitting on the porch and I heard a woman's voice coming from my left side that said, "He's alright Jim." Then I heard in my mind not outside audibly but in thought within, "It's hot in here." And I recognized it to be my brother and had knowing that he will be in Purgatory for a few days. When I first heard the woman's voice before that my father was walking down the hall behind me and had just reached the window behind me and immediately after I heard the woman's voice my father looked out the window and said, "Did you say something" and I said, "no". And he said, "I thought I heard someone's voice." Some days after that when I was alone I thought I could hear just on the edge of perception something that sounded like a countless multitude of voices that sounded perfectly as one voice that made two long tones that went on for quite a while. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I thought maybe it was the refrigerator so I checked but it wasn't. No matter where I looked I could not find the source but noticed it sounded the same anywhere I looked. Some months later my mother came up to me with a woman's shirt that was pink and had the word ,"LOVE" on it in big gold metallic letters that I didn't recall seeing before. She said to me, "Did you stretch this out." And I said, "No I don't recall ever seeing that shirt before." As the shirt was so gigantic that it went down to my knees and was wide enough to fit about two or three of me in it. She told me that it fit her before and was a tiny shirt not like it was at the time she showed it to me. I examined the shirt to see if it was stretched out but the threads and lettering on the front looked normal as far as I could tell. I asked her if she was sure this is the same shirt she thought it was and she said yes and that it fit her good before. My mother is petite and not a giant so this was very unusual.

If Jesus died on the cross for us and our sins , and said the price has been paid , and we go to confession to be forgiven our sins (if we're truly sorry) then what's going on with purgatory ,,,,
We hear of people who were very good in life, who kept the commandments, went to church, gave to the poor, loved their neighbors, etc,,,,,, and their in purgatory , and the story about one of the three children who were there when the blessed mother appeared ,,,,, she /the blessed mother said that the boy who was killed has to spend till the end of time in purgatory for his sins ,,,,, what's wrong with this picture ?
Where's all this forgiveness we hear about , I'm soppose to forgive people who transgress against me but when I die I'm to be tortured ( possibly till the end of time) for something I might've said, or done in the short lifetime I'm here on earth ,,, things just don't add up in my mind about so many contradictions that makes no sense,,,, this is part of the reason that I'm turned off by Catholicism .
I don't think of myself as a bad person , ive made lots of mistakes that I'm wholeheartedly truly sorry for making , but I wasn't bad all the time , now I'm told-- if I'm blessed,,,, I'll go to purgatory where I'll be tormented unceasingly for a undisclosed amount of time ,,,,,, and there's another thing , I was under the impression that time as we know it here doesn't exist after we die ,,,,, I can go on and on but ive gone long here as it is ,,,, anyone have any answers for me ???? You are saved entirely through the blood of Jesus Christ - His finished work on the cross.
The Holy Spirit then in dwells you - despite all your imperfections and continuing sin ( we all sin daily).
So think about it - if The Holy Spirit Himself is prepared to dwell within you - even despite your sin - then why would there be somewhere called purgatory- where you go to be "cleansed" of sin when you die?
It makes no sense - and like many RC dogmas - it makes Christ's perfect sacrifice " not enough" ..... there's always something "extra" required ....
It is not a matter of you believing something to be real or not. It is a matter of doing what is necessary and real. Purgatory is there because even if we have confessed our sins and had been forgiven, the sins still had spiritual effects on us and on our lives. They still have consequences. If we had not done our penances for our sins to be purified here on earth then we have the chance to do it in purgatory. This is why we have to suffer here on earth. Our time here is not to be happy but to learn to love the way Jesus, Mama Mary and the saints did. We can not go to heaven directly because we are not fully purified of material sins, attachments, things, ideas etc. BEWARE of hippy feel good theology. Jesus is very clear that the gate to heaven is very narrow. IT IS NOT A HIGHWAY WHERE ANYONE CAN ENTER EASILY.

He was banned from celebrating Public Mass TWICE ..by the Vatican ..a Doctor who examined his supposed stigmata said they were self inflicted ... Several Women said he made improper sexual advances during confession ....etc etc ..
His so called Sainthood was political .. within the Church ..not Spiritual ..
