Yes, God does indeed sustain us through all kinds of troubles, sorrows, griefs, pain, temptations.
But Jesus wants to do FAR MORE EXCEEDINGLY ABOVE all that we ask or think.... according to the power (of God) working in us.
Acts 10 38: Jesus was anointed of the Holy Spirit, and healed ALL OPPRESSED of the Devil, for God was with Him.
Jesus NEVER refused to heal anyone who came to Him in need of healing.
Jesus couldn't do any miracle in Nazareth because the local people only saw Jesus as a Carpenter's son.... NOT AS THE MESSIAH... ANOINTED OF GOD TO destroy every work of the Devil.
We do not receive anything from God EXCEPT by faith.
