Awesome. I was born and raised in San Diego and now live in Montana. I love the history 😊

That was beautiful. San Diego has many charming old neighborhoods. I have always loved them. I remember that there were times when when they were underappreciated. They're now revered for the treasures that they are.

My absolute favorite San Diego neighborhood is Bankers Hill. I love the feel and the vibe is stately and old school with the gorgeous old homes and corner grocers and Balboa park to name just a few. The suspension bridges just add to the feel that I'm in the 1950s...💖

I Like This Program Because I Like History & Historic Places Anywhere, but also because of Elsa Sevilla. She use to be with KGTV 10.

Beautiful I grew up on Adam's Ave. In 1953. Across from Trolley Barn Park. Which was the San Diego Paper Box Company. Which before that was the real Trolley barn. They tore the house down and put huge offices which don't fit the character if the neighborhood. I have a feeling that hone I grew up in was the Original house on the street maybe fir conducters.....

@Steven Stolar Good morning when I was little the neighborhood was really like Mayberry. Park Boulevard had stores, barbershops, beauty parlors, dimestore, pharmacy, car repair, liquor store. Malta shop. You could walk to school 5 different ways. Down alleys, down Park Boulevard. Georgia St. Florida, or around Cleveland Ave. I went to Alice Birney School. Kindergarten in the Original State college Building, by the Board of Education. There was a tunnel that went underground , wear Frank the Train Man store was. It came up by Tipton Motors car dealership. Then underground came up on El Cajon Blvd. There was A Aquarium store and a little store that had good candy. In 1963, Our school stood on the corner where Tipton Motors was, saw President Kennedy drive by. Have a blessed day stay well you and yours xoxo

Must be nice if you can have the money and buy an old place and fix it up for historical accuracy. Talking about the Benbow house.

“Gays” did more for Hillcrest, not sure if you grew up in San Diego but do you remember what happened too Hillcrest after they closed Sears? Soon People moved in an brought it back too life and as far as being “dicey” I truly hope your kidding
