Me: I want to be able to plan my first pair in inspection. I wonder if BrodyTheCuber has a video on it? *goes on BrodyTheCuber’s channel* UPLOADED 4 MINUTES AGO
I am a 7 year old cuber. My average was around 20 seconds and was stuck on it for a month. Almost quit cubing, but this video helped me to get back. U r awesome. Thanks
What I found was very helpful to do was to say the moves, as in the letters, in my head before execution because it helped me track. Idk if anyone else does it but it helps.
What I did to plan 1st pair in inspection was do a average of 100 everyday and do the predicting method. This way of doing this is the fasted way of learning this.
Hi Brody! I don't use CFOP as my main method but I believe that the same thoughts here can also be applied to Roux, I am struggling to consistently plan FB + DR everytime especially on solutions that moves a lot of faces which makes tracing very hard. It often hurts my brain and I lose motivation to continue planning the solve. What kind of mindset and practice routine do you think will help me?
I am currently around sub 50 and i want to reduce my time. What should i start from ? I can learn one of the following :- 1)All F2L algorithm 2)-Rotationless 3)-Colour Neutrality 4)-Learn all OLL algorithm 5)-Get faster in executing OLL & PLL algorithm 6)-Learn to make extended cross( i.e Cross+one F2l Pair) What should i start improving . Please give suggestion and in what sequence i should follow ? I am sub 50 wanting to be sub 20.
At that speed, just spam your tps, but if you have to choose one on the list, do color neutrality. Then just spam your tps until sub 30. Then you should learn to solve all f2l cases in under 8 moves with a few exceptions like the ones in j perm’s video of sub 15. Now practice with your better understanding of f2l until sub 20. Then start practicing look ahead and learn full pll. Practice this until sub 12. Then learn to track first pair and learn full oll. You now know everything to break the sub 10 barrier and even sub 8. Learn a few tricks here and then. This took about 10 minutes to write.
I'm sub 12 and only now have I started implementing it I could do it with enough inspection of course just didn't do it in solves but at this point I only get sub10s on planned fps
Brody i have a weird question (maybe eligible for your qna) when i see my cross and and some f2l pieces.... i feel very comfortable in planning it when my eyes closed (approx 90%) but this is reduced to 40-50% in open eyes.... is it common??
I'm the same, I have to visualise, and execute it in my head, but as soon as i open my eyes it all goes out the window as im distracted by other pieces....3 years and i'm still not sub 20 and the cross and 1st F2L is the hardest step for me.
I can't pay attention to the video because I'm too busy listening to the background music 😋 it isn't too loud or anything like that, I'm just a fan of the song !
Tips for people learning this: start of with the tracking method, as you get used to it you will memorize what moves pieces quicker and can then predict a lot easier
you should have every f2l case in your muscle memory, and the average when that happens may vary, for me, it was when I started averaging like 16-17 seconds, I can pretty much average under 16 now but I still don't knos how to do f2l+1 because of my lazy ass
you could tracking first and then start predicting but i would learn predicting right away as it leads to more flexibility with solves. tracking is easier tho
1:32 I suck at cross + 1 but i planned cross, saw the f2l pair, then changed the cross solution to keep the f2l pair in about 1.8 seconds 🤣 Edit: I used green orange cause it was free
I'm having trouble with predicting and imagining the pieces where they will go during the inspection time. Can anybody help me? I'll really appreciate it!
I'm not too experienced, but it seems like doing practices with unlimited inspection may help - take the time to plan out how you will do your cross exactly, then just imagine those moves in your head applied to a corner and edge pair. This feels like something you get faster at over time, so you could gradually improve your inspection time to below 15 seconds.
Hey Brody, almost sub-11 cuber here... My solves are mostly 11 second-ish, yet i find myself struggling to look-ahead faster. I can do look-ahead and i am efficient and i know that i could easily be sub-10 with good look-ahead but find myself slowing down too much for it to be beneficial... Any tips?
@@asdf14051 I had this problem with my GAN X. I had lost it for two months so I ordered an XS. The day my XS arrived I found the GAN X chilling, tucked away on the highest shelf in my bathroom
same here dude, if i just visualize what happens in my head, i quickly forget it when im tracking during inspection and have to start over again. if i memorize the move notations instead, it becomes much easier to know where the pair ends up after the cross solution

the tracking one is not that bad if you can track with fast turning and you can improve that with drilling it

When i have built the white cross after the white cross the 2nd layer is already there, is that a part of f2l?
Brody how to do f2l pair I only strucking hear brody
How long do you think it should take to master this?
a few hours of dedicated practice should do the trick. Then you need to force yourself to do it on every solve
