Great introduction sir. Could you please look at the difference between 'and' and 'or' in regards to probability and give examples using the tree diagram in your future videos? It's usually confusing for many students.

We have a big math test in the end of the year and there we have to answer 5/8 questions but we can choose any 5 we want and there is this subject and I have done this test twice but never chose this bc it’s so hard
When I was first introduced to probabilities, my teacher just had us memorize the formulas. My mind rebelled and I didn't do so well at it. While the variables were a just a few, there was no problem. However, when the variables expanded my eyes crossed and my mind decided it had enough.
Math stopped being fun and statistics became a means to ensure sleep at bedtime.
I could never understand how or why my brain reacted to probabilities in this manner when it remained awake with all the other formula based types of math. I suspect that my mind recognizes statistics as
Pr(infinit factors)= n/x to the infinit exponential degree and refuses to deal with it by hitting the shutdown button. It had a similar response during an introduction to computer programming class. As soon as a pattern emerged showing the possibility of infinit variables resulting in possible outcomes raised to the infinit degree, my brain shut down and ended the fun.😔 Josh, you are a fabulous math teacher. I enjoy every class...sven this one.
They aren't 3 coins (or 2), they are 3 throws. And you simply calculate outcomes as 2 to the 3rd power.
This would flow nicely into the "gamblers paradox". If you just flipped 4 tails in a row, you would think the chances of your next flip being a heads would be high - but it's still 50/50
