Hi! Just making my pattern now and like others am confused about marking the hip depth - you say just to take one hip depth measurement from the side of the waist to the hip - but then later you are using two different hip depth measurements taken at the front and back of the body. Just in case this helps anyone else - take two hip depth measurements, not one :)
On your video, go to the time 5:20. you divided the front hip ark by two. Can you explain that to me I’m new. I’m trying to understand what you’re doing so I really really can use your help. Thank you..
yes but because you won’t be adding allowance I just drafted the pattern exact to the body. you can always sew off the extra fabric if it ends up bigger than how you’d like. better to be too big than too small.
Hi 😃, I just Recently came Across your Chanel ! And I have to say I am obsessed😍🤗! This is so great, I have almost exactly the same measurements as you :D You must be 5'8" or 5'9" too :P it will be so easy to redo this leggings!! My lucky day I guess!
Hello there! Loving all your sewing tutorials. I’ve been able to make a few shorts and joggers thanks to you! Could you teach us how to make an A line dress?
I think there is something wrong, tell me if it is me, you brought front waist mark down down by an inch but back stayed same, right? So when you mark the hip depth in front and back, which is same, the front one should come down by an inch right? How come your back hip depth mark ended up lower than the front??
Hey, I'm so sorry! I actually meant to say that I lowered the front waistline by 1/2" not 1". Since the front hip depth is 1" less than the back hip depth, when it's measured from the 1/2" mark at the waistline, the front hip + crotch line ends up being 1/2" higher than the back hip + crotch line.

@@sewquaint this video has been so helpful!!! 🤞🏽 1 last question, when I complete the pattern I just cut straight down the middle? What if I want to use the same pattern for a small size person?
I’m glad I could help 😄 Yes, cut straight down the centre but if you’d like it roomy, add allowance when you’re cutting. I would suggest making a separate pattern for a smaller person. If you don’t want to do that you could cut this one out from fabric and just trim off the excess.
My back came out higher than the front… where have I gone wrong here ? And also the difference between hip and crotch depth is 4 inch? This okay? As you can probably guess I am total beginner 👍🏻

How does the back and front hip line not end up the same when the measurement is the same for front and back? Also, why did you measure and mark 9 inches at the back and 8 at the front for the hip line? I don't understand this part.
I am so confused on how you connect and line every measurement on the pattern paper. You line the hip depth, it was 9. You said do the same thing on the front, which became 8. I dont understand it. This is my 3rd pattern from you and i still have incorrect pattern.
This is my second, Im so confused too with the hip depth how the front turned out higher. In my ist, it was too big, the video with the purple shorts. I hope she makes a new video using a clear marker not a pencil, and not do voice over after. Instead speak while making the pattern. Im gonna make videos when I learned to make patterns, to help beginners, coz it's not easy finding a precise tutorial

Love your video it’s so easy to follow. 🙂
Hello ma'am. If I'm working with a very very stretchy fabric, can I use the main measurements without removing any measurement at all
You could perhaps take 2” off since it should be close fitting. You can always do a test first or even make adjustments afterwards.
Great video for beginners - thanks for the clarity and labeling

Hi, how to add seam allowance on the sides?
Thank you
Done subscribing on your channel..
Thank you for your tutorial that's what I exactly need for my project❤️❤️
I’m so happy I could help 🤗
Nicely explained thanks
Hi, should I add seam allowance if my fabric doesn’t stretch? If so should I mark seam allowance around the pattern including the crotch?
Hey, I'm so late but tes, add seam allowance.

Yup as long as you use their measurements.
Why does the crotch depth differ? I’m not sure what I’m missing… 😢

Measurment more clear plz wit cm
How did you get the waist to fit? I used my measurements mentioned and the waist came out too big
I used a waistband that was much smaller than my waist circumference.
i do the pattern but my hip depth is lower in the front pattern..how is that
that’s because it’s flatter on the front. your booty gives the back a bump to go over when measuring

Hi maam is no seam allowance?
No seam allowance because the fabric is super stretchy and the aim is a close fit.

The reason I think is Becuz she dropped the waist for the back by one inch. 🤷🏻♀️. Not sure
