Every country needs more people like this. We wouldn’t need the regulations and policies (often driven by corporate lobbyists), to keep communities intact, honest, productive and cooperative!
Keep hoping to keep my dream of running my little herd of cattle alive watching and listening gives this ole lady wanta be Cowgirl dream alive thank you!
You were literally just down the road from us. We drive past there several times a week. They've got a great operation. Now I want to go buy meat from them more than ever.
I ate Yak burgers when I was in Alaska last year. They were absolutely delicious. I knew very little about Yaks and even less about Yak ranching. Your video was extremely interesting and informative. I wish Jessica and Bob only the best with their ranching endeavors.
Like father like daughter! Great people, and both of them talk a blue streak and are GREAT to listen to ☺️ After sporting her 'Rodeo Time' shirt maybe Dale Brisby will feature her next!
Trinity we appreciate what you do for the beef industry and ranching lifstyle. Love for animals, family and community. The passion and entrepreneurial spirit you showcase is educational and inspiring. An international ambassador for the ranching lifestyle. We enjoy your channel around the world. Well done and thank you
I DO.... Nephew lives in Westcliffe....Silvercliff .....I think he still has his place up there but I know he did buy a property down in Pueblo West....I lived in Rifle
I love seeing the yak there. I live 8 miles from this place. PBJ Ranch a great blessing to our area. First time I saw a yak standing by the fence I had to take a double look. Thanks Trinity for showing this and coming to our area. Love your videos
I took a trip to Mongolia and did a two week horse trek across the country. We used Yaks as our pack animals. Some of the families we stayed with also milked yaks and used it for milk and yogurt.
7:05 Hola señor Trinity!!!👋😊👋that’s amazing how you even say that cow is so tamed…makes me think that cow is the girl’s pet I guess I’m not a farmer but I know that some cows get very accustomed with humans specially if you feed them and give them treats…11:50 that girl can talk 👀😜but she is very knowledgeable about the subject and she is right about the LDL Cholesterol stuff I’m glad she brought it up so everyone hears about it 😊
This was sooo intersting . You realy show ranching in its goodness . Thankyou for anothere great history ranch report . And thank them they where realy interesting to listen too . They know there history and cows and yacks .
Thank you for making yet another fantastic piece of content. I learned something about another aspect of ranching! You find the greatest people to showcase! Great stories and loved the history of this ranch told by your subjects! Nice to see how interested and invested she was in this business as well....woohoo!
What a great show Trinity the world would be a better place with more people like that they were awesome you are awesome and keep up the good work young man
Lots of good information. Yaks make great predator control. That’s why during the summer I run yaks with my cattle. I also have a couple of donkeys and a few llamas. For some reason you don’t see coyotes in the pasture. Can see them on the neighbors though.
I live here in Florissant not too far from this ranch, and I really enjoyed this presentation, it's such a beautiful ranch, and it's fun to see the herd on our way back and forth to town. Appreciate the history information as well. Well done!!
Watched my first video earlier today, and thoroughly enjoyed it. So much so that I kept going and loved the information, the wonderful people who are working the land so responsibly, and the making a difference to communities. Great series, so keep on going!
This is so so awesome Trinity !!! Thank you for putting out wonderful educational and thoughtful content that showcases remarkable people and families!!
My wife & I back in 2019 or close we were in Ouray CO at the KOA and we came back from driving around and saw a sheriff and EMT on the Bridge over the river thought there was a drowning or someone fell in. But not the case they were Following a Moose up the valley from Ridgeway CO trying to keep it off of HWY 550 but it ended up in a field with Yaks and they were not happy. But he Moose didn't care at all. Fun time the moose wandered across the hwy and up to an old mine and safe
Trinity, you never fail to make me wish I lived closer.. Probably good thing I don't, I'd make a pest of myself.. I'm going to be in Alberton this summer and fall, will probably try to look you up and have a cup of "Bean Juice" (Coffee) with you..
The Salers cattle in my limited experience were all nuts!! Jump fences and try to kill you if you turned your back. There was a Yak rancher in Pincher Creek as well. He said you had to be extra careful at calving time.
I have to agree with her that some angus not all but some can be very docile I have one that when she was 400 pounds she would lay her head in my sons lap if he would sit down in the field she’s over 1000 now and she’s still the most gentle cow I have ever seen
Just wondering if there's anything that they do with the yak fur. Years ago I had a pair of what they used to call "Moon boots." The inner boot structure was made of foam & the outer part was made out of yak fur. People always noticed them and commented on them, because the boots were such a novelty. The long shaggy fur kind of resisted the ice balls that ordinarily form in longer hair like that. I would think that those artisan spinners who make yarn out of dog fur and fancy sheep fur and Angora goat fur and all that stuff could probably find something unique to do with that yak fur. Really really enjoyed your video. These people are the "salt of the earth. " Maybe there's hope for America yet! If we could relocate some of those New York "ghetto gang bangerz" they'd see what life is really about!
Love your videos. They’re well done in all aspects but the Colorado history especially appeals to this San Luis Valley girl. Speaking of lettuce and potatoes, have you considered featuring the SLV. It’s very rich in Native American and Spanish history, boasts the largest inland dunes in the world and the oldest ( I think) town in Colorado and the farming & ranching scene is fascinating.
Jessica is EXTREMELY intelligent, something we need more in ranch management. Unfortunately as said, many people are leaving the ranching business or have more than one job. It's so ironic because education is at a peak for this business, but no one is learning more.
I'm laughing as I watch the 😢 Cowboys laugh at me as I train my Cattle when young how to get in and out of a stock trailer using horse treats so I can doctor etc if need be without help but also no disrepect allowed fromthe cattle either..problem I get attached to my cattle but also only have 20 head beef plus pairs and 4 corrientes..❤❤love this and your channel
The Yak (Poephagus grunniens) is a large cattle native to Central Asia, it is the second largest living cattle species, the second largest living bovine, and the second largest living bovid in the world, it is the only extant species of the genus Poephagus and the closest living relative of both the European Bison (Bison bonasus) and the American Bison (Bison bison), the scientific name of the yak means "grunting grass-eater" in latin, there are two recognized subspecies of yak: the Himalayan Yak (Poephagus grunniens grunniens) and the Kunlun Shan Yak (Poephagus grunniens kunlunshanensis).
@@LifeintheWest Have you heard of the Ross Ranch between Circle and Jordan. I worked on the ranch the summer I was 16. I'm from Texas. I loved it! I didn't want to leave but my dad wouldn't let me stay.
I live in Florissant which is very close to Divide where PBJ is. Unfortunately they are quite expensive and hard to support local businesses and yes, I still buy local that’s more affordable…anyway it’s good to see local farming surviving this economy

Another great ranch story, love thes type’s of stories and the land history.
How fascinating that yak is so much more healthier for people than beef. I learned something new. Thanks Trinity. And the view is incredible too!

Not even that steel shot in the middle of her tongue slows her down. LOL
Oooo ..
Nasty.😳
I drive by there all the time, but didn't know all the details of running the ranch! Thanks for sharing! Wasn't it called the Clark Ranch at one time?

This is where we have gotten a half cow for the last 3 or 4 years!!!!
Do they ship to Pa? And how are the prices?
As we would say here in EIRE [ireland] That woman would talk the cross off a donkeys back 🤣🤣😂😂
You folks should contact Cowboy Kent Rollins for you chuck wagon meals (maybe you already do). He has a UA-cam channel where you can get contact info.
