I have this exact model VCR. I need to pick up a new remote for it though because that has disappeared. Is it even possible to perform the transfer without the remote?
I'm trying to do a bunch of dubbings without having to hook unit up to a TV. I know this is easy by just pressing the dubbing button on the unit. But my problem is how to "finalize" the disc without having to hook to a TV to choose finalize. Possible? Would make my project so much easier.

Hi, what if you don't press stop and you just let it record until the VHS tape coming to an end, what will happen, can you then finalize it when you're ready
What kind of material do I need to use for a multi-regional DVD player and/or NTSC/PAL to add to this machine? I have a 32in 1080 HDMI VIZIO Smart TV and currently shopping around for a good VCR/DVD combo set...what's your recommendation? During some of my travels overseas in Europe or while shopping in European markets, I'll come across a few films of interest, mostly foreign and independent releases from dramas to even documentaries. I also come across American TV shows as well that are European imports. Please advise Thanks!

Is there a way to set the exact amount of time to record? What I mean is, lets say you have 2 separate events on a vhs tape: event 1 is 45 minutes and event 2 is 50 minutes. Is there a way to setup the transfer from vhs to dvd to stop at 45 minutes automatically at the end of event 1?

Everytime I have dubbed one on mine, I've had to watch it as it records. There is no high speed dubbing like vhs to vhs does.
