I have a funny story literally happened today. I was at my MT gym for the Saturday spar. Afterwards, one guy was doing some chit-chat, saying something like "good spar, you have good defense, you've been training what 3-4 years?"
I've literally been training only 6 months, but Gabriel your videos really make a huge difference!
I always say it’s not about how long you’ve been training it’s about how much you learn and how good you are at applying it
Denis has worked so hard for this and deserves this shot at Rodtang! Alin has done an amazing job with all his fighters at HOC in Stoney Creek!!
Denis ' style is made for Rodtang. There's no way he can beat Rodtang in Rodtang's game, standing in front of him
They're both hyper aggressive Muay Mats. Rodtang's chin is peerless but I'd give the defensive edge to Denis. Id also give a slight power edge to Rodtang since we all know what Tank is capable of there and Puric landed his power shot in this fight clean and didn't KO him.Will be very interesting but Rodtang would still be the favorite.
@@clapdrix72 Rodtang has good defense he jsut doesn’t need it versus farang. Watch him agaisnt superlek. Effective guard, good use of elbows to counter punching, etc.

Anyone knows why Rodtang hasn't got a rematch against superlek yet?
@@MikeyLee559 my feeling is one doesn’t want superlek to be champ and superlek probably wants to take haggertys belt so the Thai can keep as many belts as possible. There is a real panic that farang are catching up. And rodtang is the golden boy can’t have him dethroned.
I remember Puric from his CAMTAO days when House of Champions was Iron Tiger Muay Thai. Shane Campbell was also an amateur during that era. Kru Alin has produced some of Canada’s best fighters. He’s also a cut man for the UFC now, also.

Rodtangs elbow game is incredible
He sneaks in elbows where opponent does not expect.
His aggression and forward movement is outstanding
Plus his liver shots when he leans to the left extends his arm is incredible.
My prediction is because Denis is not a tall fighter matching Rodtang

I'm clueless, but to clueless me it feels like the power behind Rodatng's strikes is just another level compared to this. Same for his 'tank' toughness. I really don't see Denis being a match for Rodtang.
Denis’s biggest weakness is his dependency on his power and explosiveness.
That's what Muay Mats do, it's their strength. I'd say his weaknesses are overextending on his shots (off balance trying to throw everything at 120%) and perhaps a penchant for brawling which only works if you have a granite chin like Rodtang cuz you will inevitably take some hard shots doing that.

Denis doesn't stand a chance against Rodtang. You people still don't know that under Muay Thai rules he has no rivals.
they keep feeding rodtang these farang who can't stand with him. give him yodlekpet, give him superlek again. just someone who can actually challenge him. no hate to puric, he is great, but i don't think this will end up good for him.
Rodtang is the face of One Championship, they will never let him lose.

Based on what I am seeing here I don't think he can beat Rodtang. His kicks don't look powerful enough, and he looks like he throws strong punches but he mostly just hits the guys guard.
