Pure RNG. Scanner can get deactivated but we somehow got bad RNG for all 6 with blue being deactivated. If Scanner does get deactivated (which normally happens right as I grab the 2nd core), i'll go to a terminal to deposit buff and then put core in, with the help of 2nd player (since they should be free around that time).
The only thing I'm confused about is the diamond lances during taniks. I get that it allows the suppressor to drop the core, but I can't think of a reason why they would need to drop it other than maybe radiation stacks? I would think that the scanner would be able to come back to the suppressor in time to take it off them, but I could be wrong.
It's a combination of the radiation stacks and the timing of the core swap. Using the 3-6 core dunk @ 35:05 as an example (which we used a lance for), we were able to keep both players at x7 radiation. Without the lance, suppressor would spend more time running with the core and be close to the #3 bin by the time scanner can dunk and catch up (therefore being on higher radiation). Or if we wanted to limit the suppressor to x7 or x8 radiation without a lance (the suppressor radiation is much more important as they get like +3 radiation during the suppress, which matters in 2nd round of dunks), we would have to meet somewhere closer to the #6 dunk, making it a longer run for the scanner. Then also consider if the scan was 4-5, it would be a longer run for both people so it's tight on radiation without a lance. But there is definitely a point where using a lance can be worse if it is too far off-line for the suppressor
Before last season ended, a clanmate and I used you guy's run for reference and we made it to final boss! Didn't get the completion though, as last encounter was pretty tough. Do you guys think you'll do another attempt this season? I'm curious what the damage strategy will be due to Starfire nerf.
Probably won't do a full run again this season, but maybe we'll try doing a Duo 2 phase again to see if possible (probably is?). No Starfire, but we get Apex/CC rockets with very nice perks. It's awesome you've gotten to the boss, definitely go for the clear this season! Any questions, let me know
im just gettin into low man raids and im clueless so bare w me, i get how you broke through the purple barrier on taniks, but how did ludachris? i didnt see him using a sword or anything
You can check all 3 for Light, but only 2 for Dark, Dark-Left and Dark-Mid. There's a small gap in the floor and specific angles to see all 3 fuses on Light side, and it's much easier for Dark side using the glass on the floor. But there's a video that'll hopefully explain the strat in more detail here - ua-cam.com/video/jOdQRHGYq4c/v-deo.html
I did check the dark glass spots, where needed. Phase 1 had Light-Left then Light-Mid, and lastly Dark-Mid which I checked at 5:50 ish. Then for Phase 2 it was Light-Right, then Dark-Left (which was checked at 7:00 ish) and finally Dark-Right, the final one. Oh you might mean the panels to get to damage? Unfortunately it was D12 so the video doesn't show all the spots, but basically each spot can be checked except D2. I checked D45 at 6:10 ish (it was none of them) and then checked D3 at 6:22 ish (wasn't this one either), so by elimination I called D12 and didn't need to manually check. Hope this clears it up! If we had different RNG you would see me check D1 in another spot.
Trying to understand he stares threw the wall the fuse is glowing but not red or yellow to indicate the right one so how is he shooting the fuse when it’s clearly not indicating that it’s the right one to shoot

how did you guys do so much damage for taniks with only 6 gjally and no debuff? It seems like my duo and I have the same weapon and mods as you guys, except voltshot, but we haven't even hit 2 phase damage. What titan helmet do you use? Or maybe our warlock just has a bad rotation
Yeah nothing too fancy is going on. I'm using Gally + Cartesian (Vorpal/BossSpec) and both are benefitting from x3 Solar Surge; and using my Riptide with Vorpal/BossSpec as backup. The Warlock is doing the rotation with Witherhoard/Voltshot (when it works)/Hothead and benefitting from x3 Arc Surge, and Starfire naturally. My Helmet is purely to make extra Stasis Lances for the cores, nothing to do with damage. How close is your damage? You can get Taniks to slightly over 50% HP and still get a 2 phase, because of the final stand chunk. I don't think there's a detail i'm forgetting hmm
@@SimoZXGaming I think our best this season was up to the I in abomination? Once I even had 9 gjally and I don’t think we crossed halfway. I was wondering if there were any stackable buffs I was forgetting but seems like no. I’ll ask my warlock to record his pov and see if there’s anything he can do better. Do you know how much damage both of you usually do per phase number wise?
@@karmaDS2 The I in abomination is pretty close, might just be 1 small thing missing. A few other things to check off - Titan using Powerful Friends to max out the Warlock's surge (also Powerful Friends only works if they have Armor Charge to begin with, if they have 0 going into damage it won't give them any charge). - Keep gjally shot for the 2nd half of damage phase. - Warlock with 2x Reserves for 9 rockets total (just for the rally banner and ammo run), and Explosive Light x6 (Frenzy is close enough over 9 rockets as long as it's active from the start). - The Warlock rotation would definitely be important, I just stole it from the people doing Solo Nezarec which ends up being perfect timing to throw the maximum number of fusions grenades while still shooting all 9 rockets. - I don't know if the Voltshot damage works out the same for Taniks, but I recall people saying it equates to about 1 rocket worth of damage on Nez.
So you'll hear us say either Left or Right, and then either Catwalk or Regular. When the alarm goes off, we quickly check all 4 core spawns and see if they're glowing yellow or not, because this is where the cores will be spawning. If we say Left, it means the double cores are on Left side, and same thing for Right. Catwalk means there's 2 cores on the catwalks, and Regular means there's only 1 core on the catwalk. Now importantly, if it's a regular call, suppresor will start where the double is. If it's a Catwalk call, suppresor will finish where the double is. This allows the person handling 2 cores, me, to prioritise the catwalk cores which are much closer to the middle, leaving the Suppresor to get the core furthest away where possible. The quick answer as for the Suppresor's pathing is: Regular Left = Left->Mid->Right Regular Right = Right->Mid->Left Catwalk Left = Right->Mid->Left Catwalk Right = Left->Mid->Right I probably explained this poorly, but it works for us and I reckon it's optimal once learned, making the most of catwalk spawns is ideal! Let me know if you need further clarification.
And I have another question in the 3rd encounter Does clearing ads makes the cores spawn timing earlier? I found that you two were not clearing them after putting cores in. Or is it just because not to die?
@@ch1dnjswo Yeah killing ads will make the next pair of cores spawn quicker, that's why you see both of us head to the back of the room and wait it out. We do kill the Void shielded Captains and Overload if given the chance. Once the deactivated augment is around 10s, we go back to killing ads, preparing for the next round
Because I can get 100 mobility and have an exotic be somewhat beneficial lol. I would prefer Dunemarchers but I can only get to 90 mobility with them, and i'd rather 100. To delay Taniks. After depositing the first pair of cores, I use the Stasis super to place a bunch of Stasis crystals in the spot where Taniks is heading. This stops him from starting the next part for a bit, giving us time to run down the augment deactivated timer.
Haha classic. But at the time, more relieved we finally got it. Just confused and sad we got it on a run that wasn't as clean (2 phase Atraks, game crash in 2-3 etc.)
To break out of the detain bubble, otherwise i'd be stuck inside with no one to shoot me out. Using eagers edge at precise times you can use the momentum to break yourself out of the bubble. You can also swing a little early, but you risk getting detained in between swings and stuck inside. The first detain bubble i'm a little nervous and swing early, but the other three I get decent eagers momentum.
@@matipedi4507 Yeah it's also possible with the melee Shiver Strike. Only problem is if you mistime it and don't escape the bubble, you can't do a second melee and are stuck. Definitely possible and with practice probably fairly consistent, but i'd recommend Eager Edge personally
