- So, this is the way they wanted to start over, huh? Well, I'm not pleased. This is easily the worst Terminator sequel ever.
SIDE NOTE: Yes, I know I contradicted myself when I said in my Mary Sue video that Dani Ramos was a Mary Sue.

This movie made me want to cry, honestly. I agree with everything you say on this, and i was particularly upset that Sarah Connor (my favourite character!) was downgraded like this. It felt so disrespectful! Also the big deal at the end about Dani not being just someone's mum (which seemed to be the whole 'point' of the movie ☹), but she had all the power and was a kick a55 leader in her own right. That was so unnecessary really, as despite Sarah being John Connor's mother she was much much more than that, and he wouldn't be so powerful without her. She is a warrior in her own right, on a level with "Alien's" Ripley - I hated that big insinuation that she's "just a mum" ☹
As far as I'm concerned the Terminator Saga ended with Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991). Everything else that came after T2 was and is nothing more than a bad Fanfiction and a Cash Grab.
This franchise's coffin bought the whole hardware store's worth of nails.
I didn't bother to see this.
I absolutely LOVED Dark Fate! 🤗
It’s not only hands down the best Terminator film since T2- but in some aspects it surpasses T2; I personally just could never get over Furlong playing John so whiny/petulant in T2.
[Due to personal issues] I was unable to see Dark Fate in the theater; but as soon as I could- I watched it on home video. I hate that the film wasn’t a huge financial success; because it absolutely deserved to be. It not only pays homage to what came before- but delivers something new while also being able to stand on its own.
I’d have loved to have seen a sequel follow-up to the film. I always felt that [for the Terminator franchise to be successful] they needed to move past Sarah and John Connor- which Dark Fate does effectively while paying tribute to the characters [which is not an easy feat].
Oh well. Que sera sera.
