Yes, it's great that they have finally made their platforms much clearer. They have listened to the photography community and made this their stills centric camera....thank goodness!!! Pre-ordered mine and can't wait to get my hands on it
I'm waiting on a 40Megapixel update on the X-Pro line myself. I love my X-Pro2, but I'd love to have the newer features found in the X-Pro3 & now the XT-5.
"compared to the XT3 you are seeing more detail" - I wonder if that detail is simply because the image is larger in the XT5. If the XT3 image was increased to the size of the XT5, how then would that detail compare? To my eye on the youtube video - I have to wonder if there would be any difference at all.
I dunno - I have an X-T4 and do both video and photography. I think the point that has been missed here is physical size for travelling. My father bought an X-H2; wouldn't use it as it is too bulky (but although as the floppy screen). X-T5 nicer size, but has no flippy screen. There was zero difference in video quality TBH between the X-T4 and X-H2. I had to use the X-H2 back to normal 4K as the IBIS was too jittery in other > 4K modes - I always need to apply DIS to my video footage. The absolultely most stupid thing Fujifilm did with this camera, which is focused on "detail" was not to include the improved 5K EVF. Now that is a crazy decision, and was one of the one things that blew me away on the X-H2. I can't believe Fuji Film went cheap on that when there is only a £200 difference between the X-T5 and X-H2. I am personally sticking with my X-T4 until their next round. If they don't come up with something more sensible I might go with another brand - although nothing much sensible seems to be coming out from them either. Best thing to do is spend the money on going nice places and take photos and video. Ironically all Fujifilm's new releases have made me happier with my X-T4 :)
Well done! Having X-T3 bodies (+ an X-E4) I appreciate the comparison. Worth the updgrade. I just have to find a buyer for my infrared converted X-T3 body 😜
The new batteries are actually great. Huge improvement over the XT3 and noticeably better than the XT4. The batteries are larger and new camera is more efficient.
The double exposure features? It’s a relatively common feature thats why. I mean you can do multi exposures even on Instax cameras so it’s not something I would personally rave about.
@@Sondercreative i assume you mean multiple exposure ? (double exposre means only two-in the case of the fuji it is up to 9 ) - and it may be a 'common feature' but it's never talked about - maybe because it's too difficult to do so ?

Haven't noticed any substantial af improvement comparing with xt3, fw 4.2
How's eye tracking. Are you using the XT5 or have tested it?
X-T5 comes with a USB-C to 3.5mm jack. Not a jack directly on camera, but non the less a solution.
I have a 3, skipped the 4 in hopes the 5 would be what the 5 is. Looking forward to getting one.
Would have been nice to have the option of a battery grip as all previous X-T cameras had this option.

Opinions on the SQ10/20 when compared to the SQ1/6?

Fuji since the X100 has had not great auto focus. They need to focus on that. X-Pro is the camera, X-T is hybrid, and H series video.
So the angles achieved on the 3way articulating screen cant be matched by the fully articuling screen?
Can be but photographers find it to be more of a fuss. It requires more time and fiddling about than a simple tilt screen. I like both :).
