Something that's never mentioned much, is just how great the acting is in this game. Seriously, it's probably the best ever, imo, especially the actor that voices, Edward.
Agreed. It's really jarring playing newer Ubi games, then going back to their older games and seeing how much more consistently the acting is in their older games. Don't get me wrong, we still get gems like Bayek's performance, but not all of the acting in the newer games is on that same level; acting in the older games has NPCs performing with quality comparable to the protagonists.
ill never forget randomly happening upon a man of war fighting another man of war. Stalking them for like 10 minutes and then immediately engaging the ship that won and was super weakened and adding it to my fleet. Also, boarding a ship and shooting all your pistols was amazing
I think it comes In at 3rd because assassins creed 2 comes in at second and despite all of its bugs and it's glitches assassins creed unity comes in first
I have to agree man. Graphics /technicalities aside etc this is just my favourite. Ship combat, brilliant story I love Edward so much. Genuinely sad how all your compatriots are dead by the end, the cutscene with young Haytham felt like you’d truly watched Edward’s life happen and finish. My favourite character of the post Ezio/Altair era
I still remember If there was any Ship that was too powerful to defeat I would just use a trick where I would go as near as I can to that ship using my own and then switch to Edward immediately and run into the water and latch on to the enemy ship and I would go in and assassinate or fight all the crew and after all the crewmates were dead I would return to my ship and just one attack would sink the enemy ship since there was no crew left on it to defend it.....man I took down so many ships that were way above my level using this tactic.

AC Odyssey is the best merging of Blag Flag and took a lot of the open world aspects or origins and dialed the volume way up. I know alot OG AC fans didn't appreciate the inclusion on RPG but if you come from playing Final Fantasy type RPGs its not that much of a leap the leap comes in if you've never played a AC game and Origins and Odyssey than its very Jarring.
I can't wait for the remaster, but I hope they don't botch it. FWIW I first played this on XBOX 360 and compared to games from a decade before (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic) I agree: it's held up extremely well. My only complaint is that the console versions seem to have more glitches and graphic shortcuts that make it look clunky - even though I prefer using a controller over keyboard. PS: my favorite game of the series is Unity. I would also really like to see them remake ACII and Brotherhood.
I've never played an AC game, besides the very first one. Can't remember why it didn't "click" for me. However Black Flag is on sale for $15 on Steam so I'll give it a shot... It's Sunday and I'm looking for something different.

& big ships.
*would buy it 200$ ong*
I played it when it came out and I’m still playing DAILY
I’m only on the second mission I’m trying so hard to keep going it’s so frustrating
Never played before, I was on the fence but after watching this ima buy it 🔥🔥🔥
I beat this game 5 times back in the day at 2016
I've never played an AC game, besides the very first one. Can't remember why it didn't "click" for me. However Black Flag is on sale for $15 on Steam so I'll give it a shot... It's Sunday and I'm looking for something different.
Yo i request updates😹
@@LeafyPeach I bought it, it wouldn't boot because of Ubisoft's Uplay DRM garbage, immediately refunded it to Steam. Highly disappointing. There are fixes but I refuse to troubleshoot games with DRM issues.
@@toastonryeYT sheesh, at that point I'd just go "yohoho".
