Thanks for the review. Very handy piece of equipment for a client monitor. Annoying it doesn’t control focus though!
Thanks! Not sure if it’s possible but hopefully focus is something they can add through updates.
Does the app allow tap-to-focus so you can change focus zones when face recognition is not possible? Like when you face away from the camera shooting some b-roll for example?
@@GlenReed thanks. I hope they can add that in firmware- it looks like a new company and new product. Some waveforms and peaking would be good too. It does start-stop video recording control though right?
I have made those same exact suggestions to the company myself. Hopefully they add these features, it would make the product WAAAYYY more useful for a lot of people. Yes it does start and stop recording.
Fix the lag and make the camera control functions adjustable to only one monitor and you got a winner!
Is the raveneye system reliable? I mean it could be used also without the gimbal as hdmi wireless transmitter for pulling focus remotely? Or it would be better something like the hollyland 300 pro transmitter?
Do the focus motor work without the gimbal as a stand alone focus system?
Hi! I just have one question, how did you get the BenBox HDMI and also a camera monitor HDMI to the same camera? Thanks!
Hey! The monitor has a HDMI out, so I simply plugged the camera into the monitor and the monitor into the BenBox. Thanks for watching 🙂
Would this work well with a wireless field monitor as well?
I have one important question: can the benbox also connect to an already established wifi network in which the pc to control it is also connected?
I am looking for a wireless Transmitter that I can use to have a mobile camera with an operator during a livestream and if I have to use a dedicated wifi that benbox makes than I can't stream from the device.
Great question, but unfortunately it don’t have an answer 😔 I only have a Mac which doesn’t offer a app
Can we use this Benbox transmitter to livestream in OBS Studio? I think it won't register as a Video capture device but we can use the Window capture. Can you try if that works? Video with audio livestream to OBS. Appreciate if you could test it out.
Thanks for the question and sorry for the delayed response. Unfortunately I don't have any experience with OBS. But I can tell you that the Benbox does not transmit audio and there is no way to remove the onscreen controls to give you a clean feed for capture. Hope this helps. If I get the opportunity to try any further testing I will let you know. Thanks for watching.
Is it possible to switch off all those function keys of the app to get a clean video signal for screencapture?
Unfortunately not. Hopefully they will add it as a option in a future firmware update.
thx for good review :) but i have a question, does it support timer??
Thanks! I don’t believe it has a timer option unfortunately. That is something they could add in a firmware update though. It might be worth reaching out to them and make the suggestion. Thanks for watching!
could I use this for a multi-cam setup, I have 3 gopros that are wired and go into OBS via HDMI/USB capture cards, then I have 2 other mirrorless cameras with really long HDMI cables, I wanna get one of these for each camera so there is no more tripping hazard. I'm doing a live band streaming show.
Unfortunately I don’t think this would work and would have no way to remove the controls from the screen.
can you connect the transmitter to a monitor via HDMI monitor instead of camera and still get signal as long as the HDMI monitor is connected to the camera
Yes as long as you are connected to the hdmi out on the monitor. Thanks for watching!
very good product. with the last firmware it works great. I love this product. the price is also good. the image quality and the latency is for the price more than ok.
Does it for example also transmit audio throw the devices or only image video?
can i use any cables to connect the inkee to the camera or only the cables that already have the device work?
You can use any HDMI cable, not sure about the trigger cable but I would think you could use a different one as well since it’s just a basic cable. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching!
Does it support canon cameras ?
If I have two camers and buy two of this things ,can I cobect both to app or sth and do a livestream?
Unfortunately I don’t think you can. Bit if you find it works please let me know.
Can this work with a canon powershot sx 520 my camera doesn’t have WiFi or Bluetooth
Can you help me. I cant detect the benbox as a wifi source in my pc. Is there any way to resolve the prob?
Sorry to hear you are having difficulty. Are you able to see it as a WiFi source on any other devices?
3:31 Does it transmit video signals to monitors as well?
It will only transmit to iOS, android and windows systems unfortunately. Thanks for watching!
Works for the canon t3i???
Can I use it on the Zoom meeting or video conference to capture video from my DSLR?
Honestly I haven’t tried, but I think it will only work with the Benbox app and wouldn’t register as a camera for the zoom app. If I get some time soon I will give it a try.
Hi, I have not much experience and therefore this question: the old camcorder HDC-SD90 has no WiFi possibility but of course it has HDMI for video signals to the Field Monitor. I use the monitor for better view filming while walking with the Rigg. I suppose that in the list into the app the name will not be listed. This question because it confused me, there is said, any camera with an HDMI connection. Luc
Hey! Yes you could still use it to monitor the video wirelessly, you just won’t be able to use it to control the camera unless it has a generic remote trigger port. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
Ok, in that case, the ribbon HDMI connected to the Panasonic HDC-SD90 doesn’t derange and let work properly the field monitor on the Rigg. The wireless equipment look nice but your answer let me understand to wait the time is bought an modern camera such as Sony RX100 or S7. For iPhone filming is using wireless Mirascreen. It works fine unless using some microphones that are not shielded. Then is there the annoying tik, tik comes from electric interferences. I bought groundloop but unfortunately it doesn’t transmitting the audio signal. Lucky that I own 1 pare shielded microphones. So far I see is the wireless system that you have explained in the presentation at this moment an not needed order. Good to knowing as well, when the current camera is updated I need to come back to your presentation to remember what this item all has to offer. Luc Rik
Does it support direct sound recording from amplifier?
Sorry but I no longer have this item to test it. Hopefully someone else sees your question and will have an answer for you. Thanks for watching!
Do you have an idea if this can control a canon eos m5 or 70d? Tia.
Hey! Unfortunately I have not tried with either of those cameras. If those cameras have the option to add an external remote via a standard remote connector then yes it will control it. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Can you game on this? Not concerned with no audio as I have ways around that
another update.... the thirdparty LUT´s works on iOS devices. on android the are only strange colors visible. but on ios the LUT´s are not bad.
funciona con mi blackmagic 4k
Can I use this device on a sports field where there is no WiFi?
Great question! Yes you can. It connects to your phone or tablet through its own WiFi connection.
Is the raveneye system reliable? I mean it could be used also without the gimbal as hdmi wireless transmitter for pulling focus remotely? Or it would be better something like the hollyland 300 pro transmitter?
Do the focus motor work without the gimbal as a stand alone focus system?
Will it work with my lumix gx85?
Yes! It works with mine 🙂. Sorry for the delayed response UA-cam labeled this differently in my comments
What the name of the app?
CAN YOU RECORD THE VIDEO FROM YOUR DEVICE
I haven’t tried, but if you screen record it will likely show the menus and buttons on the recording.
will it work with Komodo camera
I will work with any camera that has a full size hdmi out for video transfer, but for camera control I doubt it will work with the Komodo unfortunately. Thanks for watching!
It is a nice product but it doesn't have a receiver so it could be used in small churches
@@GlenReed It would be nice. I would have purchased it for a small church
does not work well with sony cameras
