They had to get over the stadium early because of the fireworks. The flyover is timed to coincide with the ending of the song, but their decision to skim over the top meant they had to beat the fireworks. Beautifully executed. Hat's off to the entire flight.
I'm the pyro lead for the Titans, your statement is false, we don't shoot until all aircraft are clear of the south scoreboard, we go off their timing not the other way around
@@middletnpyro One of the pilots here, to double down on this statement ^ us being early was due to the fact that we don't receive the length of the anthem, we were just given a time on target (11:59:30 if I remember correctly). Therefore we had no ability to adjust timing based on the song start, we just had to trust that they were on time. I remember getting the call that the song had started and suspecting we were going to be early, but we just had to assume it would be the fastest national anthem of all time and drive on. Luckily I think it still turned out well thanks to the pyro timing up well with the end of the song and the length of time we were over the stadium - but if we were in jets it definitely would've felt awkwardly early.
lady sang so damn slow she was like 30 seconds behind. it genuinely makes me mad lol the SSB isn't your time to get creative or show your artistry. do the job in respect and get off the field.
