- India and Canada have each expelled six diplomats in tit-for-tat moves…as the row over last year's assassination of a Sikh separatist on Canadian soil intensified. Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) accused Indian government agent of being linked to an organised crime group called the "Bishnoi gang."
National Investigation Agency describes the group as a criminal gang headed by Lawrence Bishnoi.
As per his lawyer, Bishnoi faces over 40 criminal cases with many trials yet to begin. Criminal cases against him include murder and extortion.
India has not reacted to the accusations of links between government officials and the Bishnoi gang. India has previously rejected as "preposterous" all Canadian accusations about the murder. Watch in for more details!
